  1. Dennis has all his five horses racing this weekend (Rangiora and Oamaru) yet only AS and another stable newbie in Aveross Majesty are listed as being with Bruce and Jess Young, for me no chance in Hell the other 3 are being floated back and forth to Dunedin. Interesting to see how Aveross Majesty will go on saturday after a trial win but in a slow time, same owners as donut king stablemate ...... could be a profitable weekend for the stable you just never know when slow horses are all racing each other anything can happen.
  2. Hayden Cullen to lease the property ... really, that place would cost thousands per month to lease, must be in line for plenty of horses. Mark might need the cash, will he turn up in Central over New Years with tent in hand and BBQ with the Williamson's and make some $$ as a freelance driver.
  3. So if the Lamb Chop is a private contractor so to speak and hired on a meeting basis by clubs would there be a contract between them all and him?? Just seems weird that all these clubs employ him: Rangiora Addington Banks P Methven Geraldine Ashvegas Add to this list when Timaru or Greymouth have a meeting at Addington and does he start in Nelson also? I for one can't believe that not 1 of these Stand Alone Clubs don't employ Ricky D as word is he's the best starter in the country...... No way they all think Lamb is the best their must be input /pressure from HRNZ to employ Lamb even if they won't admit to it.
  4. https://www.lincolnfarms.co.nz/stories/horsemen-weigh-options-in-fallout-to-shocking-cup-start-everyone-baying-for-lambs-blood/ Another very good read. I don't care if Lamb leaves/retires or gets re training I just want whoever is there is to get it right 99% of the time instead of this guy at 50-60% of the time. I went to watch the race again on HRNZ and shock horror they've edited the start of the race from what was there yesterday. The betting was big yesterday, up from last year and no doubt the suits and marketing guys will suck up a nice bonus but what they don't realise or care about is it's the every week punter that's dropping off due to incompetence and that drop off in turnover is way more important than the young kids getting pissed once a year on cup day and blowing a few hundy on the punt.
  5. Yeah so he stands so far in front of the start for his reasons but has no chance of seeing if it's a straight line or how close to the tapes the horses are solely in my opinion for when a shambles like this happens he's got numerous built in excuses.
  6. https://www.lincolnfarms.co.nz/stories/universal-outrage-after-todays-shambolic-new-zealand-cup-start-destroys-many-hopes/ Really Good read. Why doesn't the Lamb Chop start every stand start from 5 metres in front of the tape and 3 or 4 metres high--- perfect viewing. Shambles
  7. Yip, but Isn't it his job to let the field go evenly and standing still not just when he feels like it.... it's not a rolling start it's a standing start, A revealing photo's of the start from the drone showed Copt That was stuffed before the riiiiiiiiiigggggghhht ( Wrong ) call was yelled,
  8. I didn't bet on Copy That but why wouldn't the connections at least throw in a protest re a fair start and save the poor punter, as we know a history in the last 2 weeks a numerous late scratching due to the Lamb Chop stuffing up.
  9. So many strange things happen in harness racing which put off the punter yet nothing changes. We've all whinged about it, even today in the FFA Trot best mannered horses get stuffed over and a repeat of what happened with Majestic Man a few weeks back..... yes a few breakers but without looking it up "The Dominator" would break at least in 75% of his starts and breaks twice in the score up, I've never seen an open class trotter with such bad manners.
  10. We all knew it was going to be a lottery .... I'm pretty confident there'll be nothing in the stipes report ------- HAAAAAAPPPPY RIIIIGHT. In my opinion if Copy That draws 7-10 he wins and probably same for the best beginner Classie Brigade. Unless Lamb is close to retirement age sadly we are stuck with him.
  11. https://southernharness.co.nz/ Really good listen from multiple trainers if anyone's interested in the major southern horses for today.
  12. Should I take $3.40 place for Classie Brigade or is he stuffed from that draw? You'd think at some stage will loop the field. Only 3 winning chances going by the market but surely with the RIGHT man in charge and potentially a wet cup anything can happen.
  13. Even 2 others with worse form than the 2 quoted emergencies have gained a start, Not often throughout the year lower to mid grade trotters are offered $25k prize money race, it's important the suits do their job and get the best field available from the nominations -- "Take After Me" even though erratic would be well supported on the tote for sure. Don't Look back no chance of even placing as they'll run 3:20 and will be an 80-1 shot
  14. I think that's why they stayed away from the mile at Ashvegas and now the 1980 FFA - when he goes flat out that's when he breaks, longer races he can take his time move around sit parked and win- Monday wasn't his fault. Happy you know your shit, R12 on Tuesday how on earth has "Don't Look Back" got a start ahead of "Take After Me" and even "She's Allthe Craze" ??? Bloody Crazy.
  15. Fair call... my major gripe is a 3rd in a group 3 in my opinion shouldn't equate to such a huge jump in the rankings. I was a little surprised that Sundees Sun won't be in the FFA Tuesday, as much as I want a Williamson trained horse to win the Dominion, if Sundees Sun trots the whole way I can't see him being beaten.
  16. How are the ranking worked out ???? You look at the Dominion, at Kaikoura Midnight Dash runs 3rd in decent field but really only due to 3 better horses galloping for various reasons but Midnight Dash moves up 8 spots from 22 to 14..... yes pretty much gets into the Dominion on that so so run. Destiny Jones terribly out of form due but due to horses pulling out actually moves up the rankings. Matua Tana is a sensational trotter but how many times can you gallop in races stuffing up other horses and not get time on the sidelines.
  17. Don't agree with is but yes the seem to, wonder how their joints are if they make it to retirement and cruising around a paddock.
  18. I'm sure the owner breeders couldn't give a flying fuck Forbury, they have a full sister and others from the mare. Raced in NZ 17 times for $32k, who knows what the sale price was but they'll be way in front now but if she had raced in NZ the last 2 years not sure you could make that same statement.
  19. Dexter's drive in race 1 paying $2.80 fixed here in NSW has raced the last 6 weeks in a row running around 1:50 for the mile each week.... absolutely crazy how they train and run their horses in the mighty US of A.
  20. Fuck me another late scratching , watch the replay Yea You was a little side on but was stationary when the gooooooose said go. In my opinion bad luck but if this clown can't get it right get rid of him, costing clubs and punters money.
  21. Subtle 😁 Yeah in foal too I think, fast horse. Now I don't want to start another thread but would anyone know January 6 is a Wyndham Club meeting but this is normally held at Cromwell, will that be the case next year( 2021). Cheers.
  22. Wow lucky you. Rory might get too far back on the Fav here, good horse but very short.
  23. I'm just impressed the Chief can start a topic on my behalf, gotta love technology... wish the man would pay my bills for me too and wash my car !!!
  24. How about lock this down if Jimmy misses a placing? if he wins or places let the carnage continue.
  25. Back onto horse talk, be interesting to see the $1500 buy Jimmy Cannon run around in r10, they picked a hard race to kick off in.
