How many horses became sick? How many died? Whose horses? You seem to be conflating the evidence and spreading it wider than is actually the case. There is also a large flaw in your argument - as I repeatedly keep pointing out to you - the FED's had samples in their possession and the only drugs mentioned in the indictments are Clenbuterol (mislabelled) and the Sheep Placeta snake oil - PGF-1000.

If NZ Harness bans whips and makes the whip and reins rules more ludicrous BEFORE any other major jurisdiction punters will leave in droves. The Anti-Racing mob minority will have achieved their objective - to end racing fullstop.

Not only is the fine overkill but the suspension for four months is way over the top. It is part of the "to maintain our social license we have to be better than anyone else and punish people more than the rest of society does." We've seen cases where a license holder has been punished in the civil or criminal courts for matters unrelated to racing and then the RIB/RIU administers a far greater punishment. For example a license holder gets discharged without conviction in the District Court but the RIB disqualifies that person for 6 months and gives them a fine and then the code refuses to renew the license of that person. Does racing really need to take a holier than thou attitude? Meanwhile the RIB does nothing to address the issues within its own organisation. How can a member of the judiciary post attacks on trainers anonymously online?

Perhaps they can slap their horses with the reins.

Probabeel had drawn the fifth-most votes but the multiple Group 1 winner’s withdrawal, minutes before Racing Victoria unveiled the top-10, led to the promotion of horses ranked behind the Kiwi mare. Trainer Jamie Richards and owners Brendan and Jo Lindsay decided to retire the glamour mare after vets found she had a suspensory ligament injury. Probabeel won 13 of her 29 starts. The five-year-old resumed with a determined win under 60kg in last Saturday’s Geoffrey Bellmaine Stakes at Caulfield in what turned out to be her last race. Picture: Getty Images The daughter of Savabeel notched her maiden Group 1 win in the 2020 Surround Stakes (1400m) at Randwick before she won the Epsom Handicap (1600m) later that year. Probabeel’s last two Group 1 wins were in Melbourne. She claimed last year’s Futurity Stakes (1400m) in the autumn before winning the Might And Power (2000m) at Caulfield. Probabeel’s Group 1 record could be even better with any luck as she was narrowly beaten in the 2020 Vinery Stud Stakes at Rosehill and last year’s Queen Of The Turf at Randwick. The Lindsays, who operate the famous NZ breeding operation Cambridge Stud, will decide on her first stud mating over the next few months.
