The more successful trainers the better. It creates competition which is only good.

So were does the negativity Pasketti talks about turn into reality? Who knows the truth or better yet who can tell me where to read about it all?
-
Seems pretty organised from what I have witnessed but I know nothing. Pasketti, do you know? any insight to what is really going on?
-
They just need to make a proper pathway for the young ones to come through in the north who will replace the great ones but that is just a minor part of the bigger picture. The question is whether the bigger picture is taken care of. I thought it was with the development and increased stakes. Then they could redistribute money to areas where they needed it? Am I wrong?

Hope Galah doesn't have it rated #1 ?

Thanks boss.

Mandy's manners.... Leading not her go you are right there. Very interesting to hear your thoughts. Cheers.?

Pasketti, I don't see how this site is pathetic when someone put forwards comment about race tactics. You have only said it was a bad drive rather than team driving. So if Poutama's drive is considerd 'bad' for dropping down to 4 or 5 back on the rails early on when he would have been well placed on the outside, do you think he should have been questioned by the stipes about his decision making? From a punter's point of view it is quite frustrating. Could you answer my questions in my above post? I am interested in knowing the answer as I am asking genuinely. When an astute person like Galah points things out it is worth listening to and then debating if one feels the need. As for Racecafe being much more positive - I suggest you read the threads on there and reconsider your comment. Nobody wants to see North Island harness battle as it is vital for the industry as a whole. I don't have any inside knowledge of the true state of the game but with what I read about the development and debt I would be afraid to pull up the carpet to see what might really be there. I just don't think blaming this thread and BOAY is the answer.

Watching the Ireland v Japan game. You have to hand it to the Japanese crowd and their support. Pretty amazing.

How do you think 'Duke' will go, HTP? It is pretty short. Now the 'revitalised' horse is out of the race the odds of Stevie Lynn and Carita (early days on the tote) seem pretty good.
-
It is very questionable. Yet, no questions asked I see. How does this happen with the horse 4 back on the inside (eventual winner) in a very short distance? Is it that easy to push out when no horse is making a move? I don't see this very often. Why does it not happen more often? My armchair is asking.

...to take the trail and enjoy the run.

At least we are one hour closer to the grass track season than we think we are.

Too tricky with daylight savings twice a year.

How will Awesome Impee and Stevie Lynn go tomorrow?
-
I agree. Would just like to know what time they open so the value can be had!
-
I have settled on Awesome Impee at 11ff and 3.50ff in Race 2 as my best value bet of the day. There are many chances in the race and the odds are interesting. Silver Surfer, Flying Mandy and The Artful Dodger are all pretty short. There is more value around Mono Gamble at 8ff, Awesome Impee 11ff, DD's Super Stuart 19ff and the absolute bolter, Just Another Legend, at 71ff, who ran a pretty good race at Ashburton last time and was backed in on the fixed odds from memory but it hasn't happened this time. However, the field is full of headcases so I think Awesome Impee should get handy, will handle the grass and be running on strongly. I think it is her time to win. I have taken a place multi of Prodigal Guiness ,Awesome Impee and Carita at odds of $11.20 I also see Westview's tip from Ashburton, Stevie Lynn is in Race 4 at 18ff and 5ff. A much better race to be in and the draw is ok. Certainly way over the odds.

How come the TAB have started putting up the odds early Saturday afternoon these days? Was it announced or just something that happened?

Are you still posting over there HTP? ? If it is you, how can you post when you are banned? I wonder why they let that happen? If it isn't you, it is almost a badge of honour for someone to copy your name and post on RC when you are long gone. One would think the owner of the site would ask the person to change their RC name so the place is not sullied. Maybe they miss you and all is forgiven? Very strange indeed to allow you to still have a presence on RC.

After reading on the thoroughbred site about the supposed demise of BOAY earlier in the week and the crap that was dished out to some people I went and had a look. Good to see our own FTM supporting his old mates of RC. IMHO. Couldn't get a vis-a-vis in there though.

He is not Greg O'Connor.

It is a real shame when things like these happen. UMC wood have been such a media puller on cup day. Rivalry, the unknown, the possibility...all gone now. Will the Aussies get here? If not it will be a procession as usual for the all stars. Maybe addington should ask Taylor Swift to come and sing...I will be there with bells on?

Maybe they are encouraging the horses to get some black type so the breeding numbers go up in the future?
