And the winner is the law firms cos these things have a way of making it to their premises. Moving on is a wise cost effective option whilst one upmanship/re-litigation of old wounds is usually the opposite. Greg

Great and smart gesture by the owners to reward their full time staff The 50% clearance in book 1 might suggest they over value their offerings. Mind you WS were at pains to quickly point out via the auctioneer that a Savabeel they prepared which was passed in at 600K was not one of theirs but on account of a client who set the reserve Greg

From your repetitive posts i think we all know your thoughts on the All Stars barn However even you would have to concede that they don't win all the big races and don't even compete in many other races throughout the country. Yes, they target major carnivals as that's what they are very good at and what there owners want in return for the capital they outlay. The demise of Harness racing , in fact all NZ racing is not due to Purdon or any one single entity . I suggest you think outside the box you are trapped in, racing is not what it used to be and probably never will be like that again, too much competition in terms of time and money elsewhere. Greg

Lazarus was his undoing, shame when good horses run into one better all the time. You have to wonder why it was sold in the first place as all its done is improve since it was exported.
-
I hope so as they are a great stable and their results speak for themselves over a long period?
-
Buggered stand start up again and being first run in 6 weeks was driven conservatively thereafter. Went ok given they ran 56.2 and 26.7.
-
Even easier to pick losers dont you think!!!? I do like Tact Maggie today at Wyndham F/F at 1.75 place. Good field though and her stand manners are all that is holding me back from have a decent crack to win as well
-
You can post as many opinions on here as you like, wont bother me so your post is pathetic to say the least. You should stick to selecting horses although your not having much luck at the latter of late, i hope things turn around for you soon. ?
-
Your first name has been used on here on many occasions, that's how i knew what it is. No privacy rules have been broken in my post, if you think so complain to the Chief who can adjudicate. Keep up the attacks on All Stars and Darksiders if that's what spins your wheels. Not likely to bother me either way.

Agreed, It was a very poor effort by both horses based on their previous records Newmarket I suspect no one on here, including myself, has any idea if they received any legal treatment since they last raced. Given a certain blood treatment is advertised widely and it is available to any stable your observation has little merit given the treatment is non notifiable in NZ I recall a RIU official saying that Purdon barn would be the most tested of all Harness stables in NZ. Highly likely given how often they win. I repeat my earlier thought, congrats to the winner and i hope the 2 beaten mares are ok and bounce back to their ratings as quickly as possible, they are after all not machines. Greg

I would have thought with comments like these you are sailing very close to the wind in terms of Defamation, notably libel Are you brave enough to say it to their faces though Peter?????? Greg
-
Also, why would they pull them up????????? Both went too bad to be true so i hope they pull up good and continue to reward their connections. Congrats to the winners also in that race. Who said the All Stars win everything. quite a few moan when they win and now some are moaning cos they got beaten. ?

The trifecta in the 2yr old race seems to contradict your theory?

Likewise ,if you lose money you must surely be entitled to a refund. Re CGT, the devil as always will be in the detail Kopia

Its historically been that way Freda, many buyers either dont understand the Northern Hemisphere bloodlines or cant positively market them to their clients. A case in point was a Saddlers Wells filly that was bred to southern Hemisphere time a few years back. At a time when SW's were going gang busters not one bid was offered for the NZ one and it was good in term of confirmation.

With the greatest respect Mark , no one makes you purchase shares in TA horses yet all NZ racegoers and trackside viewers get the benefit of DE taking all the risks to provide a local betting product. Its him who signs for them , him who pays all their staff and him who takes all the risks. If he does not buy 40 horses then someone else has to or else studs and NZB are worse off in terms of revenue. Surely that it not good for NZ racing ???? Your argument that stakes at top end needs to be increased to cater for high priced yearlings is not backed up by facts. Most of NZ's bigger races have seen stakes decline over the last decade in both real and nominal terms. example Kelt was worth a million and its now worth a fraction of that. NZ's highest staked WFA sits at a pitiful 400K Race meetings all over the racing world offer run of the mill races at lower stakes levels to cater for lesser achievers., its a world wide phenomena. No where do i even enter or raise the issue of stakes rising in the future, that's a completely separate discussion.

No, like most horses it was more than likely named by the breeder.

It wasn't a poor sale if you listen to all the NZB and Te Akau blurb. I'm with you Freda, based on numbers it was a poor sale and a serious level below recent overseas sales notably MM. The numbers say it all , lower median at 100K,poor clearance rate at 77% cf MM 90%.Congrats to new owner of Cambridge who sold 100% and Waikato who blitzed the sale in most categories. Te Akau was leading buyer for 14th successive year. they are truly great for NZ racing industry and if you doubt that then you are seriously deluded. Only 2 NZ based stallions in Top 10 by average.

Strange reply telling me i dont get it after you post that ive been slagging this site and some of its posters for 6 months on Racecafe when factually my first post was on Novemeber 18 2018 and its 30th January today . Hunter admitted he got me all wrong after attacking me , if your any sort of person you would now do the same. You really do need to get over the RC thing or are you one of those types who cant let go and has to re-litigate any issue ad infinitum.
-
Incorrect about slagging off this site I have made a total of 15 RC posts since i joined it in November 18 2018. They are there for everyone to see under my banner I did make mention about Brodie after he had a meltdown about whip use but only to the extent that he did not seem to realise that RIU are there to enforce rules that HRNZ make so blaming RIU is hardly relevant Other than that your comment is way off line. I find all this anti RC and BOAY stuff from both sides incredibly boring and have said so on both Sites, One could easily accuse you of constantly bagging RC on a regular basis, as such you might just be a hypocrite Either way , ill keep posting on things i have something to say about and you and your followers can carry on attacking all and sundry on RC and trying to work out who is who when ever someone new arrives on BOAY Greg
-
Who exactly are you referring to here in respect of the troll comment. Are they those who have a different opinion to you and a few others who seem obsessed with RC. You really do need to get over it given this site has been in operation for over a year. Greg
-
Its Doug's site , he owns it and he pays for it, He stated from the start what the rules are so why should anything change.Hes right when he says about how those that left the other site are now asking him to do the same to some contributors- you cant have it both ways Joe Pete,Weasal IMHO. Greg
