  1. Their days at the top are numbered.
  2. it is just the same old same old. Different day same comments. Both him and O'Connor are drones. Same for Mark Purdon when he speaks. I would rather listen to the combo of Teaz and Davey McDonald as they are natural and are not scripted. I say that seriously too. Those two with the Whale would be great.
  3. The pecking order in the trotting ranks is changing. The new boys on the block are starting to usurp the established ones.
  4. I should really be concentrating on the racing at Auckland but if I hear Mick Guerin say 'marker pegs' one more time I will vomit.
  5. Another instalment tomorrow. Should be good to watch.
  6. I can fully understand the lack of judgement defence but you are right when you compare it to the whip rule. Is hitting a wheel a lack of judgement too? I suppose the stipes are making allowances for a junior driver but that forgiveness is rarely seen for amateurs. If one of the amateur boys or girls had done this they would have got 6 months. She should have been suspended, lack of judgement or not, for a couple of weeks for the sheer need to keep some integrity in the game.
  7. and me losing money.
  8. Sounds like the whole stable needs supplements so they can maintain their high standards.
  9. Well, somebody at the end of all of it is going to look bloody silly. I will bet on that.
  10. You are very knowledgeable about punting.
  11. They = Police?
  12. hanging out in those sand dunes on a chilly day can do that.....
  13. Don't panic. Forbury winter racing soon ❤️ Punter's paradise ?
  14. Only fitting CP finishes off the grass track season in style. Unlike the BGP plunge which fizzled as much as Adam Patron did lol
  15. Good for those who backed it. But one can't complain when you are not part of the 'in crowd' who are onto it in other betting cases, no matter the odds. It is all part of racing whether you like it or not.
  16. Today at the Mot. Change is Good: Money was on but got nutted for reasons you outline in another thread. I take notice of early movements but don't usually jump on board. Adam Patron: Didn't move initially but ended up at 7s, in from 12s, all due to the O'Connor talking him in - I never get scared of these movements created by presenters. Givmewhatineed: 3.10 into 2.70. Without looking into this horse's form it seems everyone is already onto it. Especially off the UR over 2000m. I don't go near these types of movements. Leading The Way: 51s to 13s all because of one betting syndicate. Leave me out of that type of movement too. The question is do the syndicate have inside knowledge or is it just a bet on their judgement? Each to their own but you don't often hear plunge bets being mentioned in NZ harness by callers or presenters. Can't remember the last big bet that came in by a plunge either. Maybe I don't pay attention.
  17. Adam Patron performed very poorly. Probably the worst performing horse I have ever put forward on here. Disappointing. Liked the drive of young Ben though.
  18. 50 EW! WTF! CP%? Surely you Pay His Visa off?
  19. Nice. I thought Baker Creek went a very good race for third too. Good to see her do a bit of work. She got a win or two left in her.
  20. So? He goes good races and will win a race someday. He is getting better with age, something not all do. Maybe the 'better stables' are the mugs.
  21. Probably means all the money for Change Is Good in the third is on the mark. 13 to 6s.
  22. Who would have predicted that? The Mot curse again. He hasn't been happy since his run on the grit at Ashburton. Looks off his game. Expect to see him next grass track season and he wins 3 in a row!
  23. I was out and about on Saturday and tried to put a few bets on. I had good coverage and wasn't expecting any problem but trying to get trebles and quaddies on was a nightmare. It was so slow and then it wouldn't even work. Out I go and then back in for the same problem to happen. What should have been a 2-minute job was 20 minutes before I gave up. Talk about making one anti-social! Oh, for the days of quaddies etc just being on the one page and not having to load up page after page after page. I hate the incessant scrolling too. <I feel better now>
  24. What is your best one out of that lot, Dougie?
  25. I want to. Maybe, even should. However, I can feel another placing coming up before he gets turned out at the end of the grass track season. That is me with my mythical trainer's hat on. Then he comes back at the start of next season and wins a few in a row. An easy game this harness racing ?
