this is the man who was destined to become NZ's best trainer ,from memory...apparentley 8 out of 10 of NZ's top owners had horses with him! Still couldn't make the top 100. One individual I spoke to ,said he had a promising 2 y.o that beat the Vespa and was a stakes performer and was crucified by this mug in his quest for glory.Campaigned everywhere,Nth,Sth,heavy track,firm,fast,slow.you name it..it would never ever run faster!

Don't forget to give the new man a 'chance'...about 15 years ago NZ racing had some pom arrive here who was going to make NZ Racing the envy of..the world! A fantastic gravy train is NZTR and the whole game in general. All the money Winston got for the industry years ago was gobbled up in OPEX...there will be no tote racing in NZ in 2030. -
a profitable business with a viable plan ,should not need Govt leg ups..at least that's supposedly how the 'free market' works!

the NZ TAB is doomed ..it is inevitable that it will be devoured by an aussie corporate. There will be many over paid ,very average current employees in the ..dole queue.

any viable track needs to construct a lease to a separate entity ,preferably quite a long term one and deal with any ramifications on the basis of that.
