You really are a f wit if you believe that to be true. Case closed with you as you just dont get it and talk nonsense on this matter. Its your site and you now pass in my mind as a shock jock. McKenzie head hunted to sort out Addington massive cash losses and more latterly Original foods and thats only him . Suggest you look at Birnies background , oh in fact dont bother as you have already made up your mind Greg
-
I would think so as that's my reading of the situation. The organisation was way to top heavy when the current board took over and this is probably already being addressed but like all things employment related in NZ it takes lots of time to avoid unnecessary and costly PG's , something a few on here fail to understand with their utopian concept of change management Greg
-
Ill send you a PM to answer some of your questions when i get some time. Very busy with work at present. Greg
-
I'm not and see them as a complete waste of money from a CB perspective. To assist you AW's are a WP promise to his supporters with aid from PGF via Shane. RITA will have had little if any say on that but one would think NZTR would have input Greg
-
You love answering for others, i even stated my reply was to Kopia , whats a polite way of saying butt out . I ignore you most of the time because you talk a lot of biased rubbish IMHO and normally quote old stats. And before you rave about no half year report why bother as it would be largely irrelevant given Covid, just ask any NZX listed company analyst.Further look no further than above re facts . RITA only came into existence with effect from say November last year when they produced a budget and announced the departure of the total failure J Allen. Nobody or group at board level could realistically sort out the mess they inherited from NZRB with 12 months minimum. As you and others kept saying costs needed to be cut . Well , you all got what you wanted and now your all moaning because it effects you in some way. Track closures were carried out by the codes, not RITA, they decided who was going and where. I'm certain they would have had to make tough choices and trade offs to downsize the operation, eg no TAB Radio or higher stakes. What would Kopia and others prefer. Let the pros do their job WP appointed them for. Whinging for whinging's sake on here wont achieve anything. Ill give them 12 months till Christmas say to implement the changes they see as necessary to keep the place afloat and give stakeholders some certainty about distributions. Obviously you and a few others are impatient or simply dont understand how long it takes to restructure/downsize an oversized business. Greg
-
Cant blame him entirely for that. So much rubbish is posted on all of the social media sites Really bad when RITA took over and worsened as a result of Covid shutting down their income streams whilst saddled with heavy fixed costs They have , restructured employee levels, cut fixed and variable costs And No Chief , this is a reply to Kopia who im sure will have some comeback whereas you have major issues with RITA and its staff and thus cant see wood from trees Greg
-
Not everyone's down in the dumps?
-
But you always come back and start betting again. The tote divvies you refer to as pathetic are set by the punters . That is the way pari mutual totes operate globally. The more that punters put on the less the horse pays if it wins. Wrong way around Brodie if wagering drops then stakes money will eventually drop unless you had Glenda and co at the helm where you just prop things up with reserves or borrow funds Greg
-
You'll need to find a new payout recreation cos TAB wont be settling decent amounts with cash anymore. Get used to it Brodie, those days are well gone , a bit like cheques. And im sure they wont be bothered if you dont want to deal with them. They have to play with new rules such as AML and thus you do as well . Greg
-
Thanks, your a kind chap Ranga. Greg
-
Harsh Ranga but then again if you dont apply. ? How do you rate my latest performances? Greg
-
Dont hold your breath Brodie, look who appointed him and we all know what an outstanding chair he has been. Will he be on 300K plus and not work 5 days a week like the last guy. Greg
-
You obviously blind or just cant accept you might have it all wrong in places. Head in the sand type stuff. Surely reducing operating costs to stop continuing losses must have registered with you??. If not there is no hope for you in terms of constructive discussion I never thought of you as a socialist/communist- work for nothing. Now your really talking shit Ill leave you to your own dream world on this stuff. Greg
-
You tell us , you are the one moaning about salaries without a clue as to what current salaries are. All you do is rabbit on about previous salaries and bag individuals. Tell us what you think the CEO of RITA/NZTAB should be on? A lot of it is pure common sense. Costs have been cut as excess staff are let go.Venue numbers have been reduced and reset by the relevant codes so watch the balls up there as self interest will once again rule the roost. Look no further than the Southland comedy show re course allocation. I give RITA 8/10 thusfar for trying to carry out the impossible that being fixing decades of incompetence in a potential sunset industry. Greg
-
Do you want to bet about current RITA salaries , yes or no. Its quite simple really. Stop whinging about things that happened in the past that cant be reversed. You dont moan about the just departed CEO of HRNZ salary and work package. 300K plus, plus etc and that is no reflection on him from me.. Any chance you and others with some semblance of intelligence focusing on the future however bleak it looks. Whats HRNZ doing to promote its sport,5/8ths of F all from what ive seen in last few years Greg
-
Probably so but as a result of not being to be able to actually meet candidates face to face or not having any suitable candidates. Greg
-
You cant and i'll bet you a K or 2 their is no one on anywhere near 500K at RITA now. Stop repeating the salaries of days gone by as if they are somehow relevant. The CFO and CEO from the now defunct NZRB are gone and hence salary bill will be a whole lot lower as a result of a refined business structure under RITA board. Greg
-
Everyone knows someone who knows something- you are a living example of that Are you saying that is not factual about a new board? Correct, i do not think they should be held responsible for the stupidity of previous boards and management. As i have alluded to numerous times , the head count was way too high and the cost to run business even more so. everyone knew that was the case and the reason WP made changes. Now the new CEO and Board have begun to address those issues .Problem is now some say its not fair to close our course down.
-
How would i know , your the McKenzie RITA troll , not me , i just like to introduce the odd fact and balance. Greg
-
Probably because you dont have any Greg
-
Thanks for the great back down , a true keyboard warrior, keen to bag others in higher positions whilst remaining anonymous. Your another one of those real heros of social media IMHO Greg
-
See below And right on cue up he comes, thats obsession. Dont you think its time you moved on Chief Greg
-
Perhaps he just doesn't suffer fools or gives answers that are not in agreement your ideas on things. For a guy who turned around WRC and NZMTC as CEO your last part is the funniest, were those boards who appointed him no good either?. Can you update us on your CEO experience/achievements so we can compare. Greg
-
Because some are obsessed about him and his past? Greg
-
Yes to salary reductions and who knows as to what anyone's' true value is as its a subjective thing. PS, stop going on about Allen , he and his former Chairperson are gone . Its a new ball game under RITA and time will tell how they managed the business in the new environment we find our self in. I get that people want to moan and blame someone or some thing but the racing world has changed dramatically world wide in the last few years as its popularity declines. So much more competition for peoples time and disposable income. Shit , Stuff even has a millennials reporter. Greg Greg
