  1. Violence ? elbowing ? Crimes committed ? Battering rams ? just another day at the races lol. Thomass needs to follow a more 'Gentle' sport . for his own sanity. She's a rough and Tumble game. As Murray has said here , you need an ambulance in attendance before anyone can go to work. Pushing out in races has happened ( for centuriee nearly) Is part of what most would expect in a race ? . I've had wheels and legs jammed under my horse that many times from inside runners that it's like rush hour on the Auckland M1,( but with less stack up's) because the fearless combatants can take a bit of 'Battering rams' and go with the flow. Alas in this case Win Pinn decided to lean back in and not go with the flow at al , causing the incident . a few elbows out for balance and that , but Violence ?? No way. just riders trying to get to the post in best possible position . The young lady possibly coming out a bit too hard, but like Chief says it's a pretty heavy animal at 500kg , and sometimes they react sharply , and are indeed great battering Rams ! they love it too. 😎🏇👍 So the Stipes dished out the penalties as they see fit . Racing incident with errors made in the heat of battle. No Need to get the Police involved 😂
  2. Sometimes you have to have faith. That officials at ANY Sport can make decisions based on what they see. I like a lot of your ideas , but you are a fraction to pedantic. (Nothing wrong with being Pedantic as you get more results in your favour that way , whatever you might be tackling , like Fishing for example lol 😆🤣) Horses and drivers do funny things in races. Stewards have to make sense of it , BUT They CANNOT tell you how to drive your horse. Drivers still make split second decisions , horses make bad errors , and vice versa ) things happen. Case 1/ I argued the driverless horse case at Hawera with you , over which we had differing views. The stewards probably even had a view different to BOTH of us . It's just the way it is . You wanted drivers suspended in that particular case. I didn't , as they were juniors and a driverless horse does Weird and wonderful things. Leeway is needed . and the race should of been called off to like a subscriber here pointed out . NoworNever I think it was. CASE 2/ Not of interest to anyone except you Mr Galah , as you would remember this handy NZ horse named HOT and TREACHEROUS. he raced last Saturday night Albion at Long odds, against the FFA top class horses. And the driver went a bit 'Ballistic ' and tried to leave the hot favourite SPEAK THE TRUTH out 3 wide , and then tried to cross the leader not long after. A terrible effort as no way would that horse be giving him the lead. Anyway , The Classy 'Speak The Truth' ( a miracle Mile placegetter and started in the Slot races at Cambridge once he's that good) powered to an easy Victory . The Mug driver of Hot and Treacherous was quizzed as to his driving tactics by stewards. I thought his drive was quite ordinary at the time . Livingstone doesn't drive much at all though. and he was having a Go. to Win the race. And what could stipes do ?? suspend him for having a go ?? He tried to beat them , what you're spose to do . Didn't go about it as you might like as was shown to be futile against quality opponents. Anyway they didn't suspend him , and I can only imagine when quizzed he just said I was trying to lead and win . About 1 hour ago at our Tuesday Albion meet , we now run FFA stands for the old boys who can't keep up Saturday nights. to give them a race they can still win. Old TURN IT UP won one of these last month bless him. what a trooper he is. today, HOT and Treacherous in the stand FFA off 30m handicap ran a great 2nd , and paid $6 the place (starting 30-1) and Livingstone drove him beautifully and all but beat the hot favourite that he did head off for a few strides. well done to them. Each race is different , and looked at differently. Is quite funny for getting quizzed for having a go. Or not having a Go . But in the end the Stipes Can't tell them how to drive........ and the public has to accept that too. Case 3/ Lack of vigour things just happen in your Big silly fields in NZ . If you're last at the 1/4 in those Big 14 horse fields , why be vigorous ? you're NO HOPE of getting any of the money. might as well wait till next time and still have a horse lol... thankfully in Oz the 6-10 horse fields mean everyone can have a Go Everytime and lack of vigour not an issue at all.
  3. well you have to have 2 yearold races at some stage Brodster. 8 youngsters went around in 2 heats at Pukekohe today. They went about 2 minutes to 2.01 so pretty good on that track. They Were a bit strung out though . But hopefully the programmer will give them a race soon. There are 2 scratchings in the Addington race , so you're being unfair on the Programmer , who is not going to pick that would happen. was spose to be 5 starters. Why accept for a race then scratch? trainers should be fined for that sort of rubbish lol 😉😂 Hey the Two (2) x maiden races are being run for 15k in races 7 and 8 straight after the 2 yearolds on Thursday. So is that the prize you thinking the 2 year-olds should run for instead of 17k that is programmed ? you're probably right. I'd only run ALL maidens for $9k races if I was doing it lol 🤣😎 save a few bucks that way. wouldn't be too popular with a trainers and owners though lol. 😆 they'd get used to it quick enough though and actually try and win a race to get better prizemoney when better rating. that's the way to do it.
  4. You could question every driver , every race about their tactics/ improvement or whatever. In the end there is just one winner. we have very few problems around Australia as the field size is a sensible 9-10 in every state , therefore they all get a chance in a race and you can't 'cover up' 'drive quiet' or 'keep for next time' like they do in the silly 12- 14 horse races of yesteryear. Where it's VERY easy to get your horse beat. Stewards in Aus will just look for one of Brodies big bet moves , and assess whether there were accomplices in helping the punted horse land the prize. Doesn't happen very often thankfully , there were some in country Victoria a while back with family members 'helping each other' out. and There was a DQed former leading trainer did want to put $3000 on a horse a few years ago here in Queensland, which resulted in the leading Trainer Vicki Rasmussen (Vicki never recovered and just races 2 horses she owns herself now after that year out) and leading driver Shane Graham. getting very long DQ's . People wanting to put Big bets on = are nothing but trouble lol 😆🤣
  5. yes they are treated as Important. Nigel with his regular people syndicates has 3 or 4 horses at the Dunn's stable. So gets some Wins. They seem like nice small time folk. Allstars and Roy and BarryP . unfortunately were a BIT Too GOOD . therefore just the millionaires get a look in , as pay top dollar for horses and top dollar for training. ( Dixon stable and Pete MCMullen are very dominant in Brisbane as have 4 Millionaire owners each , and near 100 horses between them , so they Dominate the Metro racing Landscape for the same reasons) All my mates can't compete with that very well so go round and round at Redcliffe. Although one did sneak into town and win the Open Mares race last Saturday night . so that was nice. NZ will have to do the same as Emma Stewart and the LEE Stable Mr Galah . which is have Syndicates race with as near to the top barns as you can find. KEAYANG ZAHARA is part of the Margaret LEE camp , and they are out in the Bush and look after a LOT of Normal people. (AS in Not All are Super Rich ) How good is that !! Here's Keayang Zahara with some of her connections. She'll be winning the TAB Trot at Cambridge very soon . and has lots of Normal people in the ownership Syndicate. So there you go !! The Best trotter around and money not in the Millionaires pocket ? . How cool !! she earned a half million dollar bonus for something the other night at Melton too, to split up between them . so Some might be on the road to being the millionaire elite now ? 😎💰😉 Whatta great Sport we Have !!!! best sport on the planet for regular people involvement. If you let them.
  6. nearly accurate. I think for a long time the features have Mainly gone to the Mega-rich for decades. Even Roy and Barry's owners were the 'elite' back in the day. All of Allstars owners Megarich for their whole decade of success (like Lazarus owners Kennards and that) , a few Aussies amongst them like Mre Feiss from Victoria with a few good horses like Self Assured , etc and the Butterworths. Merv Butterworth even so blessed he had Copy That as well with Ray Green . The Canadian TANev bloke (with all the Aaardie horses ) has a few Big wins around the place. Stonewall and Breckon obviously , and now Shannon , Boots and Seymour and Mick Harvey who has Kingman are sending horses to NZ and winning the Big ones. Interestingly Mick Boots , who won his 2nd Hunter Cup the other night to go with the 2 NZ Cups of Swayzee , is really invested now , and the amazing Brittany Graham interviewing him was mentioning how he is gone right into it now like Seymour , and breeding some as well . not just buying horses like The Falcon for example, or yearlings. And is using way more than the 17 trainers now , and is up over 30 trainers winning races with his horses now . !! What support that is to the Participants !! that is amazing . as he gets good quality stock to a lot of small time trainers. even with young Gemma Hewitt at Albion winning for him the other night, just one example. Actually I was surprised the other night at Albion , when Grant Dixon told me that Seymour DIDn't Breed Leap To Fame himself. I was very surprised. Most of his horses are bred by himself and Kay at their stud. Instead, Grant said he and his wife Trista went to the Sydney Yearling sale and picked it (LTF) out for the Seymours themselves , and paid just $42,000 for him . Bit of a Bargain ? lol 😂🤣💰 not a bad purchase at all lol. He's over $5,000,000 in earnings now I think.
  7. yes it has been great enjoying the sport with you blokes over a few years since Covid now. Was just hoping your enjoyment of the sport could be refreshed and some bright spots appear. I don't think the CEO saying everything is going down the toilet is Not the solution for anything. lol 😎 any company CEO The many new Changes are still mixed with the old ones , and we all have ideas what works best and what doesn't , but all the ideas are not going to match . you guys still like big fields on the grass for example (and standing starts which I would do away with altogether ) for example. You guys are quite intelligent and say what you would like to happen on occasion, as well as conflicting with what is happening in NZ harness. Brodie always worried for the stakes money drop in 2 years time. I guess he is not accepting that should and will happen with lower participation levels and much smaller betting making it going to happen. But you have to adapt as the trainers all around Australia did. (regular racing over short distances to earn the smaller prize- money to pay your way.) a sure way to help them earn some income. As I mentioned previously even the slowest horses can still win 4 races per year withe the current rating system and pay their way. Which is a good thing) ) Smaller 8 horse fields ARE the answer too (like USA) as it means that a horse should be winning Once every 8 starts. This is SO Important these days .It works all around Australia and USA , and no reason it wouldn't work in NZ. So you Have regular Winning horses, Winning owners and winning Trainers to all stay interested in the sport. The 'Pool of Drivers' does drop off dramatically though. so is certainly one loss. Brodie often mentions the Big Bets too . That the betting agencies should take them . To help the situation out a bit. Sounds like a good idea if that was to work. they take big bets on footy and gallops and that. I loved your idea of with the FORBURY PARK Sale money developing a track facility in Canterbury , complete with Stabling barns for the young horsepeople of today to still get a look in , and top facilities (with swimming etc) to be able to compete with those vastly experienced top quality trainers all around our countries. Young NZer Jack Trainor took advantage of that opportunity provided at Menangle and really went well. (along with his mate Grimson) This is probably what the North Island Needs as well. You mentioned the Struggling Victoria. Yes !!! the stakes was Ludicrously small for our annual feature Hunter CuP last night. Swayzee only got 150k winning I think 🙄, for our feature 'NZ Cup equivalent 'race. So Brodie is right . The prizemoney will drop in NZ as well eventually. Victoria only recently 'Bailed out ' by the state Government . as were $66 mill in debt. They got 100 mill for land and to fund the next 2 years of racing for the whole state. back to losing after that it would seem until the next adjustment is made. Something Auckland trotting tried to do too as are many millions behind ? Sell some land. but no-one bought the land yet ? think the Government should buy it ? that's the best way. they could help participants then. QLD Government were thinking of buying Albion Park too for the Olympics 2032. But its a crap place on a creek and floods now and then, so Very hard to develop. so why buy it? . we've been lucky over the years to continue . Seymour (Leap To Fame owner) saved the day (Albion Park racing) a few times over the years Gold Coast trotting Club went extinct 😭, as the Government did buy their beautiful Gold Coast facility for the Commonwealth Games there a few years ago. developed the site for an athletes village. so Gold Coast trotting died altogether without a track . our 4th major track closure in my time in QLD . just 3 are left now. I'll bet they collapse in QLD before NZ does. we recently had Chris Garrard pass away and when Seymour is gone (he's very old now) there will be huge drop off of Benefactors of the sport. where-as You guys have wonderful people keeping you going , and you don't seem to appreciate it. (Which is why I argue back against you and Brodie bagging the men actually trying things, to try and keep behind the sport ) I don't expect these men to Jump up and say ''things are bad ' as you might like from us fools lol. As long as the sport is running = well things are Good (in some folks opinion) 🙂 just opened curtains , and it's raining here today 😂 Haleluhah !! been dry as a dogs biscuit these parts. good now.
  8. You 2 old boys have really drawn the Curtains and Pulled down the Blinds on your view of NZ harness racing. And trying to Board up the windows as well lol. No wonder no-one talks to you anymore here. Do you seriously expect the CEO or HRNZ or anyone to be disappointed in and back your Shocking judgements of every aspect of the sport ? They Can't Do That. It's their job to put a Racing product on for the participants. Calling everyone 'Fools' 10 times solves nothing Mr Galah. Let's have a look at why they say The Sport is never Been better. Get some Optimism going maties . Pull that Blind up and remove your deafeners !! (I think they're glued in with you 2 though ) 😂😋😉 1/ Fabulous racing all year round. Amazing concepts like the November Slot races, The Cambridge Million Betcha and TAB trot attracting the best horses in the world nearly the past 2 years. HRNZ ONLY have to put in a Small portion of the prizes pool so the BIG-time racing is on the cusp of being 'Self Sufficient ' excellent stuff !! 2/ The NZ CUP racing for a great purse with the Aussie involvement through the ceiling now . because the racing is doing so well in NZ . The last 2 Dominion trots have been fantastic. ( I guess that makes up for NZ not running the Interdominion anymore ) 3/ The yearlings Prices are amazing . Stonewall bought 2 yearlings a year ago for NZ record Prices . $360,000 each I think it was. The breeders will be smiling at this like real estate agents lol. 4/ The Golden Gait concept at Auckland is amazing with people like Unhinged Nigel for example winning them with his syndicates and getting good reward for their Input to the industry and participation . Like wise the recent Ashburton 5000 concept saw normal rated horses winning $60,000 races for normal grass roots participants. How good was that. The millionaires have enough races put on for them like the harness millions etc. 5/ BIG time Aussie owners like Boots and Shannon have taken over where Mark Purdon's left off , and are supporting the trainers with a stack of purchases at your yearling sales, 6/ GUS and Muscle Mountain are trotting at an amazing level, showing NZ bred trotters are near best on the planet. There are ways to expand on that by running More Trotting races. Wait on . Auckland already do !! for Bernie Hackett, Dr Chin, Balle, McGowan and other fantastic trotter trainers in the North . Well done ATC. 7/ The horses are going blistering times . Because the Trainers are the best around. Dunn's , Telfers, Cullins ,Dalgety and the Masters themselves the 3 brothers/in law = BarryP and MarkP and Tony H STILL training and WINNING after all these 5 decades. The best in the World still Representing your Amazing Sport . So HOW Lucky are you guys to Have them ? 8/ New Zealand Very Abily represented last night at Melton Victoria on our Biggest night of the year at the Hunter Cup. NOOO . Not by Mick Guiren (who droned on like a man in a asylum lol 😂😋 that no-one could understand) But by Republican Party, Captain's Mistress and Chase A Dream storming into the money showing GOOD the kiwis really are . (and people could bet on them too 👍) how is there anything to complain about . and you Expect the CEO to say things are going Bad. 😂🤣😁 Adapt and pull up your blinds and open the curtains , and enjoy the sunshine boys. try and enjoy the sport. better than tiddly winks the Chief was trying to sell someone lol 😂 Amazing Horses, Amazing Horse people, Amazing races. Heaps more coming up soon too. have a good Sunday. ( get the Mrs to open the curtains or something lol ) 😁😉
  9. no ya nong, he's the current voted 2025 Longines WORLD"s BEST JOCKEY. for the 3rd time. he ain't crying none. Who the hell wants him on the sidelines? when some of the best horses in the world were awaiting his talent today (Joliestar and Autumn Glory ) that he rode to easy victories with his fine talent. It's only YOU Bawling your eyes out all the time Thommo, like a big baby about whip strikes. wah wah wah . 😭 Its a bloody 500kg animal mate. you ain't gunna hurt the bastard with a floppy little hand whip. I've been whacked by whips from other drivers during a race . it just stuns you into action if anything. just like it does for the horse. gets your concentration up a bit. Some blokes need it in the bedroom too 🤭😉😎
  10. Don't worry about those Tipsters Mr Galah. they couldn't care what comes in really unless they have a vested interest in the horse . just the same as most folk around. Anyway , best stick to the South Island where the skies are bluer and the grass is greener for horses and Punters lol. Addington away soon . looking at some Last Start Winners. Let's See if these horses are capable of scoring a double ?? Two wins in a row to win todays Multi 👍💰 A very hard feat to achieve but we'll see if any are capable lol . Race 1 has Four last start winners so we'll leave that out , and go for races 2 to 8 inclusive. Race 9 has 3 of the trotters that won last time so we'll skip that too. Race 2/ He Ain't Fakin $3.40 , Race 3/ Scottlyn Crunch $3.60, Race 4/ Ukraine $1.75 , Race 5/ Warrior Chief $6.50, Race 6/ Pinseeker $1.55, Race 7/ Mr Love $2.10, Race 8/ General Gen $5.00 Taken a few trebles with this lot to Go 2 on the Bounce, and along with the 7 SPOT Multi for all 7 to win is worth $2265-1 . Hope they can all double down on their last starts victories !! lol 😁🍻💰
  11. should try for it anyway. Lead and won the race last year. seems a winning formula to try again. The 2 New Zealanders were drawn one and two and were very close at the post too ( beaten a metre or 2 only) on that occasion. so maybe Republican Party can make up for that narrow miss last year? , and take Victory this time ? sitting behind the leader. I hope so .Carter is making a great go of it with this horse lately and would love to see him take it out. Kingman was quite extraordinary in the huge Victoria Cup, NZ Cup , Christian Cullen treble late 2025 . phenomenal wins . we are truly' spoilt for good horses these days. can't write him off as a chance as you mentioned.
  12. yes a scintillating run off the Lead. Out in 27 to lead , then a pedestrian 30 . then quarters of 26 and 26 to win well. A very quick last half mile ! with The Janitor sitting outside him and getting beat only a head after circling the field. Miracle Mile winner Don Hugo was 3 lengths away couldn't get near them. Pete said he'll win the NZ Cup with THE JANITOR this year , and win the trot with GUS again in Cup week too. so that will be interesting lol. can't wait to see if that happens lol. They are 6-1 and 3-1 for the July Interdominion Grand Finals at Albion . Big year for Pete McMullen if he can win any one of those. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🍻 Latest 2026 Miracle Mile odds on Sportsbet are (will be a 8 horse invitational final field early March ) Leap to Fame $3.50, Rakero Rocket $4.00, Kingman $4.50, Swayzee $8.00, Don Hugo $9.00, Captain's Mistress $9.00, Hi ManameisJeff and The Janitor both at 15-1 (even after that big Albion mile quinella 😅 ) and New Zealanders 'Republican Party' and 'Pinseeker' both are 21-1 . it's a tough lot to beat lol 😂💰
  13. Leap To Fame only 4 starts at Menangle in the past 2 -3 years. for 2 x wins and 2 x 2nds . Hi MaNameisJeff is a 'Menangle star' as you suggest. just on 2 years ago he was equal Favourite with Leap To Fame in the Miracle Mile after winning his 8 lead up races to that event . he got the speed wobbles however and broke, so Leap To Fame sat parked out and won in 1.48.3. . since that night 2 years ago Hi MaNameisJeff has had issues and only 12 more race starts . which included 5 more Menangle wins and a big Group 1 Albion Park QLD win too, where he ran 1.49.3 just two months ago defeating our 2nd best horse (The Janitor) . last week he ran 1.49.3 as well . Leap To Fame ran 1.48.4 Parked out in last years Miracle Mile when 2nd to Don Hugo . 'Jeff ' might be a second slower than that these days ?? so might finish 10m behind them I'm guessing next month ?. (Miracle Mile is nearly always a 1.48 event for the very best around. ) As you say his NZ mare Captain's Mistress is absolutely air-borne . She might make the field and Win it too !! she can go 1.48 I reckon and be very hard to beat . Yes indeed , McCarthy's mare named EYE KEEP SMILING is indeed our very best mare with a very creditable 28 wins from 42 starts and near a million won. best win time of 1.49.3 . so won't make a Miracle Mile field though. and got left many lengths behind by 'Captain's Mistress' , who automatically takes up the Queen of the track now after that thumping win you just described here from last week.
  14. Pinseeker already popped into Menangle for one race old mate. A win last June. only in 1.52 though. Another NZer ran 2n actually with Bob Butt driving . 'Better than Cash'. still NZ owned I think. BetterThanCash has won 3 races since then, with Cam Hart and Will Rixon driving from his 8 Menangle starts. 2 x 1.50 wins included. But was 'Shredded ' like wheat trying to take on our BIG guns at Albion Park . 0 placings from 6 attempts. the last 2 runs for BetterThanCash At the Beginning of Summer (early Dec) he was 10 lengths behind Hi MaNameisJeff and The Janitor in the 'Sunshine Sprint' mile in 1.49 and a week later 7 lengths behind Don Hugo, Leap To Fame and The Janitor. who were all in the photo finish for first. the 'Cash' horse NOT sighted since. probably blew a gasket or something ? 🤣🤣😋 Pinseeker likely to get the same treatment (of a flogging) from our locals too lol 😉💪 we go faster and Bigger at Brisbane than Menangle does these days days Mr Galah. it's just scary how quick. we had a 1.50 winning 2 yearold recently even. 🙄 Captains Mistress going super fast now. Has a Mortgage on the Big Group 1 Mares races on very soon . some are worth over $200k. But in fairness to Nathan Williamson in NZ , the previous trainer. He had her going super too and was going to win the Group 1 at Auckland , before the sulky' fell to bits and he got hurt. So he's no amateur .
  15. Swayzee was in his homestate NSW trying to win the Carnival of Cups last season. worth a $Million for 5 wins. He picked up $1/2 million as won 4 of them at Parkes, Young, Tamworth and Penrith , but was defeated by 'Captain Hammerhead' at Albury in the Murray Cup, to deny him the full amount of 1mill. I'm sure the clubs would of all shared the insurance Premium against anyone achieving that huge feat, between them. The Carnival of Cups co-exists with huge shows and Music acts on the same weekend in those towns , when large amounts of people are in town. Aus has mountains of 'Grey Nomads' lol 🤣 I think you're right, that the HRV (Harness racing Victoris) who are struggling Big-time financially, shouldn't be running any Cups bonus at all . Especially in Big races where the winner is getting decent Cheques anyway . ( and is usually Leap To Fame lol 😁💰)
  16. Swayzee won ok last year Hunter Cup 2025 from the bad draw . just kept pressing forward early and took over from the 2 kiwis after half a lap. you can win from any draw if you drive them to do it lol 🤣💪😉 The 2 New Zealand horses were Very close at the end too. LEAP TO FAME was sitting one -one getting a great run behind another Interdominion winner in Don Hugo and decided to go around it and sit parked ? one of those times he should of held position I think as the Don would of carted him up nicely for another lap. Still it was one of the Greatest races ever.Carter was cruising 3 back the fence and couldn't get a go at them.🙄 Great driving Cam Hart though. was like his NZ Cup efforts. Here's the video !! enjoy one of the Greatest Events we have . a year on already ? that was quick lol 😎
  17. The Monsters of the sport All strutting there stuff in incredible style tonight. 1/ Leap To Fame powers home in Kilmore Cup to defeat NZ best horse Republican Party in a great battle. Carter mixing it hard with the locals at the first corner 🤣👍😂 2/ 18 year old Jye Coney drives 4 winners at Menangle including the FFA driving Grimsons 'HI MANAMEISJEFF ' to a narrow victory over hot favourite, the current Miracle Mile champion Don Hugo in around 1.49. low flying. they bolt 5 lengths clear of the others. 3/ No room for former NZ horse 'The FALCON' at Grimsons so he sent him to Albion , where Pete McMullen wins the FFA in 1.51 with him for owners 'Grim' and 'Boots' 4/ NZ feature trot winning GUS for Pete, resumes off 40m handicap and donkeylicks them and is near best trotter in Australasia now. 5/ Pete gets a treble with former NZer FRANCO NEL , from the deep South of New Zealand. now open class winning 12 of 15 at Brisvegas past few months, and running 1.50 tonight winning by over 3 lengths. watch for him in some features shortly . (a 4 year-old by Vincent ) another ripper. 6/ Ex-pat kiwi Kyle Marshall wins training the Kilmore Popular Alm FFA sprint with SMOKEN ACE , an NZ bred he part owns and driven by Gun J.Herbertson in 1.52.5 some great performances from some great horses.!!! More to come with the 2026 Hunter Cup and Great Southern Star for trotters next week . bring it on !! 🏆🍻
  18. She's a ripper mate . Put her in. You have to buy one of the 2 slots first lol. if she can't get the legs going quick enough to keep up with 'Zahara' i'll get Pete McMullen to send GUS over to race in your slot. Go the Lobster !! bet you're still singing like Fred Schneider here after the great win yesterday 🤣😅🏆
  19. yes they are 2 beauties alright. Quinellaed the Addington 3 yearold Slot in November 7 lengths clear of the field. Come to think of it Captain's Mistress was in that Velocity Slot race as well, and finished 12 lengths behind them so she might not be the next Big thing after all. lol. A big ask for Marketplace and the 'Choc's' to run against this field in their first go in Open Class Ranks. They used to run the NZ Messenger as the Feature 4 year-old race , but changed it to Open Class in recent years , so they don't get that one to fight over either. What about Rebublican Party? NZ 's best horse and taking on Leap To Fame tonight at Kilmore too for bragging rights. He hasn't made a slot in your field yet ? (ran 6th in it last year behind Leap To Fame at Cambridge) arch rival Stonewall's should put him in their Slot ? hahaha🤣
  20. Bootsie's horse Captains Mistress could turn out to be the best yet lol. She roared away by 6 lengths with a stunning 53 second last half mile the other night to win with real Class. She is gunna be a real beauty. the next Big Thing. might even Win the Miracle Mile next month 14th March 😎💰 DON HUGO is going to the Perth Slot race on April 17th , the 1.2 million dollar Nullibor. Luke wants to keep him separate from stable-mate Kingman as much as possible. so unlikely to go to Cambridge again after 4th last year.
  21. yes that was a good example of what you were talking about previously for sure. Matt Cross the commentator a share in the winner Misty Blue . so was quite thrilled. good on him . He does a good job in his race descriptions in IMO.
  22. quite interesting as the PACING race has 3 year slots purchases. The trot must of had only 2 year slots timing ? as has only been run twice. The TAB trot. The problem being Mikey , the race is over if KEAYANG ZAHARA takes a slot , as she is proving to be the next Superstar now that Just Believe has retired. Last week she completely ripped the balls off last years Cambridge Slot Trot winner and current Interdominion Champion in ARCEE PHOENIX , and made him look 2nd rate past 2 starts. No one would be able to take on a horse to beat her in their slot . so sort of ruins it by being so good lol. 🤣 I thought Don Hugo would win the Pace last year ( having defeated Leap To Fame in the Miracle Mile) but Leap To Fame drove him into the ground in one of his Freakish performances. But the Pacers slots are All filled up ok , and these are the slot holders for them . A Fabulous lot of Long Time Harness racing Supporters. footnote: Craig Whiteoak owns QLDer THE JANITOR at Pete McMullens. would be great to see him there. He's a powerful horse and might give Leap To Fame a run for the money 👍💰 The 10 slot-holders are : All Stars Racing and Chris Ryder Craig Whiteoak Dennis and Mark Dunford Harnesslink Montana Park Pty Ltd N40 Racing Rakero Racing Rampant Pty Ltd Solid Earth Pty Ltd Stonewall Stud Ltd
  23. alas the roos a dime a dozen i'm afraid, and many get culled for pet food all the time . A disruptive one at the Tour Down Under cycle race is a Not going to get any sympathy unfortunately. Yes the rider Jay Vine had successful surgery after . He's a top rider in Europe too , so am glad he repaired ok. He said in an interview straight after that final leg of the race there were 2 Kangaroos and they decided to jump out of the bushes as the Pelaton came past at 50kph. Can only imagine the carnage with that. some kiwi raiders performed very well in the racing too .🇳🇿 👍 Alas most of the Wallaby's around my home area , which has lovely bushland not far away on 3 sides ( and one of our local kookaburras too ) and plenty of possums have been depleted on the road kill list. People are shocking drivers. I'm always watching closely for them, as worked with animals nearly all my life and would feel terrible if hit one.
  24. it is huge mate. Queensland had some monster Summer floods up North all through January. We usually get some down here in Brisvegas , with the odd summer storm and that. BUT we have had ZERO rainfall so far for weeks in the southeast corner . I'm watering every day 🙄 as do gardening one hour a day( in between watching races ) as the place is getting brown as the grass starts to die off and plants still in 30 degrees days every day mid summer. so even in the Same state we Can have flood and drought at the same time lol. Feb usually our wet season. Happy NZ Day to you ! 🇳🇿 🍻 , and hope for a winner( to break the drought 😉 ⛈️) Australia Day was Jan 26th public holiday so has been and gone already. Like the idea today of NZ grass day trots as can enjoy while doing my weekend Gallops study picks 🙂🏇
  25. Looks quite the winner after good Addington run . is hard taking $1.85 though when could get $2.00 about Leap To Fame last week for your multi's lol. 🤣 Am loving your idea of some multi's though. a good way to get a few runners in the action. Have no odds for Sunday Methven available to the day in these parts 🙄 , but good luck with your big price multi 👍💰. Might look at taking yours Sunday but will probably drop the trotter in race 5 (as they make me nervous galloping about the place lol 😅) For today though its your pick My Wingman $1.80 into my fav Grass track driver *Sam Ottley on Stormy Vista R3 $12 into BAZOOKA in the Amberley Cup at $7.00 to 'Blast em' apart lol 😉😅 . $150-1 for the treble. *Sarah O'Reilly , another Grass track whiz too so have a $6-1 place double for her too . ( to supply the weekend beer all going well 😁🍻 lol ) with a tenner on R3 My Shatjie into R8 Flyaway to both run a place . At Albion Park today , our very best driver **Pete McMullen has 3 very nice New Zealand bred horses to drive to score a $40-1 treble. in Chezzdale R1- La Sabina R3- Brian Chris R5 , so might go a tenner on that at 40-1. 👍💰 sure to go close.
