    Good thread CS. it is in times of Crisis like these! when often true insights can be brutally gleaned!!!! One of the good points about this current 'follow the money trail' subsidy. is that it is nice and transparent!!! YES! I'm more interested to see what actual 'good advise' to the Coalface has/is coming out of 'head office', practical I hope! Is everyone actually getting what they entitled to!!

    No! If you were to use methodologies like that! then you would Start at the point of Production. Nationalise the breeding process! these horses are 'given/balloted' out to 'pro trainers' to race! Costs would come way way down! A question for you, it is true that the Most successful racing model currently in the world is also the 'most' Socialist? Hong Kong?

    in a previous life! I had talks with the then ceo about the need to be using digital platforms (like the then embryonic RC), to enable 'voices' to be heard! they couldn't see past the troubles of having to deal with Robust debate!!! Far safer to be keeping everything 'in house'! ... sigh

    I took the trouble to cash out Mrs Fish acc on sat..... she smiled!!! It will be interesting to see who be jumping ship from head office as the shithole gets deeper... for racing this has got the feel that the slow and steady (sunset) decline is about to be gaining some speed! no longer the soft gentle decline! , more like! off the gentle slopes and onto the ski jumping course! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... this is going to be a hard landing!!!

    Class, has always been in play re NZ Racing! It looks like 'Ownership' has moved more and more back to a area of the Dominate Owner, off a hundred years or so.! It seems to be a Player today! You first must make the $$$$ elsewhere first! Do you understand what a Sunset Industry is Greg?

    Back when the stock market was boiling and the lights for night racing were burning! it was a exciting place to be! There had been concerned about weather our camera gair/film would be fit for purpose! it just was! Lots of Press to be had in the Press Room! Which was well stocked with liquor!!! It was a pleasure to be taking photos there! a slow and steady decline since those days! sigh...

    re Slipper, often I find this is the hardest of the ozzzie G1's to work out... and on top of things a track that will not be suitable for many... a great race to be watching... ps, tiz great to see a young kiwi couple with the #1 in the race!
