  1. I see DC I pitching around the $230k mark. That could be the value sweet spot this sale.
  2. Yep some top liners there last night who would be competitive in OZ Group racing. I thought Legarto wasn't well ridden again. Shame Master Fay was lame after the race.
  3. Geez you are predictable. Same old pattern. You're becoming more boring and irrelevant. Meanwhile the new Government keeps pressing on. Got your protest marching boots polished?
  4. No it's a fact. On turnover of $9.5 you'd clear about $1.2m to $1.4m on an average yield. I doubt the yield would be higher although they BGP certainly help. The revenue generated for the day is unlikely to have covered Stakes let alone cost of sales. So it has to be subsidised from somewhere else. That's fine I guess but is it sustainable? Do we keep selling silver to pay the way?
  5. So you don't have an original thought? How long did it take you to Google that opinion?
  6. The issue was the slipping and shifty track. Did you read the extracts from the Stipes report? They were close to abandoning the meeting. Isn't that concerning? They abandoned Trentham for arguably less on the same day. As for any bias I have an open mind on it. I think the "nothing finished on from midfield" or "you need to be handy on the pace" is not because of the track. If you are slow away and the best horses in the field are half the field in front of you then you are not going win.
  7. Will do. Thanks. Just engrossed in watching the entertaining Sales live.
  8. Partly. The majority of Stakes for the day comes from TAB revenue. You have a lot to say so I mistaknlenly thought you'd be across that. But please don't divert to negative issues.
  9. Where the hell is the bitterness in my post? I just posted facts.
  10. Once again you obfuscate the debate by coming up with a counterfactual that's totally irrelevant. What's defending the high seas got to do with getting rid of a terrorist murdering bunch of of religious zealots? You are a Green supporter aren't you? Or are you Chloe in drag
  11. Really? How? Give us all one reason to trust Putin or Xi Jinping? Let one Iran! As for the USA it wasn't long ago you were telling us they have no power or influence. Make your mind up. It's like arguing with a schizophrenic! Try living in India, Russia or China. Actually please do.
  12. Lot 55 - Zoustar colt. Jamie Richards and David Ellis went head to head. Went to Richards for $725,000. I'd say experience had set a price. https://www.nzb.co.nz/sales/24kaa/55
  13. The drama, the passion, the excitement... Better than watching a SOAP any day.

  15. Describing yourself. Meanwhile more slogans and ideology. No substance and a distinct reluctance to explain how BRICS is any good for the world. We await.
  16. Entain turned over $9.5m yesterday which pays the stake for one race. Good news for all the enthusiasts is it will be a 2 day carnival next year. Entain may even have a horse running as they intend to spend $1.5m at the Karaka sales.
  17. That's not true. My observation is they win from all positions but you need to get moving to be handy before turning for home. The straight is the shortest in Australasia. But the shape and camber plus surface allows you to improve. As for yesterday let's look at the sectionals first.
  18. This is the old layout. Would be great to overlay the "new" layout. They don't seem to have done much to bend out of the home straight. Still tight and up hill (might be wrong) so will be the same kamikaze race for positions 2000m and above. The home bend is long with a sharp turn in and still downhill which isn't conducive to improving your position before the straight. Horses seem to become unbalanced on the bend regardless of the track. Although I would have thought the new surface would have helped - perhaps the jocks are still riding on memory.
  19. So how does that excuse your hypocrisy? You've just agreed with what I posted. You are only pro-BRICS because you are anti-Western Alliances. To the point where you'd rather align with dictators, despots and the corrupt. Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Ethiopia, Egypt, Iran and the UAE. Do you have ANY principles?
  20. I'm asking you to justify your BRICS slogan!!!! Typical tactic by you when you can't. You dream up a counterfactual and ask everyone else to justify it. Let's face it you are superficial and a hypocrite. You promote BRICS only because it is anti all Western Alliances.
  21. Hardly! Whereas you throw out slogans that have no substance! Tell us why the BRICS is THE group to belong to? None of the countries in it have a civil/human rights record that you supposedly aspire to and are riddled with government and corporate corruption.
  22. That's why I like Moonee Valley - with that camber the entire field can start bunching from the school to the final bend and sling hook for home. They've never been able to do that at Ellerslie. Shame that instead of selling all the silver they used some of that land to reshape the course.
  23. Again you need to see the sectionals. If the top horses are going fast evenly through the race then of course the winner comes from those that are on the pace. Probably the reason Gai Waterhouse is doing so well at moment - all her horses are trained to get out quick and fast and sit on the pace. The other scenario where on the pace works is when they walk for the first half of the race and sprint home. I think there were a couple of races like that yesterday. Add into the mix Jockeys ability to read pace and do something about it if it doesn't suit their charge. Too many Jockeys get too scientific about what suits their horse and don't adapt to the conditions or the actual race pace.
