M GILL... NEW ZEALAND'S WORST HARNESS TRAINER
Happy Sunrise replied to OLDWHITEMAN's topic in Trotting Chat
I went back and had a look yesterday for the first time in ages. I see some 'Newmarket', a new member, was criticising this site and its members for their tips at Forbury after only 20 posts or something. How would the new 'Newmarket' know who we were? It is so transparent it is pitiful. -

Mind you, if you want some counterfeit money I see you can get some on the RC harness page. Got my blood spinning when I saw that. Get in quick boys. -

Why was 'False Step' who won 3 NZ Cups not included in this series? Anyone know? -

Going through the garage and saw my favourites and thought I should I put one up on the wall somewhere. Does anybody else have this series? I can't even remember how I got mine but remember going to some random framing place to either pick them up or get them framed. Wonder what would happen if they repeated this again. Lazarus, Adore Me.... Raphoe?

Don't think so. oldwhiteman on the other hand....

Seem like Chicago Bull is going to turn up. Bull is charging to NZ Cup 05 August 2018 By Adam Hamilton It is now just a matter of how and when Chicago Bull goes to the New Zealand Cup, not if. The pint-sized superstar made it four wins from as many starts and is as many weeks when he snatched a head win at Gloucester Park last night (Friday). It wasn’t his most impressive win, but it got a big tick from driver Gary Hall Jr. “It was a wet track, a really heavy track. I could’ve worked to the lead if I’d wanted to, but I actually spoke with the stewards before the race about the going being quite heavy near the inside and him being a little horse, I’d be happier to sit one-off,” he said. “It almost backfired on me, but he found a way to get the job done. I was trying to look after him, if that makes sense.” A rejuvenated Devendra led and Hall Jr allowed him to dictate with a 63.4sec middle split of the 2536m before they roared home in 55.1 and 27.3sec. Trainer Gary Hall Sr said he it was now all about keeping Chicago Bull “ticking along” until the Victoria and NZ Cups. “He’s going to both, the timing works,” he said. “I might stretch his races out to once a fortnight until between now and when we go to Melbourne. “Then, after Melbourne, we’ll get across to NZ as soon as we can to make sure we get a lead-up race in across there before the NZ Cup.”

M GILL... NEW ZEALAND'S WORST HARNESS TRAINER

Go back to where you belong. Nobody wants you here. -
When are you putting your tips on your thread, Mardy?

$6 and drawn one on the second line...good luck to those taking that.

Finally all odds up. Anyway, I thought Days of Redemption might go ok in race 2 at 8 50 FF and 2 40 FF. Has manners and is dropping back in class from what he raced in his last prep. Should be roundabouts for at least a place. Will be interesting to see if the stable movement to Tim Butt and Johnny Cox can lift Edesia by a couple of lengths in race 1.
-
I wish the TAB had the competence (surely not balls?) to put all the odds out at once instead of having some FF win odds out for certain races and FF place for others. Bloody hell. It ain't that hard, is it?
-
I doubt it is one person as I see they are giving tips for Forbury trots, Moonee Valley and other Aussie gallops and rugby predictions. Either he is TAB bumpkin with loads of time or a professional punter who bets on everything. Hence, the reason why I think 'the shark' is a 'make believe' entity to attract interest.

I have always wondered if that sort of thing should be notified before the race. If I knew something like that I would have punted Lovey. I don't get why some trainers tell the stipes they will drive the horse for one sprint etc but they don't bother with other things like shoeing. I suppose it would just get all too much. But if you are asked why the sudden improvement in a performance of a horse by the stipes then maybe one should be declaring it. Don't know. The status quo where nobody really cares is easiest and I suppose the easiest way is most often the best way for the majority.

Not over yet! EVERY OPTION - held up early and middle stages of the home straight. An investigation was opened into the tactics of driver B Wilmott between the 600 metres and the 450 metres when he did not improve his position outwards to gain a covered three wide run into the race.
-
If you want to turn people off racing then keep showing horrific stuff like that. It was enough to make one dry retch.
