  1. It hasn't undone anything for me. In my mind he is still an incredible horseman - an all time equestrian and Olympic great. He can train racehorses too.
  2. That's bullshit. As I said in my first post the video was first posted on Social Media in 2019 - coincidentally the same year has Todd got a BHA license to train. Apparently the video was taken some time before 2019 - the latest news report says it is years old. Why the sudden re-emergence? What's more why the concerted notification of all the news outlets in unison? A lone horse lover? Yeah na.
  3. So you've never ever done anything in training a horse that would be considered unacceptable to the Anti-Racing mob? Putting aside that they think you shouldn't exist full stop.
  4. You miss the point @nomates - the Anti-Racing mob don't consider ANY horse racing as acceptable. If you can honestly say that you have never ever whipped a horse or even used a twitch in your entire training career then I'm sorry I don't believe you.
  5. You have no idea what my "level" is. But why did you post this crap in the first place? Why give it air time?
  6. That statement indicates you are grinding yourself down with dogma and ideology that you don't really understand. Not all Fascists are white.
  7. What it has to do with British Horseracing Association (BHA) escapes me. It is obvious the horse isn't a racehorse in training and it was taken BEFORE Todd became licensed to race horse. The latest news says it was years before he became licensed.
  8. See it for what it is - a beat up by the Anti-Racing mob using a years old video. If you want to enable that activity and give it air time then go for it. I'm sure both you and Joe Bloggs have done activity in the past while training that would be ammunition for the Anti-Racing Mob.
  9. No that wasn't the reason for the increase in return.
  10. Yet returns were up 22% last year.
  11. As I said in an earlier post which you ignored. For the year ended 31 July 2021 a profit of $642k was returned from Racing.
  12. Arguably the Queensland State Government has been slower to the party than VIC and NSW. Investment Plan to grow Queensland racing Published Thursday, 29 July, 2021 at 09:00 AM Minister for Education, Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Racing The Honourable Grace Grace Jobs in Queensland’s racing are set to receive more support with Racing Queensland set to raise prize money across Thoroughbred, Greyhound, and Harness racing and increase funding for critical assets. Racing Minister Grace Grace today released Racing Queensland’s Investment Growth Plan, which outlines the investment of $28.9 million in funding over the next two years, made possible through the Palaszczuk Government’s Budget commitment of an anticipated $41.3 million to Queensland racing through the Point of Consumption Tax (POCT). “The Investment Plan will benefit almost 40,000 Queensland participants,” the Minister said. “It will be delivered through increased prize money from 1 September 2021, along with infrastructure grants and improved club funding and allow us to support more jobs as part of Queensland’s plan for economic recovery from COVID-19. An increase of $4 million in grassroots thoroughbred racing will see a rise of $2,000 for every maiden race at TAB meetings and a rise in minimum prize money to $8,500 for all non-TAB races. There is also an increase of $1.7 million in grassroots Greyhound prize money and nearly $1 million for Harness racing. The Plan also supports the infrastructure requirements of the industry, with $5 million across the next two years going towards replacing critical racing assets and a more than $3 million per annum increase for club operations. Racing Queensland Chairman Steve Wilson AM said the multi-million dollar investment supported the organisation’s strategic objective to ensure a more sustainable future for the industry. “It is important that we provide all participants with the confidence to continue to work and invest within the Queensland racing industry,” he said. “As a result, we are providing strategic funding for our three codes, with a strong emphasis on commercial competitiveness at the grass roots and making Queensland attractive for all participants. “We continue to drive our substantial industry to grow across the whole state to our goal of connecting Queenslanders through great racing and events. Prior to COVID, racing was the number one community event in 62 towns and cities across the Sunshine State.” Racing Queensland CEO Brendan Parnell said the investments were being staged across two financial years, having experienced revenue pressures due to the conclusion of the Queensland TAB minimum payment guarantee last December. “We want to give Queensland participants the confidence to invest longer term in our racing and breeding industries as we strive to be more competitive with other jurisdictions,” he said. 13. The tracks are worse. Is Queensland really doing all that badly? Hell if you compare the following Stakes to NZ I know where I'd rather be racing a horse! Non-TAB maidens in the bush are worth $8,500. $14,000 for country maidens! A minimum of $20k for maidens everywhere else! The Queensland thoroughbred industry is set to prosper from a $5.5 million prize money increase. From January 1, 2022, Racing Queensland will deliver increases across provincial, regional and country racing, along with black-type races. As a part of the announcement, South East Queensland Provincial showcase races (52 per year) will soon double to $50,000, with all provincial maiden races at Ipswich, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast increasing by $2,000 to $26,000, and non-maidens to $24,000. Provincial meetings at Beaudesert, Kilcoy, Warwick, Gatton and Dalby will also receive a $2,000 boost, racing for $19,000 in the New Year. Toowoomba races will also receive a $1,500 uplift, with maidens soon to be worth $23,500 and all other races set at $21,500. In Central and North Queensland, maidens will increase from $20,500 to $22,000, while non-maiden races will increase by the same amount to $20,000. Support races conducted on feature meeting days in the region will also be run for $30,000, up from $25,000. Across the state, more than 100 country TAB races will receive a $2,000 uplift, rising to $14,000. “With almost 40,000 participants across the state, it’s imperative that we provide them with the ongoing support – and confidence – to continue to work and invest within the Queensland racing industry,” Racing Queensland Chairman Steve Wilson AM said. “Having grown annual returns to a record-high of $271 million in FY21, a year-on-year increase of 22%, we continue to set aggressive targets for the benefit of the industry as a whole. “As part of the funding announcement, provincial, regional and country racing will be supported.” In addition to the grass roots prize money, $500,000 in black-type upgrades will be delivered with RQ set to unveil its Winter Carnival features next week.
  14. Using that logic all fascists and communists voted for Biden.
  15. Set up a separate Topic on this if you want to. If you want to enable the anti-racing brigade fine but don't hijack this thread. As for the video being 2 years old - it seems it could be even older - the latest report I heard was it is a "few years old". So why does it suddenly re-emerge on social media now? I'll tell you why, it is a beat up by the anti-racing brigade who now know one of the greatest Olympic horseman ever is now a licensed race horse trainer in the UK.
  16. Possibly is. How do you know that the person cashing in the voucher didn't pay face value plus 10% for it? How is it control? No bank hands over $1,000 without identification. The issue you have is that it eliminates another option of getting around your betting restrictions.
  17. Wouldn't be necessary his disqualification ends in August (unless it was extended for some reason). Don't see any reason why he wouldn't be allowed to recommence his career.
  18. Right about what exactly?
  19. Cuts both ways though. If the IRD asks where the $5k come from that you deposited in your account you can say you won it and here's the proof. The joys of selling sleepers for cash!
  20. It's not about the $2 it's about the $1,000.
  21. Why would I know? But isn't the answer obvious? You are aggregating and going over the limit. As I said you are aggregating two vouchers that takes you over the limit. They don't know who the vouchers belong to. You could be doing what they used to do in the old days when laundering money through the TAB. You are laundering money for someone else for a fee.
