Well Blackie has got that winning feeling in the CONFESSIONAL on a bright Sunday at church. and been handed the Group 1 ... 2 year old trotter of Paul Nairns for a solid win . picking the number 9 in 4th as well. very sneaky and well played. Paul Nairn with the 3rd placegetter too. showing his mastery of the craft.....

After race 3 TrotsFan has taken full advantage of barrier 2 with the potential champion MILLWOOD NIKE. Could be the next Adore Me and just keep winning and winning.

Blackie wanted the cheque , but is gunna need Paul Nairn to pull another MASTERLY training performance from barrier 9 for him to get in the money here in the Trotters Derby coming Up. TrotsFan expecting Maurice to WIn this and take the lead off Blackie and crush the dream ? 😁

Nz Trotters Derby hits the post as a bit of a 'dogs breakfast'. The 4 favoured runners Double Delight, Highgrove, Hot To Trot and Masterly all having all sorts of trouble keeping their gait. 

with Christmas approaching Jesus of 'NAZARETH' has risen to the challenge for Gammalite to hit the score sheet. Maurice on 'Con Grazia Love' may have gone a bit too quick out in front and left himself no petrol late on.  

not sure who got 4th yet so add that 2 points in later.

Always full of HIGH ENERGY , Brodie trots his way right up behind the leaders and is ready to pounce.

so Michael a strong chance of the race to race double with the Oaks up next and Nat drawn well.

meanwhile the 6 Points for the Big 2nd by the rank outsider TIME UP THE HILL for TrotsFan has seen him trot off into a big lead with 2 races to go. The 2 Alley proving a dream draw for that horse.

It did look to be the 2nd best of the all stars pre race,so given the way the rest of the team has been going today,it all was no surprise..

Top run by true fantasy as well.Should have stopped given it sat parked the whole way on such a fast speed.

Krug the only Big race I remember in the Great Northern Derby last year. 'Bolted' out of control clear of the field on Tony Herlihy,  but still won. 

Ususally the casual rule is "The harder they pull, the faster they Stop" . I never won a race on anything pulling like that ever. They often give up in a stride or 2 if overdoing it for 2 laps like that horse just did in Oaks.

The big day in Nz concludes with BD Joe proving what he could of done at the Interdominion. Aussies are lucky he didn't Turn Up. After a punishing day beating up on Argentina and the West Indies time for a Beer !!!

Good days racing if you are into stable dominated races.

There were some unbelievable runs today by some horses!

You can just wonder how some of these horses are just so much better than the others?

What I do know is that the export market is not going to be stopping anytime soon, and really you can not blame it!

Horses at least can be placed where they are competitive in both Oz and the U.S.A

Yes harness racing has been a great industry for many decades but certainly has its issues now.

Does anyone see things as going well at the moment?

It wasn't a total surprise Gamma. No Matter Wat went a huge race at her previous start, galloping and losing much ground then storming home for third. Her sire A Rocknroll Dance has left some speedy tough horses. Michael Purdon part-owner so he had a good day.
