  1. Holy crap 4 pages of absolute dribble on this subject. All you have to do is read the 1st post from Brodie and this one from Brodie, see the discrepancies and we can all move on. Just like Happy I'm worried for Rusty, he's eating a bucket of KFC for every page on this topic and he needs to stop!!!!!!!!
  2. I was thinking the same BUT you need a bit of form to get into the fields.... wouldn't want to miss out on a run cos of a warm up run.
  3. He drove all 3 very ordinarily which is unusual for him.
  4. Quick time mate didn't look to be going that fast, Dark Horse didn't really make any ground but didn't lose any either, mile racing not her go I'd think. Good old Father Xmas paid $9 a place yesterday running 3rd.
  5. Seriously? what did they have on instead- a lead up to a dog race? Over here it was on the main channel with a good lead in and coincidentally the highest turnover race of the day so far, even more than the flying stakes. Great win for the boys in Majestic Man.... moral of the story is never let Matty drive him again!!!!!
  6. Nice run by SS, most were struggling with 200 to go but he was making ground on a good horse - not the worst small time trainer/driver is Weaver .
  7. Cheezel, RK and Mighty Reactor place bets and a watch on how all 3 of Nathan W's go on the bigger track-- would love to see Dark Horse win but gunna be stuck 3 back the fence at best. Your buddy Aristocrat in R2 won well last start but up against it with some fast beginners drawn well.
  8. Surprised at the prices of all his horses today, was expecting better odds especially for the trotter only paying $10 here.
  9. NZ Metro TC - Sunday, 6th September 2020 Race 10 - IRT.#1 AIRFREIGHT COMPANY FOR STANDARDBREDS MOBILE PACE Driver D O'Connell defended a charge issued under Rule 868(2) alleging that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure PETE'S DASH was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible placing by failing to attempt to obtain cover and allow his runner respite when the opportunities to do so were presented but instead elect to hold the parked position. After viewing the replays and hearing the evidence, the JCA upheld the charge and Mr O'Connell's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 30 October 2020 up to and including 30 April 2021 (6 months). Low blow, 7 weeks after the incident and Dennis has driven since then the suits wait until the menace scores a great win to whack him with a 6 month suspension.
  10. This is what the rest of the season looks like, I guess they were added dates as they started with nothing but shit you'd hope turnover won't be the deciding factor as in my opinion these dates are worse for turnover then previously when the club got the flick.... also a lot of Invercargill or other Southland meetings within days of the Forbury dates which was the problem in the last few year again. I'll pick on July, all 4 sundays are NZ Met again surely 1 or 2 of those are better off with Forbury and give NZ Met the Thursday nights..... July nights in Dunedin surely these suits can't be that stupid 🤔 Dec 16 Wednesday Night Jan 27 Wednesday Day WTF? March 22 Monday Day WTF? April 14 Wednesday Night May 22 Thursday Night June 10 & 24 Thursday Nights July 1 & 8 Thursday Nights
  11. All 3 of his have placed today at 12-1
  12. Went like a busted and stuffed the stablemate too who was travelling ok 3 back the fence..... Hamish Hunter struggling with old stock 46 starts for a win and a place this season.
  13. They should have uni students race each meeting also... bet the turnover would be higher than those crap amateur races too 🤑
  14. I enjoy Forbury but out of 10 races you always seem to get 5 crap ones, but like today a good combination of cantab's and southerner's making for decent racing. Next meeting here December 16... sheesh.
  15. Don't all great drives require luck ? and breaks at the right time......it was one of the few times yes when he got parked that he didn't push on, just relaxed the horse and prayed for cover.... could have easily missed the move at the 500 mark too.
  16. Fixed 23 & 6 Tote 28 & 6.50 Was paying more than Alexy !!!!!!!!!!! Watch the replay, the suits at HRNZ cadet scheme will show that drive for years to come to the youngsters, straight out of the DD text book.
  17. I'm not in shock that the horse won, I'm in shock how good the drive was... darn close to perfection but like others I just couldn't back it with him driving as you just don't know what the menace will do.
  18. Now this is a prime example of how the TAB make a killing.....so tempting for a punter to have a large place or multi bets with this horse anchored but not every horse can back up racing after 3 days and a 400km road trip. Really liked the run of "Fast Whispering"
  19. Wow Pete's Dash only paying 10's and 3 - hasn't placed in 15 starts.
  20. When I logged onto the TAB this morning race 1 at Forbury had $28 in the win pool.... going by the prices someone had $2 a win on all 14 runners, winner paid $135 here so you've got to take your hat of the that person and their system.
  21. I'd gladly back a loser in this race if Dennis went out in this fashion..... and when the following $1000 fine comes the old buggar just refuses to pay it. On a serious note Dennis must know he's a crap driver and just likes to get out there which I have no problem with but why out of his three horses does he drive the one with the most ability and fastest, surely he should be on Alexy and Jess on FSS.
  22. Don't normally bet at Alex Park but will be watching to see if Cracker Hill can knock off the fav and a 1st or 2nd should be enough to get him into the Dominion if they want to start....... did notice a driver change for Emma Frost R3 so might have a nibble E/W @ $15s
  23. He probably backed Queen of Strathfield 🤣
  24. Great speed shown there, didn't like the fact most of his starts were from the mobile, got out to $10 here.
  25. Out of curiosity guys who would pay the airfares for the Wigg girls return flight from Auckland to CHCH for these amateur races? Surely not the club. Tough fields tonight, a lot of non betting races for me but will look at: Betterwithbling Eilish Hall Tequila Sunset
