aquaman
Hosking is a self absorbed dick that loves himself. How anybody can listen to him beats me.

billy connolly
NZ jockeys have always held their own in Australia and IMO they are better riders than their Australian counterparts on a per capita basis. Outside the main metropolitan tracks Australian jockeys are very poor and even many of their city jockeys lack judgement and patience. As always, the pen is mightier than the sword and it's the half-baked Australian media who have (wrongfully) portrayed NZ jockeys as inferior. So where would you rank collectively the Jockeys for a Premier Saturday Open race at Riccarton vs an Aussie venue? Certainly not metro surely. billy connolly
I'm referring to our best jockeys past and present, not the majority of John Wayne's going around here at the moment.

The only thing that would have stopped Legarto is' a good judge' picking her b4 the..race was run!😃

A lesser jockey could easily have been tempted to drag the horse sideways for a clear run at them and lost a lot of ground. As it was, he just waited for a gap and luckily it came.

A sire doing a very good job , I'm surprised they didn't sell better. Some exciting times ahead at stud for him.
