I agree with you Tommy, BUT, David Walker is different to Weir, animal welfare with Weir, re the jiggers, David should be given a second chance, we all should get a second chance in life, we are humans after all, but not when animal welfare has been breached.....Weir is a recidivist his record appalling and yet the Press still refer to the man as a Champion Trainer........fools and sycophants that they are.....IMO.

Mark, I know you guys don't have a gambling culture like we do over here, TABCORP released a statement on Friday evening in support of the stewards, scratching Weir's horses. You couldn't have horses running with supposition that one, several or all of them were "treated" earlier in the day....and that's what the Public perception may have been. TABCORP needed to take "may have" out of the equation. In addition, we know in NZ it plays a minor part, if any, however the issue of animal welfare has suddenly dawned on racing administration that it or lack of, could be the issue that will bring down the entire industry. The fact DW or JM would not answer questions regarding a photo is damning in itself and the rules of racing here are clear. If you refuse a stewards directive, you are at risk of being stood down, then charged and that is exactly what has happened.

Here's a new Thread, I start it in support/defence of a very decent, respected and knowledgable horse person. Dr Herriott on the other channel has attacked viciously our beloved Freda, now I'm sure Freda can fight her own corner, however I would just like to say, we sent Freda two lovely fillies to train, Freda went above and beyond with them and turned them out in magnificent order. They both displayed impeccable barrier manners, one filly will come to Oz to race after being unbeaten in three Rangiora trials, she is not suited to racing in NZ as she hates wet tracks and is a short course individual. We can't thank Freda enough, we feel so sad that the Dr on the other side saw fit to attack a woman who posts such common sense and with an educated opinion such as hers should be lauded. No doubt should Freda seek Legal recourse there will be substantial repercussions for the author of that attack and accusation.......of course his offsider will take the offensive post down. however the damage is done and some will have screen shots..... Nah Mark, you are usually on the button mate, however VIC and NZ are different planets.......the old VIC was a joke, a boys club, I lived and breathed it in the 80's, they had a white line in the members at Flemington, no Shielas were to cross it......it was a shameful and closeted place.......The VRC ran everything, should you cross them? ......nowadays they are ever so different, yep, they got the cobalt prosecution wrong and it showed, they learned from that......NZ is a disgrace, the RIU ever so.......completely out of their depth, and some of them can't even read a race.......we are very close to it, one day our story will come out.........I'll go to my grave making sure of that...we are sick to death [literally] of the lies and deceit.......but that's a whole different story.
