Here it is . One of the big races of the year. Only 250k (should be 500k but times are tough)

Unfortunately the Dalgety Duo drawn out ar 7 and 8 starting positions .

Carters an amateur compared to orange. If I was the owner I'd insist on the best.

Captain Ravishing will bolt in. I am expecting something big from this horse in the next few starts.

This bloke is pretty good alright. (Melton track record holder ravished already lol )

might throw out a 1.48- 1.49 'King of Swing' type big mile 🏆 I'm thinking.

Old mate Grant can park on his back with the Qld er and run 2nd maybe 🤞. Tims A Trooper . the best Queenslander not quite ready yet in Leap To Fame who beat Captain Ravishing in the Vic Derby last year. there'll be some beaut clashes.

Can the Dalgety horses get the placings ?

Almost physically impossible to beat Captain Ravishing unless he gets crossed at the start. Maholmes does have speed off the gate but not sure he can cross. I think Captain Ravishing has a 1:46 -1:47 in him based on his sectionals.

Look mate the horse is something special. I've seen plenty of good ones but what he showed last start. He jogged it, looked to be in first gear with plenty of gears to go. Heza Sun Of Agun, is a top horse that would be competitive anywhere, he couldn't keep up.

I think this horse will break the Australasian mile record when he wins the Miracle. I know it is a hard race to win, but this fellow will do it. Currently, the Australiasian record is held by the arsenic tonic fuelled My Field Marshal, trained by ex Kiwi, Mr Timothy Butt, when he won the miracle mile in 2018(?) in 1:47.9.

Captain Ravishing will win the Miracle Mile in 1:47.2 or faster. Think about it. He's a stallion, best son on boom sire Captain Treacherous so his stud career is assured in the U.S. too. The horse could earn over $2m this season in the next few starts.

The Miracle Mile is one of the hardest races in Australasia to win but I think Captain Ravishing will do it.

He'll be too short to back so just glory in watching a freak in action. I can't wait...

Well, well, well,Horses (& Greyhounds) can make fools of us all.

On the back of a super freshup Win,Captain Ravishing was sent out red hot fav @ $1.15,led unchallenged, and got easily headed in run to line by horse mainly sitting parked.

Looks like Mark Pitt went so quick in front, with opening quarter 26seconds,that 'The Captain' had no sting in his finish.

Still,on this occasion, all honours with Gath Runner Catch A Wave.

A fantastic 'Captain Treacherous' quinella in fast 1.49 mile. The surprise one taking the choc's though.

Absolutely agree>>>  Mark Pitt went too quick for his horse. needed to steady 2nd or 3rd quarter just a little after having burned out of the 1 gate in 26 seconds to lead. (a regular 1.51 mile would of seen him get in ok.)

What a great drive by Kate Gath !!! dropped onto the Ravishing horse's back with Catch A Wave for 200m when he slipped the rest of the field , then angled out to grind him down. excellent stuff.

Yes, it was a great effort by Catch A Wave, they dealt to the rest of the field a long way from home.

I'm not making excuses but I think it wasn't the smartest drive from young Pitt. I don't know why he took off so early when he appeared to have them all covered? I guess they were trying to make some sort of statement but it backfired! I think if he had waited until the home stretch and said go the result would be different. I think Captain Ravishing knocked off in the last 100m and Pitt tried to get him going again but momentum lost.

Yes, when they are going 1:49 rate not many can keep up.

This week the Dalgety's have Krug involved. Drawn the very outside. Race 5 at Menangle. Will be hard from out there to get any of it.

Republican Party in Race 1 Menangle has a tough field this week again too. worth considering is the dog of a horse in this photo below who is also in Race 1.

'Our Money Rocks' (about 20-1 odds ) seen here in photo from last week in the home straight (far left)  hanging in that bad as refusing to come off the horses back in front of him. Hanging like Ned Kelly as they say lol.

And then it  still Won the race after being still last 150m out !!!!!!

I have backed Interdom champ I Cast No Shadow at great odds, again, $13/3.50! I have won plenty off the horse, in his last few starts so stick with him Gamma. Young Trainer will put him in the race at some stage. I'm confident...

Did you watch Tim Williams brain explosion in the oaks.56 lead time for the first 800 in a 2400 race.then the team driving in the big mares race team Grimson jack trainer.what sadly has become obvious kiwis cannot compete against the convicts anymore the Ozzie's Pacers are better and drivers.the kiwi drivers ain't driving the tracks well.brad Williamson showed again tonight he ain't a very good driver.luke McCarthy twice well and truly beating Carter dalgety.hows this one for throwing away money backing m ranger on a first starter at Cambridge today trained by Shane butcher from outside gate.it would have to be a champion to win and if it is she still could get it beat lol

All good Forb's . The winning Trainer 'Trainor ' is a kiwi lad. And the first 2 horses are owned in Nz. New-Zealand getting a BIG Cut of the Pie as usual.

Braeview Kelly nice 109k prizemoney pickup in this Group 1 last night.

9 wins and 3 placings from 12 starts Menangle to date. Quite incredible compared to her Nz form prior.
