Friday night is harness night but they are previewing the racing at Riccarton and they show some Grand National from the past which is pure carnage. Horses falling, standing up and being hit by other horses. More ghastly falls. They even edited out a horse falling at the last despite it being in the commentary. Sorry, but jumps racing is revolting and should be banned. At the very least, I don't need to see it on a Friday night watching Addington.

Lovey Dovey Moment has always shown ability. I lost money on it early on. Hasn't been firing lately but got punted on fixed odds at its last start. Now it goes and wins.....

Race 10 is very even. Good money to be had if you can get it right.

One mistake to not go on the 3 wide train. Not sure there were more than one. Bit annoying nonetheless.

Bouquet for Trackside. I see they will cover Lazarus' debut in America live. I suppose they should, but in this day and age of 'surprises' one can't take anything for granted.

Harness Racing in the north does not need this sort of thing hampering its effort to save itself.

See it is being reported he is injured and almost guaranteed he is out of Cup. They had said he was being targeted early on but then connections seem to go lukewarm so this injury is the end of any Cup aspirations. At least the race is getting more even. Some of those lower R55 owners might be now considering a tilt lol

Any thoughts? Value? Certainly more interesting than the Cup

His week may get worse. He should be fined for not being on the gate with Eye Candy in race 2 as it allowed him to drop to the rails quickly and get a run right up the inside.

The latest. Here is the video of his 1.48.6 'trial run'. It begs the question of how fast will he go in America during a race.

Disturbing if true. The purple patch from during the early 90s was incredible. Every time his horses started they were a massive chance. Then it all dropped off and was never the same.
