Who said that...and were they on class b drugs at the time?

Actually Ecstacy wouldn't be a bad pill to swallow if you want a bit of positivity...

...getting through tight gaps is always easier they say

And the chance of testing positive is almost zilch with the Driver/jockey drug testing...

...which is almost non existent...

...as evidenced by the Ruakaka testing debacle...where they'd never tested before

nek minute 30% were on the juice...after a disaffected employee potted them...so to speak

Brent f in Wall!!!

It can't be true!!  He's got a sweet smile like an angel!!

This is dead set shocking for Harness though

These charges all connect to present and past employees of Mork I plead guilty to blue magic Purdon!

No wonder he kicked Rassa out of the boudoir...she must have been smoking too often...

...and supplying

All Stars all schmars

Shame about old Brent----once doomed to become Mr Brent Allpress but Lisa saw the light  and he would ultimately be corrupted by those dirty Harness thieves !

A raceday manager of one of the countries biggest clubs and also a former jockey agent accused of race fixing???

Couldn't happen could it?

Myself and several others have warned for some time of the dangers of jockey agents and gambling. Potentially far more harmful than a few jockeys or drivers getting together to decide who gets an uncontested lead or the run of the race.

I could never understand a club manager being a jockey agent. An obvious conflict of interest. Particularly when Butch Castles was at Ellerslie. Lets say an overseas trainer planning sending a horse to NZ  inquires from the club which jockey could be available.

A jockey agent is out there talking to trainers getting exclusive information with the ability to change the specifics of a race. A major put off to punters who feel disadvantaged.

Old Bent?

Hey I'm wayyy older so what does that make moi you dee wharf?

More shocking stunning breaking Baking Drug use in Mainland mayhemville...

Two more prominent Gladiator trainers charged with recreational drug use...

..and pocessetion of a STUN GUN

This is bigger than Ben Hur...next they'll be charged with inserting wee knives into their wheels

...no wonder some of these boys and girls look ecstatic post race though

But it also begs the question on Jewels day

wtf did the stable hands get their juice from??

In the tack room hidden under the Bubble cheekers?

I believe  Tom Bagrie  is the dunn boys  cousin,.      I liveiin australia  and  everyone i chat with is talking about all this, all saying NZ racing is a bigger joke then Queenslands, which is very hard to believe. It will all come out in the wash ,the truth that is  so not a lot of point of procastrinating over all this to we find out the results in court.

No amount of asset grabbing, tiered racing, outsourcing or increases in prize money can fix this in the short term, even if they do find a way to fix all the stuffed tracks. I can hear the rumble of stakeholders deserting by the minute.

Yeah pretty fair comment Curious.  This bad publicity on top of the Peters/Messara thing - maybe it is just time to pack up the swag and move on down the road.  Watch Winx, the Everest and the Melbourne cup, maybe the highlights of Cup Week and the Derby but the downsides seem to be outweighing the up.

I agree , I never thought I'd feel this way (betrayed if you like ) by the industry but I'm also questioning my involvement , should this proceed or not ,you just can't trust those running the sport thats being shown to be true ,or a lot of those in the sport having revealed their true colours.

Huey I saw your comments on that on the dark side(but don't post there any more).  It is pretty disheartening isn't it?  Great game great people great history being destroyed for a theoretical bunch of '18-44 year olds' who are totally fickle with a five second attention span and who will drop it like a hot spud if the mood takes them.

Yes I must admit to feeling the same. I was looking at the calendar last night realised we have booked an overseas trip when Karaka Million is on (never missed it before) & thought oh well who cares, unlikely to go to Karaka sales this year either.

The debarcle that is Te Rapa has made me think that I really now have lost interest in that place & probably wont renew membership, I am off to Te Aroha on Sunday & I am hoping they honour the fact that it was supposed to be at Te Rapa where I don't get charged to get in.

The harness thieves, well I honestly couldn't give a fark if they all end up inside for years, the public's view of racing was low before and now its hit a new one.

Its terribly hard to get enthused that's for sure.

I am hoping the winners come today at Pukekura. Look in all honesty I will be one of the last in the stand of the last race course in NZ. The joy of attending and the smell of the horses in the parade ring cannot be replicated in my lounge. I am attending Awapuni Saturday week and looking forward to that as well.

Not to mention Jockey Agents that are tipping horses on preview shows, that just screams conflict of interest , I've never understood why they have allowed that, well I do cause those who run it aren't punters, breeders or owners so don't understand a thing!

Lol  I've tried a few times that walking away bit!!!! ?

Some how I keep getting hooked back in  usually via someone needing a helping hand for some bullshit that they have run into with a club or a trainer or officialdom!

My deep dislike of bullies can be a weakness! especially when it's coming from those in Power!

I think what make is so hard to walk is how if one has spent 10,000+  hours of thinking about, participating etc. in  things horsing racing then there has been some serious hard wiring going on in the brain! deeply into our consciousness!!!

Simple put we are doomed! "dammed if we do! dammed if we don't!" ?
