  1. You miss the point. If they spent less time showing people talking in the Studio you would get what YOU want and that is more time in the field at the races. Which is what happened after the Cox Plate.
  2. Why do you need a studio presenter at all during raceday?
  3. Can any explain what's the point of going back to the studio to listen to Guy and Emily? They only talk. They don't actually show anything like a speed map etc. Having a studio presenter is so old school. The Ozzies don't do it for racing. The Supercars producers don't do it. All their broadcasting is about the action. Not watching a couple of people in the studio read from a raceform!!!
  4. Well I think he said in his phone call that he didn't think they would go really wide today!
  5. The other thing to consider though is that they have changed the noms and acceptances timings for Monday races haven't they?
  6. Ok. But I bet you get an update from Flemington next Thursday.
  7. Yes they do or am I reading it wrong. Moonee Valley races on 1 November. 1 Day of nominations close [after nominations close] Nominations close Monday 28th October. 2 Day before acceptances close [after nominations close] Day before Acceptances 29th October 3 Day of acceptances close [before acceptances close] Acceptances close Wednesday 30th October. 4 Day before Race Day [after acceptances close] Day before Race day 31st October. 5 Race Day [after acceptances close] Race Day 1 November.
  8. This is for Moonee Valley today.
  9. This is Racing Victoria's policy:
  10. Sometimes you do for bigger meetings. What would be interesting is if they irrigated late this week. Surely more information is better especially if it is being collected anyway.
  11. But then what is the point of doing them for noms and acceptances? Surely they are doing measurements each day as part of their track management? Track reports seem to be getting more unreliable.
  12. NO updates since 8am Thursday 24th.
  13. On Trackside on the Mail Run.
  14. Only at selected (chosen) TAB agencies or pub outlets.
  15. Not sure these new form things are good or bad. I enjoyed peering over an endowed woman looking at the paper form stapled to the wall!
  16. Will get worse I fear unless some part of the organisation actually shows some kahuna's and as you say front foots. If it isn't sorted out now then good night nurse!
  17. Yes and now they have their staff fighting a rear guard action on Facebook in response to recent concerns raised about the Synthetic Tracks.
  18. I'm about to live stream Racing.com from Victoria.
  19. They haven't thought through the economics of it all. When you focus on Grandstands you forget what the core business is. I couldn't care less what the paint work or wall paper was like in the stand as long as my horse was racing and training on a decent track.
  20. Bounding was sold for $1.9m.
  21. The Guineas will be under pressure to move North anyway as the track is stuffed. Ellerslie will initially be the winner but I'm guessing those with top 3yr olds will cross the ditch rather than race there.
  22. Especially when Balcombe has already had 3 chances in direct roles to fix the Hastings problem!!!
  23. Are you joking? His track record isn't that great pun intended. Why is Hastings the way it is? Some of his recent COO decisions have been questionable.
  24. He mentioned "the we probably weighed in 2kg's heavy after the rain". With a downpour like that do the Jockey's clothes get heavier? If they do how does that work at weigh in?
