Robbie Holmes thinks He's on holiday at the Mot today Brodie , or having a party anyway with 2 winners so far. In race 6 the trot at the Mot your 'Top' driver TIM WILLIAMS smashed into Robbie's wheel 200m out and galloped. So 'big-time drivers make errors too. Robbie didn't even look at Williams horse PRINCE RANIER either, even when got of got tipped out, he certainly went up in the air. (Robbie himself that is) Focused on pressing on to victory !! classy !! think he must of heard you telling him off ...lol.......

Over the limit? Must be tough getting a good breaky in NZ. Is there No McCafe with coffee and McMuffins on the way to the Mot ?

A real black eye for the entire industry will result. Alas, Problem gambling spirals people's lives 'out of control.' People should just sign up with BOYS GET PAID to keep it all under control ?
-
Bad Luck missing a spot on the winner ownership there Chief. A Te Akau First4 in a million dollar race. Quite a feat for their resume'.!! And hard to believe DanielleJ missed a part of that action in the F4 too. ? Big odds that happening ?

At the 1100m McKendry gave SUGAR APPLE (Zachary Butcher) that big a bump ,it virtually did a left turn as Zac tried to avoid the unnecessary contact . just about went 5 wide on the track. Sugar Apple was 8th at the time and up to the death seat 100m later at the post a Lap out running 3rd. I would say that is PLENTY of Forward Momentum. Doubt McKendry would like anyone doing that to him. Got his 'Just desserts' posted 3 wide last lap with OHOKA CREED, looking silly , so all good.
-
That was a 'Learning' experience for those youngsters for sure. Zac Butcher drew the outside gate and tried to go back, but the pace slackened to a 32 second quarter, so had trouble Getting SUGAR APPLE back to the tail. Maurice Mckendry pushed him out 4 wide 1100m out like a bully-boy, so then Karma kicked in !!...lol ... and Maurice stuck 3 wide for the last lap. lol..... Zac preferred the death seat to letting McKendry past. ... Gammalite driver rating for that is Zac 5/10 Maurice 2/10 hahaha... Cran Dalgety horse up front looks a beauty !! he'll be winning a few. 10/10 !!!

Further further updated list M Purdon - Future C Dalgety R Todd T Chmiel B Purdon S Reid Well that was a good one, was just watching Addington R3 to pick on STICKMAN , as seemed to be racing poorly. Thought Terry Chmiel might not 'make-it' to help replace the ALLSTARS void that has been left, (on the list) then Strike a Light , STICKMAN won easily untouched !!! hahaha now have to say 'well done Terry!' welcome to the list, a worthy addition filling the void.

Haha hehe no I'm the Tassie devil, not the Daffy Duck, you'll have to defend your tipping crown Karrots , or be forever remembered as 'What might of been" . Maybe no-one cares who wins at Cambridge ?? lol.... whatever, can't see why people can't be keen for the sport still , like your good self. It's the only hope it's got.

sorry for dumbness , but just wondering is CWJ related to Peter and Danielle ? My guess is CWJ and Peter are brothers ?? but no matter what article I google it doesn't tell me ?
-
Hahaha Karrot Rage is good. lol maybe you pick well now !! Just giving Milo and Roman a chance to knock the current champion Karrots off !!!!! if they turn up late. No body else seems interested but just a fun thing for a laugh while watching the racing. HEZACROCWATCHER not in , which was my only bet last week , so will have to find another ???

What a piss poor week or two this year has brought so far. 1/ GROUP 1 BALLARAT Cup is on this weekend and NO kiwis !!! Kiwis got trifecta last year with Hope horse knocking off 2 of the Allstars !, and kiwis have won the last 5 Ballarat Cups. Bloody virus shit.!!! .......... easy win against hacks for Lochinvar Art at 10-1 ON now. not even worth watching. 2/ OZ Flogged in the cricket by India !! WTF they didn't have their captain and a couple of 'Net' Bowlers played against Oz full strength. ! full strength is weak as piss. lol. 3/ Trump pissed off to Florida today, instead of welcoming in the New President as has been tradition for 150 years. Another PISS poor Loser !!! 4/ Tennis Australia flying in 1500 Tennis people (10 infected) to risk everything in the community against this fucking virus , (while hundreds still stuck overseas) losers !!
-
Karrots are you putting tips on for tonight though ? on the home page punting selections. Roman and Milo might turn up and you should see if you can beat your record 22/ 30 ? only 9 races this time.
-
Hahaha yeah 2 examples in this thread with Philip Butcher 'caught' in the deathseat in 6 horse fields...... not his finest drives ! by any stretch lol........hehehe Mark P would of given him a gobful in that NZ FFA with the 'kamikaze karrot' drive on AWESOME ARMBRO. Then he gave a junior driver a gobful when Max Phactor couldn't get the lead ....lol....fun and games...

No,..... just looked up the horse Wrangler after you named him , and early 2018 races. I've written about him (Wrangler) and Alta Orlando recently. Two great horses that from Always having ability (and injury) and having to race the best all the time , have just missed having Remarkable careers themselves. Example :- Just One week ago at Menangle result was ...................... KING OF SWING (champion) 1st then daylight margin ,then ALTA ORLANDO 2nd ( potential champion who missed out) then more daylight, followed by WRANGLER 3rd (sort of reduced to third rate citizen unluckily) ...then heaps of daylight to heap of Aus battlers. three great ex-pat kiwis for sure !!

Karrots with a remarkable 22 points out of 30 last week (The Home town Heroine?) BUT Milo and Roman both had 20 points , pretty good stuff !!! and want some Revenge on Karrots ?? ALL 3 of these players got 18 points the previous week with excellent tipping. anyone think they can beat that ?? Have a shot at the title. Gammalite thinking he's only in it to run a distant 4th lol... , but still "be in it . to win it !!' life motto. R1 Sky High Flyer R2 Six times a lady (wonder if he'll lead like Wrangler did Karrots hehehe) R3 Sunny Petite R4 Ideal Prince R5 Spirit of Anzac R6 Son of Patrick R7 New York Minute R8 Nudist Beach R9 The Peacemaker

3 years ago Karrots 23rd Feb . just watched the race. Max Phactor (Phil Butcher) attacking Wrangler like no tomorrow, only a 6 horse field too !!! Phil looked quite upset during the running even, put Wrangler to the sword down the backstraight altogeather (who ran distant last) Not a great drive by the junior at all , I'm afraid. sometimes one should yield. or maybe Phil could of yielded. Nice 1.54 mile rate win for Pats Delight the result !!!! lol..... WRANGLER been at Luke McCarthy's in Sydney since later on in 2018 ( 46 starts for 12 wins) One year ago exactly he ran a 1.48.8 mile to win. Since then only 2 wins in past year for Wrangler??????? How hard is it to win when you have a horse that can run 1.48.8 and only win twice in following year? CRAZY

Gave up Harness race driving for golf and because of a 'Dummy Spit ' it seems. What a tragedy. Maybe he Should make a come back now that Allstars gone. ? A Good horseman and racing is somewhat easier than shoeing all the time. Get some reward for effort. Here's a 2018 extract with some Phil quotes :............. I love my golf and I want to play a bit more of that – perhaps even try and qualify for a few tournaments.” It’s been a quiet final season for Butcher – just nine winners – and he says he gets a feeling that perhaps the game has passed him by a bit. A recent misconduct charge for an on-track verbal incident resulted in a $600 fine and that was seemingly the straw that broke the camel’s back. “I promised myself that if I ever got charged again with something I didn’t deserve, I would finish up. There have been plenty of highlights for the 52-year-old, though. “Winning the Noel J Taylor Mile with Abdias for dad (John Butcher) was probably my proudest moment.

Was wondering where Philip Butcher got to , and so found this clipping from 2009. What a Ripper !, love this stuff ....lol, someone taking it right up to Allstars on the big days ! Gammalite thinks ALL stables should have TWO runners every race.! plenty of quality /exciting racing then ? Maybe Philip got a 'stretch on the sidelines" after this incident below? and never came back? VERY Ironic with Allstars team driving 'Accusations' over the years ...lol. WAIKATO REINSMAN Philip Butcher will face a second charge of improper driving when the hearing into his tactics on Awesome Armbro in the New Zealand Free-For-All resumes on Thursday. Butcher came in for vitriolic criticism after he attacked leader Auckland Reactor so mercilessly throughout the $250,000 feature that Awesome Armbro weakened dramatically, then broke turning in, finishing 77.5 lengths from the winner at Addington. His stablemate Changeover (David Butcher), to which he gave one-one cover, could manage only third. Stipendiary stewards initially charged Butcher with driving in a manner capable of diminishing the chances of his own horse winning, but were forced to adjourn their hearing when the driver failed to respond to their summons, leaving the course abruptly for a flight back to Auckland, where he had further drives. After studying videos of the Geoff Small-trained horse's previous races, the stewards have now laid the further charge, presumably learning that the horse is never driven so aggressively – his sit-and-sprint style earned him second place in last year's free-for-all. The connections of Auckland Reactor (fifth) had heated words with Butcher after the race and said he should be charged with team driving and an act detrimental to harness racing, given the public perception of the race run on one of the code's most high-profile days.

More of an Abyss than a 'void to fill' with Alexy helping being the 'Void' filler. Pretty impressive to get to 300 starts though. What a tough effort that is. Imagine the truck miles covered ??? Check out this bloke , an old kiwi, having his 400th start next week at Albion Park. (300 odd sub 2.00 minute miles , must be near a record effort I would think) LANCELOT BROMAC NZ View at HRA Online Foal Date 31 October 2009 Colour / Sex BAY GELDING Sire ART MAJOR USA Dam LIFE OF LUXURY (NZ) Broodmare Sire LIVE OR DIE USA Owner(s) S W Dickson, M J Manners Breeder(s) Bromac Lodge Ltd, Cee Bee Holdings Ltd Trainer S W Dickson Gait PACER Class NR49 Lifetime Summary: 399-28-62-50 Stakes: $316,181 Best Winning Mile Rate: 1:53.8

Most of the crooked shit with punters leaving the game , involves horses that don't give them a run for their money. So often at the trots there are 'Galloping ' runners. Some punters would be sick of that after JUST one loss. Why would anyone want to lose in that fashion? (Galloping out the back) might as well back Ellerslie , Trentham and Riccarton and still be 'In The Field" with a runners chance at least. This horse has bad barrier manners (Tiger Moth) so seems to be badly away quite often. Today a pitiful field that only came home last 1/2 in 60 seconds. Anything with a tick of ability could win by 7 lengths in that case.

Well Cran already has 'form on the board' with CHRISTEN ME and 11 Group 1's , even racing against Allstars ??? wow , he sure knows how to do it. ELSU was a great horse in the north (6 Group 1's) don't know what happened to his trainer? Maybe ALL the Butcher Boys could get togeather and have a SUPER STABLE ,???? John Butcher won a few in his day. Barry Purdon still in action at Clevedon, always goes well, I would send anything that runs good right handed up to him for sure. What about the MONKEY KING people ?? Reid in the north and Hill in the South islands. They had great results with the Monkey so surely know what they are doing? give them some good horses and away you go............ .......
-
Well there is a nice 'Sweet Lou ' colt for you Karrots. anything like the DEALER and he'll be winning. Bit of a dodgy name lol......like a kids Pony name.... Like Karrots !! lol....... sure you didn't name him ?
-
Well whether Danielle and/or Colgan were 'punished' for Trying too hard is proving debateable. It was a Group 1 so give it all you've got is the right idea there. Bloody Ryan Maloney , punished the nation at the Gold Coast, stupidly getting onto heels like a learner with the Hot favourite ISOTOPE in a Million dollar to the winner Group1 on Sat. Should have the book thrown at him IMO. cost himself, owners , punters probably 100's of thousands of dollars? around the country (countries). Ironically he won that same race (Magic millions guineas ) last year with ALLIGATOR BLOOD. Since it was disqualified some time after, wonder if he has to give back the approx $100,000 riding Fee ??? lol. Double loser ??

Quite a challenge is controlling these beasts through the run of a race . Jockeys asked to do their very best and Win. I find it amusing when the best (danielle Johnson) win 4 races on the day, and run 2nd in the feature. Levin Classic, to another TOP rider and well credentialled horse. Then cops criticism . That's after copping the 'Bump' that the suspended jockey gave Brando as well. So all the issues that Freda and Chief mentioned all come into the Picture. Result is therefore affected. Very hard to win after that. Horse did very well with solid closing second placing. Stewards need to take action. (By demand of everybody) suspension given.
-
My opinion is Moana is heading in a 'different ' direction to every other runner. Why should Danielle have to change her line because the suspended guy is coming out from behind that horse in front of it. Collision imminent and 'Insufficiently clear' to avoid contact seems certain. Guilty as charged.
