Te Akau lined up five hot favourites today and they all got well and truly trounced. Prismatic and Sans Doute at Hawera along with Dynastic, Stella Splendida and Imperatriz at Matamata. You don't see that very often.

And Opie would have opened up a very hot favourite to win the jockeys competition at Matamata with twelve rides and ended up with a win a second and two thirds.

Go figure.

You can't win all the time.  If you could Sheik Mohammed or whatever his name is would have everything and we wouldn't have a racing game.

I imagine TA will be back and good on them when they are

True, but as Aces said five red-hots from one stable all well and truly down the track is quite noteworthy, and they weren't just favs they were red hots, mostly around the $1.80 mark, and pretty much all gone by the turn. I think there were a couple of other favs at Matamata as well.

Handy winners of the two features I thought, might help them retain their status for a little longer.

I wasn't being critical. More pointing out how unusual it was yesterday for them. I am sure they will bounce back.

Sorry neither was I trying to be critical but isn't it typical of the racing game? - the minute you get confident is the minute you get your butt kicked.

Dead set quinella of the year in the minor 3yo race I think, that didn't turn out too well. You are on a thrashing to nothing when you hand out $1.80 shots as certainties. The Aussies are no better of course. I thought that $2 shot in the Toorak was incredibly short.

Caulfield Last 5 races yesterday were a Great Example.

Yes,  the racing show and blokes and broadcasters were patting themslves on the backs yesterday and getting extremely cocky as the 3 near Even money, heavily backed favourites went bang, bang, bang. and they had picked 3 winners in a row !! (doesn't happen often lol )

Paulele, Anamoe then Golden Mile, .... so then were saying their 'all ups' and 'Multis' were looking good with the 'best 2 horses' at even money still to come in the shape of  I Wish i Win and Zapateo. (both unplaced by the expert 'mock' in the last 2 races  )  back to the grindstone lol.
