  1. In the quote you have used there Hunter, it says quote from Gammalite, " I would trail the good horse BEYOND WORDS in a heartbeat". Nothing about handing lead to any old mug . lol YOU made that up for some reason , bit of a good sport?
  2. Because Mark is a great Judge in a race. How do you think he gets such Amazing results. I would trail the good horse BEYOND WORDS in a heartbeat as you get a cosy trip , Taken right into the race, every possible chance to win, horse gets a breather in the run, Would be planning my victory celebration !! but BW was too good up the straight unfortunately. (ok for me as took $20 Quinella) Amazing Dream has had some wide tough runs lately?? surely deserved a nice cosy trail for a change? lol
  3. course it was planned, you can plan to trail someone you know ??? how does that make it race fixing.? Remember the running of a race has Nothing to do with a horses odds. !!! Since when has Trailing the leader been such a bad position in the running??? used to be the death seat was where not to be if you wanted to be in the finish (unless you are pure Steel or Gammalite lol) (one poster did describe the turn for home at Alex park not ideal as compared to Addington which is interesting? bigger track though?)
  4. A great nights racing Karrots ! Allstars only getting 3 out of 4 of the features. American Dealer upsetting the applecart because he is the real 'Deal" ! lol Glad someone is enjoying the races instead of grizzling about cheating and think they know better than Mark himself , how to drive his own horses .hehe I wish he drove Ashley Locaz so I could of got my Quinella ? lol
  5. That was truly terrible Hunter. Vicki Rasmussen got a year off training and brilliant young drivers Shane Graham and Leonard Cain did time. Shane just back after 2 years off , for one of those silly hand up the lead scenarios. Very poor decision. Leonard only 18 at the time and just following the race 'Plan" (maybe he wins the G1 tonight?) All the horses had every chance to win in that Albion race , just like Amazing Dream and Beyond Words last night.
  6. I guess its the definition of the serious charge of race fixing v the usual race pattern of "Race Plan". Llyod Williams bought lots of stayers over the years to win Melbourne Cups. In lead up races often a tearaway pacemaker would sacrifice itself out in front to suit a stablemate back in the pack. This to me is race fixing. The leader ran last , the Williams other runner nearly wins. Not every runner had a chance from the stable in those races. Amazing dream and Beyond Words both had Every Chance of winning.
  7. Thank you for your calculated response Galah. Forbury already descended into name calling and bullying. pretty poor form. You are wrong to decide How Mark should drive his horses. Based on your opinion of horses abilities and horses odds. It's not as easy as that. Mark knows better than you or I on race tactics (by a furlong or 2) Of course you have some sort of plan about a race before you go out in it? You didn't like his PLAN so you call it race fixing? thats just wrong. wrong wrong. Most races jockeys/ drivers are given some instructions YES ? surely you agree to that at least. According to your arguement , that's race fixing? OF course the 'Plans" don't work out all the time or we would all be retired with millions of dollars. Mark's plan gave Amazing Dream Every Hope to win. Had an amazing dream trail , yes?
  8. Gee i hope the Galah and the abusive special race driver Forbury read this and have a reality check. Amazing Dream HAD every possible chance in the world to win. Galah and Forbury are horrified that a PRE-race plan was to trail the stable-mate ,while they think only because of it's price and their perceived ability of the 2 horses, Amazing Dream should Lead and Win. OF COURSE you go out in a race and have some sort of plan, Crazy If you don't. ? give your horse every chance behind the leader and Mark chalks up another great drive. Forbury (already hating before this) and Galah are calling Foul and race fixing, because the Champion trails the leader and they think that wasn't what they think he should do ??? Don't forget to post Mark your driving tactics forbury, Galah, , for every race, so he knows what you want him to do! over 35 years driving, maybe he knows best what to do to win a race ??? ??
  9. Why? what merits is that? Why have you decided Amazing Dream is better than the ever improving Beyond Words? Tonight he beat her on merit and sure Not by much. I've driven in a thousand races and can tell you it is quite permissable to take a trail on a rival, especially MORE SO in this case when Mark KNEW IT WOULD cart him right up to the sprint lane? An intelligent drive, and AS USUAL a great result for ALLSTARS. Your horse generally can relax that little bit more in a trailing position and not be rattled by someone taking on the leader if that were to eventuate, but talking race driving with you and Forbury is a forlorn task it seems.
  10. You've lost the plot mate, and fancy coming on forums with crazy accusations against stewards and your harness racing Champions. Go support surfing or something where you don't bag the best there is. Mark is a WORLD CLASS driver and CHAMPION of the sport. He would beat you and me any day in a race and has ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO FIX RACES in any capacity. why ?? God only knows what you think of the many who don't run anywhere in your races. And I'm not an Idiot , and not protecting anyone.
  11. Come on Gammalite. Be honest. And to be honest Galah I am extremely disappointed that Mark didn't drive Ashley Locaz. I think Tim was setting up Spankem for the win in the Franklin Cup the way he drove it, so would definitely be more agrieved with that drive than Mark trailing leader with Amazing Dream in his race. so my $20 Q went west thanks to the FIXER running second. hahaha Irony you say ???? lol
  12. Incorrect Galah, I said Amazing Dream could of run SECOND to Spankem NZ FFA , not win it. Trailing the leader is NOT RACE FIXING you fools . It is a PRIME position hahah , they even have a passing lane to give EXTRA ADVANTAGE these days. Gammalite came around Vinnie in the Interdominion final while he tried to run me off a bit as no passing lane then. but still WIN. The horse that beat Mark is a GOOD horse. Just led and won in 1.55 at ADDINGTON recently . Not an easybeat. You guys need to drive some races to see what its REALLY like. hahah. you don't always lead when you want hahah
  13. Forbury have you driven in races? Have you ever sat in a stewards meeting? Mark has driven thousands of races. His ability is exceptional as proved by his results. What the hell are you going on about. ? He wins nearly everything, ? Blame the opponents ?? lol
  14. Didn't get beat by much. Leader went 1.55 at Addington and won. doesn't that count?? $4.40 the quinella . what a easy one to get !!!! shame I doubled up on Spankem -Ashley Locaz Quinella though lol
  15. Hahaha he just won twice at Addington during the Cup carnival.?? Are you just racing cats at Addington now?
  16. The NZ Australian JAWBREAKER just led up at Ballarat at even money a few minutes ago. Run down easily by the trailing horse up the straight by a 10/10 Chris Alford drive trailing it. What was wrong with Marks drive again ? >>?? (Amazing Drean) trailing leader is a GOOD position you know.
  17. To a degree Hunter, he has to think of his stable runners as well as the one he is driving. Only natural. But still Amazing Dream had every chance to win ? 10/10 drive yes?
  18. That is rubbish Galah. Amazing Dream had every chance to win. Since when has trailing the leader been a case of 'Diminishing your chances'? had every chance.... Personally I think Marks only stuff up was in NZ FFA with Amazing Dream when he decided Not to shove his old stablemate The old Fixer out of the road and run second to Spankem, But you can't get it right every time. Mark gets it Right more times than you or I though !!! hehehhe
  19. You say that every time he goes round. Beaten a head by stablemate that has great form ? What's your problem? trailed the winner every chance to mow it down.
  20. Stupid whip rules these days to aplease the activists. Good whip work and LA ROSA wins and Allstars don't get yet another G1 win. ooooh well . well done Tim. sit without cover and still win. A GAMMALITE specialty !!! used to do it often. lol
  21. Enjoy your party Karrots !! my missus at her work christmas party tonight so I have cracked some champers to have by myself hehehe Well it took a NZ record to beat Majestic Man. the Dunn trained 2 x G1 winner SUNDEE sat without cover and won like a stag. Doesn't seem to mind it's a Fridee lol ? NZ has a way of producing top trotters. Maoris Idol still the best though ! hehe He used to take on the Pacers.??
  22. When I was young in NZ , they had just one FIRST 4 race per meeting. That was fantastic, as usually the feature race (not vitally so) a huge pool, a big divi, plenty of attention for the race that otherwise might not attract attention. (e.g Galloping folk having a crack at the trots) Loved It.
  23. yeah I guess LAZARUS re-wrote the book on awesomeness !!!! lol The current Australian champion is LOCHINVAR ART who won last night at Bendigo under a hold. He beat your current best NZ cup winner 'Self Assured' twice at beginning of year when Mark was in Aus racing. EX NZer KING OF SWING is the second best, DID win Miracle Mile beating LOCHINVAR ART but a distant 2nd in one of Aus's biggest races, The Victoria Cup recently. King of Swing is very unfortunately in Brisbane for our Number 1 G1 race tomorrow night, QLD Championship. so our local hero 'Colt Thirty One ' looks like can't win our feature race sadly.
  24. Was he the bloke in the false beard seen sneaking in to a tab recently?
  25. Two of the 5 wonders from the West you mention there ! West Australians that led and won the Interdomion. Preux Chevalier , Village Kid, San Simeon, Baltic Eagle and Jack Morris ...... BUT surely the best you would of seen is the mighty GAMMALITE mowing down the 'goat' Popular Alm at Auckland in 1983 in a blaze of glory lol.!!!! also knocking over Delightful Lady, Armalight and Bonnie's C to win that. also GAMMALITE won a second interdominion the following year against some slow ones in Adelaide. hehe
