Some of this popularity problem can be attributed to the end of the 5 day week and the intrusion of school sports on a Saturday eg Most 1st 15 games start at 11 am.Game ends 1230 arrive home 14oo hrs.Saturday gone. What we are lacking is a lead moderator who is not afraid to stoke the fire when it needs to be.Unfortunately in the small racing community like NZ everybody seems to have a connection with somebody or something that needs to be criticised so we are hamstrung.
