  1. Agree, so why did Patrick Erin go to Waller and won 3x stakes he had won in NZ within 4 starts ????
  2. So you googled.but clearly you are like Thomas, but keep to to facts Ace and don't say your father/mother could sing and yet stupid says it is there genes,I know Harry well and if you asked him to show an hurdle rider how to have balance,is just stupid
  3. Dean Martin,s father/mother couldn't, sing or his brother or sister for that matter and yet he could,so your point/comparison with Harris is as usual "crap"
  4. 7 races at Woodville and all the winners were ridden by Ladies. What the hell is going on here, every male jockey that rode today, must clearly give themselves an upper cut,you are bringing as now to a level that is unacceptable.
  5. Remind me again how many times NDH rode over fences, you space cadet? I will answer this as you have no idea,,,ZERO
  6. D Howarth did the same thing and our ex jockey become stipe/JCA member let him away with a warning and NO Testing .
  7. 100/% the RIU here is the issue,PEOPLE like Ching,, who was an average rider drink a few beers with another average stipe called B Craick become a stipe but M Pitman destroyed him , he changed teams and became a member of the RIU,go back and sell houses and get off the gravy train called racing/intergirty and you will have several people in the same boat
  8. I went to the stud a few weeks ago and i was told that RL had to be hand walked for 30 minutes every day.The stud/owners from where he came from left no stone upturned for RL safety and well being. Colic can and does happen all the time but to say this may hinder shuttle travel is unlikely, when you have had Coolmore and Darley sending stallions down under for years and RL would have done thousands of km in his racing career and look poor old Subzero almost fell to colic
  9. My sources tell me that a review is being done on the RIU, AS WE SPEAK
  10. I agree she raced so much better, but the tempo of the race allowed her to travel better, that is the best she looked in the running, but in my view the tempo was hot,but do agree the gear they had on was wrong and Waller is a genius at getting gear correct
  11. Two of the best Tudors of apprentices in the past where B Deacon and K Gray, neither as far as i know where jockeys.J Lalor was D Walsh boss, never rode and of course the Skeltons and as far as i know L Pratt never rode. I believe C Campbell is not the finished product as yet and he may be ready in a year to test the water in the NI
  12. Are you serious Reefton? A Saturday meeting and they couldn't do 20k on course and around the same figures for Riccarton. If any of these clubs have promotion/Marketing personal, they are clearly void of ideas,or you are 100% correct and these big clubs are the cause of the decline of Racing.Send these figures to Messara and see if he will reverse his original proposal.
  13. Thursdays meeting has been canned because a lack of entries. Goodness knows where our industry is heading,as in perfect weather, good surface and not enough horses to fill the fields.
  14. I read where the Indian Jockey Club allowed a horse to be named Winx. It also states that 3/4 is as quick as it can go
  15. I played in a golf tournament yesterday with this group and i can tell you they have a culture that is infectious. They booked the course, had golf carts booked, as many beers as you wanted before teeing off,had a drone getting shots of the golf, had a at least 4 carts going around with drinks all day,had a food stop at 10,IT WAS THE BEST VALUE DAY YOU COULD EXPECT. If it wasn't for the beers we would have won, finished 1.4 shots off winning with the lowest handicap, but who cares,it was great day run by people who would lap the NZTR MARKETING TEAM BLINDFOLDED.
  16. In my opinion the main reason is the Stewards for the sad decline of the riding standards, We have had cones left on a track, horses loaded into wrong stalls with a steward around at the start to check on this issue,Stewards inspecting tracks prior to racing and declaring them safe, when clearly they were not etc. They give to many warnings, when charges should be laid and this leads to horses been checked and put out of contention.
  17. Just shows me how the jockeys of today, think and plan a race. Tell me why the Steward around at the start and didn't know the horses were in the wrong barriers was not fined for incompetence. Is this because they are a protective bunch and are above the Rules. A young fellow gets fined for an early wave 2 strides before the post in the Hokitika Cup and yet the steward gets nothing.Hardly fair in my opinion.
  18. After the incompetence at Taranaki, the only right option regarding the RIU is to remove all of them and start again. They reported that J Waddell had reported his horse had dipped, really why did J Waddell have to report this incident? Stevie Wonder could have seen this incident, so the Stewards sent out the Course manager to inspect the track and they took advice from him and after consulting with him they allowed the meeting to continue. Why didn't the Stewards go and inspect the track, instead of listening to the course manager? Sheer incompetence in my opinion., as the Stewards are responsible for workplace safety for horse and riders. Then in the next race, Stumpy fell, leaving T Allan with a broken arm and when you view the film, he was only inches from serious injury. Worksafe NZ should be made aware of the incompetence in recent times of the RIU AND IT'S OFFICIALS.
  19. after meetings revealed they may lose their Licence. The police came up with the ID checks, bag searches, intoxication checks prior to entering the course. This costs money and the figure i found out was 90k. So the CJC has to charge something to recover a percentage of this expense. Just my view and I am not saying what the amount to enter should be.
  20. I just got a txt this morning from a fellow employee, saying Blair is back. I take it that same will apply to John Dunn. Interesting that the JCA have overruled the RIU
  21. Just got a text from a good mate of Blair Orange which says Blair is back. I would assume that John Dunn will be in the same boat. I would like to know how the JCA believe that the RIU WERE WRONG.
  22. Of course Show Gate at Riccarton
  23. No different up here, One Baker Street was completely stripped in both hind legs and close to being euthanized. The connections will have a large Vet bill to contend with, along with not having a horse to race for some time, or if at all. The Stewards must be held accountable for any incident on Raceday, as these apprentices must be charged for incompetence and in this way, they MAY learn, but equally, the 2 riding masters must hold a degree of responsibility for allowing/recommending these riders to be licensed, when clearly they are not ready clearly. Wait until one of these apprentices or someone else gets seriously injured and they get Worksafe and OSH visting and asking questions, just ask S McKee what the financial implications of an accident can cost.
  24. Really,A girl went to the McKee stable after doing 1 month at pony club and after 2 months working at the stable asked if she could ride a quiet horse around 2 laps of there track. She went perfectly for 1 lap and then it turned to custard when the horse took off and dropped her and she finished in a wheelchair. Now Worksafe is taking the stable to court for unsafe practices and after getting a lawyer at there cost. he advised them to plead guilty and take the 200k fine or continue to use the lawyer to defend the case at a cost of 500k and no guarantee of success and if you lose the fine would be anyone's guess. So I am told he is going to plead guilty, WHAT A JOKE, so if David Walsh had passed this girl as competent as a rider, who would be facing this charge with Worksafe???
  25. Agree, but that is what happens when you have below average Stewards policing the industry and that is in both codes. Mike Godber is clueless and clearly out of his depth in his role.
