  1. I give up. You just don't get it do you. Last question, do you like Lachie Marshall as a commentator?
  2. You will work it out one day. Who is Hunter the Punter on Racecafe? Ask the moron who uses that name whether they have an obesession. See, people like you only see things they want to. A very smilar trait to FTM. I have no time for it.
  3. You have to wonder don't you. Unfortunately could have the biggest consequences if it isn't sorted.
  4. The streak continues. Just. Looked a bit lost in the trail! Wins in fast time against some good horses. Unless you are Winx or Brodie, no one wins all the time so to win by a nose is pretty cool. Fun times.
  5. I could also ask which will finish first? INCA or the ATC housing development.
  6. In a tight race for the most inept body in NZ by the sounds of it. ATC in a 40 million dollar hole. Which one will win the race to bankruptcy first? Just putting it out there.
  7. Ask FTM or JJF about ACS and the AS. All for one and one for all.
  8. The list is long and getting longer.
  9. So the horse, described by Mick Guerin as a 'superstar' in his NZ Herald article is gone for the year. Well, just give him some ACS and he will be back for the Cup with a Lazarus like recovery. If Turn It Up is a superstar it just shows how sad the game is when a horse who has no public interest behind it is being described this way. Very good horse? For sure, but a superstar? You have got to be kidding. The most depressing line from the article is this 'His withdrawal still leaves the All Stars with the two NZ favourites in Miracle Mile winner Spankem and defending Cup champion The fixer' The boredom continues.
  10. So the thoroughbreds are finished at Waimate and not to be seen again. Will the trots still continue for their 2 meetings a year? Seems crazy if they do.
  11. Not many of these videos are around which is a shame and it makes you forget some of the good races. Bionic Chance was a great filly and to do what she did against the boys is rarely seen these days. Even more rare is to have a trainer of a top horse who was a one horse wonder. Am I correct in saying that? APOLOGIES for the quality but it is what is. If you are a follower from way back the quality won't matter as just hearing the names is good enough. The video buffers a lot upon uploading which is a shame. I should have tried one of the smaller files of a race first. Oh well. VID_20190609_173428.mp4
  12. Unless the Brodster was tote staff behind the machine putting my $10, 5% first four betslip through ....with a lightning flick of a pen he would mark in the the horses I missed...when I won, I would be thinking I had somehow marked the wrong horses (again) but this time I won...miracle Like a punting angel that Brodie...?
  13. See these whip rules are now in use at the Buffalo Raceway. Are they better than our 10 whip rule or is someone going to tell me we have these rules already...
  14. He did pretty well and finished 6th with a couple of wins. Sure he will have got better with the trip like a good horse ? Just thought it should be acknowledged.

  15. Seems like people enjoyed punting on the day. Good for harness. Near record turnover for Jewels 6 June 2019 by Michael Guerin The first Jewels held at Addington has overcome the worst weather in the meeting’s history to boast near record turnover. And the numbers have left bedraggled harness racing administrators beaming. Saturday’s nine group-one meeting looked in danger of being postponed just hours before the first race as Canterbury was lashed by extreme weather and a giant puddle formed inside the track threatening to encroach on the racing surface at the 1000m mark. But with the drains working overtime and the recently re-surfaced track overseen by John Denton, the meeting not only went ahead but provided fair racing. And while the weather impacted the walk-up crowd, the betting figures have been surprisingly positive considering the conditions and the large number of odds-on favourites, which can often be off-putting for punters from the two other codes. The combined on and off-course domestic turnover was $2,547,222, of which $974,816 was fixed odds. That is already the third highest amount ever invested domestically on a Harness Jewels meeting and with the Australian turnover expected to come in around $750,000 the meeting should have Australasia-wide turnover close to $3.5million, without counting money bet with corporate bookmakers. That will mean the meeting has the second highest Australasian turnover in the Jewels’s 13-year history with the only higher one coming when the Queensland Oaks meeting at Eagle Farm and several other Australian fixtures were abandoned in 2016, creating record figures for the Cambridge-run Jewels that season. “We couldn’t be happier,” says HRNZ’s Darrin Williams. “Sure the weather was brutal but the betting figures make up for that. “I really feel for Addington because they put their heart and soul into the day and did a super job and the weather was against them. “But they already had a good crowd and the only under-utilised area they had was the marquee on top of the stables which would have been great but for the weather, which nobody could control. “So the results are very pleasing, especially the way the track responded. That is a real credit to John Denton and his staff.” Had Saturday’s meeting being held at Ashburton, who did a great job with their first six running of the Jewels, the weather would have had a far more dire impact. Next year’s Jewels return to Cambridge in the annual inter-island rotation with the Waikato track to host a two-day meeting, racing the Friday night before the Jewels on the Saturday.
  16. Between the 500m to 400m mark, it looked like he had the afterburners on he was going that fast. 55.8 for the last quarter but he was moving the fastest between the aforementioned distance. Real Deal? Think so. Silly drive whatever was intended.
  17. Good to hear globe. I will ignore owners, trainers and industry participants next time they complain about costs, training fees, stakes, the judicial system, track closures and the Messara Report. You are right, no one is really listening.
  18. Same age as Brodie.
  19. It would have won if we were racing at Rangiora.... 15s the place Richie! Not sure how quickly it dropped. I wasn't responsible for backing it in but the odds of 61s and 15s were enticing.
  20. Obviously not resting just yet. I think this is his first stand and off 30m. Interesting.
  21. So there is nothing in the stewards report about the reason given for the first false start in the Race 2 yesterday. Why isn't the reason 'general disorganisation' stated? I doubt anyone will be able to tell me what the definition of 'general disorganisation' is? Especially when we have a few breakers in the next mobile trot I watch. Why isn't Rastusburn being made to go out and around One Majic Kenny mentioned in the report for the second attempt? I believe One Majic Kenny should have been booted from the race and there should have been attempt number 3 made so Rastusburn had a fair start but that would just be too hard and embarrassing wouldn't it. The stipes look after themselves and they are cunning distributors of information....as sometimes leaving out information is just as telling as putting it in. I can understand why punters get put off the game when this happens.

  22. He sired one champion then gave up because he realised that he couldn't improve on what he had just created.
  23. I heard the mares served by Smooth Fella said artificial insemination was the way to go...true or false??
  24. Probably the brightest thing I have said all day.
