  1. Who has been arrested?
  2. Noticed this while bored last night. There were 8 races at Pinjarra and these were some of the divvies. Why do the TAB, or punters bother with odds like these? Is it just overkill? Only for the desperate or addicted?
  3. You claim to have found racecafe but as soon as you appeared on this site you were into Brodie like you had known him for a long time. If you think the posters on here are that stupid then u do indeed belong on at least one of the sites you mention. Maybe, the one with no posts for four years. You could get it humming again, because whether you like it or not, Brodie is the type of poster you would need to do so. Just post in a reasonable manner and you will be good value on here.
  4. Going to be fun watching this. I hope Messara realizes it isn't going to be a walkover in any political, economic or social dimension regardless of the validity of his measures.
  5. A bit like the rugby union having control over franchises and what goes on. I thought there was a 'plan' a few years ago that was outlined in a roadshow saying what would be done in the future. Whatever happened to that
  6. Bit of a Cafe? Racing Yarns? No matter where one goes there will always be someone annoying someone.....
  7. Timaru can go to either Oamaru or Ashburton. Nelson can go to Marlborough (since there are more trainers there) Waikouaiti can go to Forbury. No idea why it is even allowed to remain open. The West Coast and Southland are minefields I have no idea about. Ashburton needs to be upgraded and utilised better. Would like to see training facilities set up there for up and coming trainers as it will help with sustainability, still be affordable and in a central location for everywhere.
  8. I hear there is a plan of closures over a period of years. All quite long range. As far as I know harness won't be affected straight away.
  9. I see Lazarus is being reported as having a virus. May explain yesterday.
  10. but who is 'they'
  11. Brodie actually did a few weeks. Much to the amazement of those that noticed. I respect his right not to give tips. My two failed yesterday. Not my thing to tip publicly either as I am a bit uncomfortable with it when they lose. I am not sure who the 'self-professed experts' are on here, that is why I asked the question who 'they' were. Brodie has already been validated as a very good punter by Counter Punch. I would tend to believe it.
  12. Who are they?
  13. And if I might add, it was a dreary affair to watch. I would give up if I had to watch that all the time.
  14. It was odd to see him beaten like that.
  15. Who needs tracks in NZ when you have this....
  16. The thing that will keep harness alive in the future are the grass tracks. In this day and age of expense and social media, in time, grass track racing should turn into a weekend pastime for all. I believe it has that opportunity if marketed well enough. It would destroy the gallops as with just main tracks it will have no atmosphere at all.
  17. I'm still coming to grips with the Billie Jean tip. Brilliant. I like Star Dude at 15 FF in the first race. His trial 2 weeks ago was too bad to believe. Could barely trot but I will put that down to something amiss. I liked his 4th to Wee Man Trouble at Addington in his last start. Some nice types were 2nd and 3rd. Lovey Dovey Moment and Take After Me finished behind him. I will back Tim Trathen to have him sorted for this. His team is going good too. B Mac C in Race 8 at 10 50FF is handy money. I think he is coming solid going by his last race and his trial second to Locarburn was good as he came home strong. If he can find a spot early he will go close. Lots of odds out there tomorrow. Could be a fun day. ?
  18. Crazy.
  19. Seriously, where does this leave trotting clubs like Waimate? No gallops at Oamaru or Timaru, maybe harness could become the preferred racing choice of the provinces?
  20. How will harness tracks cope with no assistance from the galloping code to maintain facilities etc? A lot of harness tracks will be the only ones left at a venue.
  21. Plus Bailey's so we have 4 of the 10 horse field covered. Do you think one of them will run a place? lol
  22. Wonder what this could possibly do to harness racing? Less tracks, especially in the north, will grass track racing disappear?
  23. What the hell is this doing here when harness and greys can't even get a mention. Talk about narrow in scope.
  24. My favourite. Not. Hello, harness racing and greyhounds here, ummm, we exist, hello........hello?
  25. horses 1 to 5 are not really in it so only has to run 3 out of the other 5. Me logic thinks lol
