Very interesting this!

Brodie knew that Cullen would not stay long being an employee at the AllStars stables!

I wonder if he has picked up all the secrets that they use there and take them to the Telfers?

This is going to make the Telfer/ Cullen partnership even stronger.

Interesting that Tim Williams and Cullen have left AllStars and gone to Telfer’s.

I do not believe that Purdon/ Rasmussen will be training in 2 years time!

No wonder it is a great stable when 15 employees can keep a secret and not divulge anything to their spouses or partners.

Would you like a leak from in there Brodie?

Why would I like a leak from the stable Kane?

Doesnt affect me whatsoever now!

Does seem a wee bit puzzling Kane doesnt it?

Talented horsemen having success at the stable and then all of a sudden they are gone??
Blair Orange, Tim Williams, Hayden Cullen and that Canadian fellah!

Greg Payne and Ross Payne  also left fairly quickly as well.
You will be able to throw some light on it surely Kane?

Dont shoot the messenger Kane, it was published on the HRNZ site with no reason for the dissolving of the partnership!

I think you are being a bit unfair my old mate. Greg Payne was with Purdon for some time. I think the likes of Payne and Cullen probably think they have learned all they can and know all the secrets but when they go out alone they find success hard to come by. Cullen won't have that with that stable of course because Mr Stockman obviously has plenty of money. What would happen if his business empire crashed overnight???

Blair Orange left to supposedly start some big training partnership with Ken Barron but that never happened. I wonder why? Tim Williams was with the All Stars for some time too, and he still drives occasionally for the stable. Williams is one of the top drivers around these days and I think you can put that down to the good horses he drove while at All Stars.

It happens with other stables too my old mate. Think, Butt/Anderson. I how many winners has Phillip Anderson trained since he left Premier Stables? All his horses are slow, battlers.

I think you are right that the All Stars as they are now won't be around for too much longer. It must be hard working a big team like they have and Mark is getting on like us my old mate. Millwood Nike should keep the stable name in the spotlight for the next few seasons though.

Think Davis has covered a few of your boys that have moved on. Change as good as a holiday? 😆

Maybe Mr Cullen enjoyed seeing his Triangle colours going around a year back and has aspirations to have a go self.

Affliating with a main rival is unusual , but Hayden was doing a fine job , so perhaps 'thee old cash' has come into play as it often does in big business. Footy players change clubs here and there for various reasons. (mainly money)

AKUTA the best horse in the nation (top 5 anyway) is raced by Cullen Racing Ltd and Mark himself , so wonder what will happen with that ? The up-coming BD Joe v Akuta clashes will be awkward ?

Mate , there is a thing called 'Respect' that I am sure most horsepeople can use when changing location of employment . Can't think of anyone myself , that was blabbing/bad mouthing when moving on (very important). You USUALLY keep the training methods to themselves out of respect , thus keeping 'their's' and 'yours' reputation and honour intact (important ) , and FOND Memories of the their previous stables exploits are kept just that !!! (also important)

Do not want this to turn into a personal matter, and yes the ones that have left have spent a bit of time at the AllStars, before leaving!

Have they all left on good terms, do you think?

I would guess Ross Payne probably left on bad terms but he seems to fall out with all the trainers he has worked for. I think the foreman's job is pretty tedious mate. Probably do all the lackey jobs, jogging horses in wet and cold winter days. Would Cullen even drive fast work? Probably not, Olivia Thornley, Mark and Natalie, Michael Purdon, Jonny Cox... would do that surely?
