You are right on its trial form but the TAB is just keeping it tight because of Hill/May factor
-
Their trials were so quiet I reckon it is a boom or bust situation. If Cloud Nine wins first the other will probably win too. What concerns me with Orange / McGrath is what like happened last week at the Mot with Adhika. It had no trial form to speak off but still went out at 4s or so simply because of the combination and ran an average race for 7th. Is there ability, or as Galah has alluded to, just a TAB lead to entice people.

Think his money is already on.

What about your tips HTP?

Very much so. They used to back things in from the clouds to ground level a few years ago but doesn't seem to happen often these days. The Purvis barn is kept tight too like a few of the other obvious stables. You are right, it is not a strong field and probably the weakest race of the day. Vintage Beach didn't do much at Oamaru but was never really in it. I would take the 3.30 on Hidden Delight before 2.60 on VB as it seems to go well from a stand and the magical fix of being in a new stable will be apparent I imagine. Daryl Kerrigan would be a big chance if he stepped away on terms but that is a big if. If I was looking for a bet I would be back Gottagettabeer at 10s....step...run...trail...

Sometimes things don't add up if you do some study. I look at Vintage Beach tomorrow at 2.60FF and wonder how they get to that price for it. Well done if it wins but to only get 2.60 ?

I know, but someone still thinks it can win. Jonty James has dropped from 19 to 13s. I haven't backed it for the win yet. Just anchoring a few multis with it. I am waiting for Methven@Ashburton ....next week lol.

Racing at Mecca tomorrow. Apparently free entry if patrons pat Phar Lap's head as they enter the course....? I am struggling to find a mix of value and confidence but I have settled on odd one. I like Jonty James for the place in the last at 3.40FF. The field is pretty weak for a start and he has drawn one over the mobile which is a vast improvement over the carpark draws he has been getting. He ran on out wide against Rollova at the Mot and his previous start at Ashburton he ran a 5 length fifth to Wild Excuse after being 5 back on the outside in the running. Franco Garrett, King of Heroes and Portalegre were the other placed horses in front of him. The favourite Simply Dreaming is off the unruly and only paying FF2.10 (no more free rides for the Purvis punters these days) Old Jonty still seems to be interested in hitting the line so I may even go each way in a big drop in class. There are a few shorties like Vintage Beach, Laver, Patronus Star who may well win but not at those odds for me. Also looking forward to seeing how Rory Brown fronts up after his disgrace on debut at Addington. He stepped slowly at the trials but it is hard to shake off his previous trial form where he looked pretty good. He is at 7FF and I doubt I will be able to let him slide. Hopefully more on the tote. Interesting there has been money for El Dorado (McGrath and Orange combo) in a competitive race but none for Cloud Nine (same combo) considering Cloud Nine looked to be better than El Dorado in the 2 year old races. And this is also interesting, a one start trotter with a solitary 9th to its name after breaking and taking on much more experienced horses gets back in the fixed odds...

No news on this front but I see the twitter comment that was put up by Mr Knight is no longer there. What one makes of that is anybody's guess.

Horse with a bit of sass?
-
I just watched his trial from Ashburton last week. While he was last of the pack they all moved a couple of lengths ahead of him by the end. Sadly, I think the edge has gone from him.

After the success of the Japanese... to think the Sunwolves have been booted from Super Rugby. Crikey, one would think the TAB are in charge of Rugby.

You forgot Globe, Rusty and quite a few others.
-
Your kind don't upset me. Not one bit. Last thing, I don't get why you would want to post on here since it is so sterile. Why waste your time. Surely it is better on the fertile grounds of harness racing RC with similar thinking people to yourself. IMHO.

I think once this World Cup is finished people will realise it was the Cup where the Pacific Nations demise became apparent. The Uruguay win and the Japanese performance has hidden it. Tonga and Samoa are woeful, especially Samoa. Fiji not much better.
-
You are that thick you can even read the full sentence. Only 2 posters on RC use the word in the sentence like you do FTM. By the way, it takes 2 minutes to find your similarities as there are so many of them. You are on a first name basis with the owner so why don't you ask him.
-
Well deserved. And it needs to be remembered after winning that 'big' race at Forbury, he backed up two starts later to win again at the same price of 11s.
-
Yes. I just want people to realise what he has done and is doing with his multiple posters charade.
-
Too true but don't panic. JJ and FTM can work out their bets based on the premiums they place on drivers. If Mark and Nat are not driving will these two be asking the TAB for better odds? It is like these 2 are telepathic but I think it is a certainty that this 1 is ...pathetic.
-
25! That is a promising start. Even 5 or 6 would be good.
-
Our FTM moves in mysterious ways. Hope he enters the punters competition but it will force him to bet on those races with a rating of under 120. Hope he can cope.

Stevie Lynn has already won...you will have nothing left!
