And yes I am taking the piss.......the press release on their website says accident at Hawera regarding the ''Clark of the course''......sorry NZTR, thats why we are where we are Petone, your professional levels are in the basement.....FFS.

" Kent of course " , the accident was personal and he had to change his blue daks .

It's actually the least of my worries that they can't spell, use a spell checker or get someone who can to edit their press and news releases, though that would at least give the impression of some professionalism which is hard to see anywhere else in the operation.

I note the masterminds in Jackson St still haven't corrected their 'faux Pas'.........obviously too much fun to be had wrapping Xmas prezzies.......not a conscience amongst them......I hope the Clark is ok all the same. He might have been kicked between the winning post and the back straight....oooh that smarts.

Rest assured they wouldn't know what one was or what they do, can't expect them to spell it.

Amusing topic, and it pisses me off too.

I chide myself for being petty and pedantic, but it isn't really.

An immigrant for whom English is a second language can spell and construct a sentence better than many of us.

Communication via the written word is the effective and specific way we humans can pass on information, that means is denied to other living creatures, and also how we can express emotion in some  beautiful poetry and prose in the written language.

Technology is advancing at an exponential rate but ( IMO ) the dramatic drop off in literacy is a very dangerous precedent.

Actually,  J.B, it's worse than that...the wording was actually ' TOO  the Clark...'

Ffs.

Simple use of spell check would have picked that up.

Correct, and this is where many of racing's participants are largely inadequate, basic grammar and spelling isn't that hard especially when the likes of Google etc. are only a mouse click away.

If more of racing's coal face participants could string a sentence and were half proficient with a puter then forums such as these are an excellent venue to voice one's view... and anonymously.
