Tell us please.

Simply want all the money bet off shore, no more Sportsbet, Ladbrokes etc etc.

Benefits obvious , not my words, just the general assumption

I suspect lots might pull the pin if it was  close border betting

If I was a bookie, I'd lay odds you suspect correct Mikey, I'd say, lots more than lots, could be heaps, or bazillions, even gazillions......vote with your feet.

I'll tell you what I'll do Mikey, if they do that, I'll give you poor buggers my cell no, no, not that cell, my mobile, and you can bet with me, I'll do that for the thousands of disenfranchised Kiwi's done over by a quasi Nazi outfit, driven by stupidity and desperation...there you go....how's that for transparency and commitment?.....#bloggsbet

I see that guy Sharrock last night suggesting closing borders for betting a very real prospect, thoughts on this one.

Wasn't long ago he was talking about all the diverse income streams NZTR had with the various betting agencies paying commissions to them

Was that just a BS line?

He and his cronies would be better to turn their attention of why Kiwis bet offshore than attempting to stop them doing so

Obvious to whom and what are they? To me the risks are obvious but not the benefits.

Watch the interview , Mikeynz is only the messenger here.

I thought the CEO looked very glum and looks like he is under a considerable amount of pressure, not one bit surprised given the legacy of incompetence that has been in these roles for years on end, it must be very difficult (especially with the Bernard hospital pass) even considering the $$$ he and his cohorts are on to portray some sort of positive future for the sport in this country.

Can you or anybody else explain to me why you have to call the betting agency to place a live Sportsbet in Aussie, that seems weird.

The real issue here with closing borders is Aussie betting sites and racing, yet sites like Betway, 10 bet, bet365 based in Europe really just do sport and casino games etc etc, woudnt make any sense blocking them as they mostly of no great issue ,its the racing guys who are wanting change.

Sorry Huey, don't have an hour of my time to waste watching it. Did watch a few segments some time ago but certainly not in the last couple of years. Also, looks like Guerin is fronting it so I doubt any serious questions would have been asked.

Those "green shoots" he talked about must require a microscope to see rather than a magnifying glass. Won't be the last person who gets a job thinking he alone has the ability to turn things around and will - but can't.  Hubris I think they call it.  Same as George at the Warriors.
