Thought it was not a bad bet tonight. I was right about horses ability, shame about drive. Watch the race again Blair Wilmott, every decision you made was wrong, poor. But i guess i deserve it, punting in these types of races

One mistake to not go on the 3 wide train.

Not sure there were more than one.

Bit annoying nonetheless.

No doubt he would have been better keeping a position where he could have improved unimpeded, Just an error in judgment but one you see in    a lot of races.  The stipes are quite right to ask the question but don't think it will be taken any further.   Watch this horses previous run, it was driven in almost identical style about the same point of the race by a different driver.

At the end of the day, it was an amateur race.

They are amateurs and every amateur race is run differently and with some very poor drives in all,of them.

We have debated amateur races before and I personally have sorted out horses that should get in but are beaten by poor drives or poor drives by other amateurs.

Debateable whether there should be betting on these races but it is up to the punter to decide whether they want to be in or not.

We have to take the good with the bad and the Amateurs are only doing it for the fun of it rather than requiring to make an income or future out of it!

Seems to be a trend with the Amateurs. Immortal Change and Every Option!

It seems those who protest against betting on the amateurs are correct!

EVERY OPTION - Stewards questioned B Wilmott regarding the manner he drove near the 600 metres when he turned down an opportunity to improve three wide in favour of remaining in the two wide line and in consequence to that becoming covered up and having some difficulty obtaining clear racing room. Mr Wilmott explained that he felt that the horse he was following was more likely to take him into the race and he was mindful of the trainer's instructions that the horse was best suited to being driven for one run. Mr Wilmott added that the lead horse in the three wide line (STOP MEANS STOP) was under pressure at the time so thought his best chance of getting a run was to the inside which he said would have eventuated if OPAWA MACH had not shifted ground and hampered him. After considering the explanation of Mr Wilmott, Stewards were satisfied that in the circumstances his explanation was reasonable and took the matter no further.
