  1. Today, when I went searching for a gambling helpline to wind Flag up about him not rating Chase Auckland (while rating Jafa Kitten lol) I stumbled upon Gambling Helpline New Zealand. I had a look around and went into the forum part. It is pretty sad reading to see how gambling can wreck people's lives and their loved ones. Fortunately, I have never seen the real dark of addictive gambling. I had a distant acquaintance in my younger days who put himself in difficulty due to his big losses and heard he lost his house in time but don't know the details. I also have had a couple of mates who probably gambled too much at times but they can reign it in when needed and are not compulsive. I certainly don't see people at the track losing their cool and going nuts because they lost. I don't have any horror gambling stories apart from that distant acquaintance, or fortunately, any friends severely affected by out of control gambling but I suppose they are out there. So are addicted gamblers commonly involved in just harness racing? Are they out there? What is the worst punting story you have? I am strangely interested but not being a gall at the same time as I realise problem gambling is no joke to anyone concerned.
  2. What he did today is rarely seen. All-Stars 1, 2 and 3 up front and in control. Then AGs winds up and goes past all 3. My memory can't remember that happening often.
  3. I watched the replay. Nothing he could do early on after settling in the running line. It would be a candidate for the drive of the season.
  4. His drive on Ashley Locaz just now was excellent too even though it ran 4th.
  5. He had it positioned after the start and then got surrounded by the 3 wide train didn't he? What was he meant to do?
  6. Bubbled Up as well. Crikey, don't see that often. Great drive. Those that took the $1.70 should send him a thank you card.
  7. Maximum return $20
  8. Tim Williams takes a bit of heat on here but he drove him confidently and well. Good job.
  9. After showing the video on trackside they will have to. Drivers get nailed for hitting wheels all the time. I would consider it a 100% lock. They have to...surely....must.....why wouldn't they...
  10. I am no do-gooder but I am really tired of these unnecessary slurs on here. Each to their own I suppose.
  11. He will get a holiday for what it is worth.
  12. I would have a word with your mum then. Could have been worse, you could have been named Ecstasy or Molly or E-bomb.
  13. If you thought the low-class trot was a lottery then Didjabringthebeers winning the big trot will surely match it. Good to see those trotters rated ust below the so-called guns fronting up and beating them. As for the drive on Marcoola, surely there will be a careless driving charge coming up to appease the punters who got burnt.
  14. I find most winners experience that. Certainly helps!
  15. Close. Very good call you made.
  16. A similar standard of service to the TAB website then.
  17. Oh dear lord...you need help. ... the number is on the website.
  18. You could be right. He is still at the stage of improving which doesn't apply to most in the race. The race has an unusual mix of horses in my mind. Will Zeddit and Tehoro trot away from those draws? Sun Swinger at 4s? The form of others?
  19. FU, Do you rate Jafa Kitten more highly than Chase Auckland? 50/50 call? ?
  20. Stipes no doubt have 'discretionary powers' Best ass-covering term ever invented.
  21. Ring the TAB and ask them for those odds. The TAB representative will then ask you for the secret password. The password is 'Brodie' It is guaranteed to get you the 51s you desire.
  22. I would be waiting for the tote price FU. Be surprised if it was less than 21 on the tote.
  23. Has anybody got any thoughts on Mama Knows Best in this race?
  24. Fun multi of Glenthorne (win) and Adam Patron (place) at odds of 8.50 I am sure there are some good bets somewhere within those fields today but I am unaware of them ?
  25. My regulars of Appearance, Magical Melissa and Franco Riot are all too short for me. There are things that don't fit tomorrow, eg MM drawn 1, Franco Riot has Bush Man drawn inside him and Appearance is under the odds. So I am going a touch wild and saying Johnny Eyre at 10s, probably more the tote. Last chance saloon with the drop in class, slightly unlucky last couple of starts and good course stats. Time for Johnny to turn back the clock and win a race.
