  1. You can watch/listen to all races on TAB website, either by phone or PC. Something the vast majority of people own and use on a regular basis If you cant afford Sky then should you be actually betting as it only costs about 30 a month? Greg
  2. In my experience HR restructurings are always slow. Due process has to be followed and usually some have expectations way beyond the scope of the organisation in terms of salary and titles etc That said , you are perfectly entitled to a contrary opinion. In fact, im amazed you have not attracted more support on here for your views. In the interim we just have to await the outcome. Greg
  3. It would be a C/B analysis. Nothing to do with ratios. Either way impossible to accurately determine outcome given all the other changes that have been introduced in last 8 months IMHO. Greg
  4. Correction to the above, i previously had a guess that 3 would lose their positions. As such old management team would be downsized from current 7 to 4 .Only time will tell if i was close or you and the skeptics were correct and that their would be no redundancies at top level. Greg
  5. I did see somewhere a while back where the cost was 3mio plus to operate . At a time when everyone was screaming for cost cuts at NZRB something had to give. Greg
  6. I was wondering when you would see that directive from HRNZ and light up "WHIP AND REIN REGULATIONS On20thAugust 2020, the Board of Harness Racing New Zealand approved the new Whip and Rein Regulations,effective1stOctober 2020.After a number of discussions over the last 12 months with a working group comprising the North Island and South Island Trainers and Drivers’ representatives,Brodie, RIU, JCA, HRNZ management and Board members,it was decided to mirror the new Australian whip rules in our updated Whip and Rein Regulations. These Regulations take into consideration the welfare of the horse which is paramount, and reflects the need to maintain our social license. Additionally, having the same rules in both New Zealand and Australia will make the transition between countries for drivers far easier. The new Whip and Rein Regulations are attached. P Holden CEO
  7. Or it might just be that on a cost /benefit basis it did not stack up. 🤔 Greg
  8. Very sensible post Greg
  9. The club are obviously happy to retain his services then Greg
  10. I was told a while back that Cash club is on borrowed time Basil. Quite a bit of debt on the balance sheet and a flawed business model by all accounts Given how many have gone under in Christchurch no one should be surprised. Greg
  11. I could be wrong Brodie , and if i am plenty will tell me so, but the starter is employed by the clubs not HRNZ so has nothing to do with Holden. That said i am of the belief that: he should be either a starter or and RIU employee but not both as there is a potential conflict of interest between the two positions. Greg
  12. Im very happy with it and thats all that really counts Greg
  13. Given i never saw it please do. Thats your Happy ,Whippitout and Brain deads opinion, so cant be taken as gospel. But like Cindy if you and the dogs say it often enough others may think its actually true. I just get bored arguing with you as I find you arrogant and to have a superior always right attitude. Good job you pulled your meltdown thread, wise move and congrats for getting that right . Im pleased about that as i wont offer again. Lets see how far you go with your free speech motto on here. Its clear your refusal to let me use the PM function is not in keeping with your ideals
  14. Now in the care of M Kerr but must be on borrowed time Race 7 A bit of noise down south about the chances of Miss Mucho Race 8 Tony the Pony , change of stables although not notified that i can see, now with Dunns Good punting everyone and well done Happy Greg
  15. Thanks Brodie as you recognize that other points of views and opinions are just as valuable as your own. You mentioned Meadowlands and i could say the same about Red Mile crowd. The latter has a casino which seemed to be doing ok ,sound familiar? Greg
  16. Would not call it infatuation, just the greatest respect for what they achieve for their owners. Plus , i love to punt their horses knowing full well they are trying every time they front up. Thats not to say they win all the time but their UDR suggests that im on the right track which is confirmed by my Account balance. You and a few others on here like to bet on those paying enlarged odds and which are usually racing on grass tracks. Cant disagree with your preference but its just not my idea of investing. Isnt it great that we dont all agree , that really would be boring IMHO Greg
  17. And its the same globally where Harness is concerned Brodie. Not even a lot of the owners bother to attend so why should you when you get superb trackside coverage from the comfort of home or the local. Just my thoughts. Greg
  18. Love it Basil , your on the money again but your probably wasting your time saying what you do🤢 Greg
  19. No idea at this stage who will win Cup Surely you jest with the Your Boys bit as i have no association with the stable other than knowing a few of their owners. You know their the ones that are paying the bills to put the show on. Do you have any issues with that? Results say they are the best, they accumulate the best stock so will no doubt be a force as usual come Cup week. Greg
  20. Just for you Chief, albeit that like most things it will never be enough for you. Read this Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT).Its about the length of war and peace but you seem to have plenty of spare time by the looks of it. PS , can you send me your phone or email address, now that you have taken away my PM function i am not able to help you like i did when you had your meltdown about outing all your secret stuff about other channel. Wisely and possibly after my PM advice you pulled that thread as no good was ever going to come from your suggested option IMHO. No law fees either. Please fell free to have the last say on the AML matter. If you cant get it then im not wasting my time on it with you any further Greg
  21. AML not likely to be high on the list of reasons Brodie. A few of the bigger players i know gave up after the Nelson INCA race whilst others got the stitch over continual bad press, associated integrity issues and poor governance at the top table . Sad but true. TB"s clean sheet so to speak has seen them hold their own and attract some new participants. One only has to look at the momentum of BGP and their impact on turnover. Greg
  22. The previous management team agreed to it after consultations with DIA. As i posted earlier its the law despite what some think. Personally i think 10K would be a more reasonable amount but that's not happening at this stage. Greg
  23. I was helping out someone at the time of its removal You clearly are not going to and simply trolling every post i make so dont worry about it . As for your earlier challenge when i was responding to Brodies post , note Brodie not you " 1 August 2019 From 1 August 2019 customers of the TAB who want to bet or collect $1,000 or more at a TAB site or at a race meeting will be required by law to verify themselves using their TAB account or ‘Punters Pass’ - a card the TAB issues to customers who use cash and have had their identity previously verified. The Punters Pass is one of a range of systems and processes the TAB has put in place to comply with legislative changes to the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT). “Over the past twelve months the TAB has been working hard to understand where our risks of money laundering are, in preparation for meeting the requirements of the new legislation,” says TAB General Manager Customer Gary Woodham.
  24. Correct, i am multi coded , i hope your ok with that. You sum yourself up well , thats probably why you and Leo get on so well. Shit hes saying more or less what you are on certain matters of late and vice versa Are you going to give me back my PM function or are you being mean and holding back. Greg
  25. Perception and reality are not good bedfellows where the media are concerned or are you really that naive. Go away and have a cuppa and a lie down Greg
