How come the TAB can get away with all this bullshit gender discrimination. The woke basta#ds seem to think its ok to boost women's sport and female jockeys in the name of wokisim. Imagine if they only boosted men's sport or men jockeys, the outcry would be huge. I for one do not like it. I think its insulting to men, and is blatant discrimination.

H'mm its a tricky one. Maybe 20 years ago no problem with the promotion. But its like most causes the activists don't know when to stop. As a result the pendulum swings the other way. e.g the anti semitism activism, Maori activism, anti Russian activism. Its a case of knowing when to stop.

So Trackside are activists because they promote women in racing? I notice that once again you show your Maori Hater bias.

Only you could come out with an answer like that.

Perhaps someone could explain to me what this is all about?

I'm always very impressed when I see some of the very well spoken female trainers and jockeys on trackside and I often think we should make much more use of them to promote the industry.

I've been very critical of the TAB in the past and they've done some silly things , but this is far and away the most stupid thing I've ever seen from a betting agency!

Its about gender discrimination perpetuated and practiced by the TAB.

I have to admit I haven't watched much Trackside in weeks but, I think if women want to ride against men they should be known as jockeys and not given any preferential treatment.  They all get paid the same fee.

I've got no idea if that is what they are talking about. They are obviously promoting female racing people somehow but I know nothing about it. Perhaps someone could explain what is going on that has upset people.

Why are you really even worrier about this? Bigger things to worry about than promoting the women I the sport I would have thought. I thought it was good them offering free bets if a female rider runs 2nd,3rd or 4th.  Would you complain if on St Paddy's day they have a similar promotion for the Irish riders or trainers that are part if our industry.

🤦‍♂️

To be honest I find it all embarrassing .

In Fact what the Racing Industry should be shouting from the Rooftops is how women jockeys are paid exactly the same as their male counterparts.

Years ahead of Tennis and Golf and Rugby and League and Soccer !!!

If you have ever braved a full game of the Phoenix Women you'd wonder why they get paid at all, let alone pay equity with the men.

The NZ women's football team are going to be an embarrassment at the World Cup to be co-hosted here.

I must confess I haven't seen the 'offending' material either.

However, in a field where women not only compete on equal terms, but excel on their own merits, it is not necessary whatsoever.  Insulting in fact, NOT to men, but to the girls who just crack on with the job and beat the guys regularly.

Apparently [ I was just told ] it was International Women's Day on Wednesday.  I didn't know that..or if I did, it didn't touch base.

What dumb ideas the TAB are coming up with.

The next Black Friday might be interesting.

Yeah that may be next, black trainers and jockeys have their odds boosted. The useless tossers should stick to gambling and stop playing politics.

What a storm in a teacup.

The promotion was for one day only to acknowledge International Women's Day. It was all over the media.

What a sad lot moaning and bitching about that. 9_9

Hang your heads in shame!

I agree...but what pisses many off is the money wasted on fluff when they are steering racing into an iceberg.

Wrong, they are still boosting sheila's sport, look at their website. There should not be a Womens day unless there is a Mens day full stop.

And what about a Tran's day, they will have to have one of them as well. Just think, the TAB could then boost queer Jockey's and Trainers, so how about it TAB, boost the Ladies one week, the Men the following week, then the Trans after that.

And then my favourite - Non Binary Week
