  1. Double Cove used to wear a shadow roll like that, although many of RJB’s did. He had a phenomenal team then, and could drive a bit.
  2. His time trial at Richmond?
  3. Tend to agree a little with that Brodie, think it'll be a case of pick the leader. I think a couple of standing start miles is pushing the boat out a bit, although as they say, there's a winner there somewhere!
  4. F/F/Blackie ?
  5. Guessing you mean Tony Shaw
  6. Geez Rangatira, Brodie would be horrified. The TAB here aren’t nearly as vicious as those Aussies pursuing a successful punter in getting their money back.
  7. Please expand on this , and tell us all about this Ranga, sounds interesting 🧐.
  8. Give us the ‘F’ option Gamma, as # 1, Numero Uno is where Blackie should be in his rightful place. Fear I’m going to end up 4 or 5 deep on a lot of average horses, exciting stuff. At least we get to lead the field out. As for fluking a competition…I’ll give you that one, from The World’s worst punter.
  9. Davey looks bemused in that photo Walt 😎
  10. Didn’t Our Mana win the Coast Bonus? Fun times
  11. Leave this to us Walt. So..... Definately Robin Butt beating JW Smolenski Agrinion was a fine mare with an outstanding pedigree(half to Locarno), though she never left much. Think that must be Harvest Gold coming off the trail to try to run her down? Come in Rangatira, don't let that criminal with the ball & chain round his leg beat us.
  12. http://www.hof.co.nz/Timeline.asp?Case=6&ItemId=15&AlphaId=18&CategoryId=3 Heres a good read with a cuppa. Dapper gentleman was Clarrie. True & Alec Peterson got 'mixed up'(don't think they looked anywhere like one another) one night at the races as I remember, caused a bit of a stir. Alec, the better one, raced the 2 win horses and beat them.
  13. Touché Walt
  14. Free’s Best Brodie Hondo’s Dream another one
  15. Never, ever, condemn them till they are in the ground. ( they are stayers those owners) 👍, well done.
  16. Nail on head Brodie. Need more horses.
  17. Peter Bagrie trained Bettor’s Heart in the 2020 Ladyship Mile ?
  18. Yes, and if the big guys haven’t got the best one, they usually just go and buy it
  19. Hi Brodie Like it or lump it, Harness Racing is bulk funded now, all comes out of the same big pool. Others would say good turnover clubs subsidise lesser clubs but it is what it is.
  20. Geez Gammalite. What are they going to buzz that first furlong in with Turn It Up drawn the front as well? Could play into Larry’s lap if he stays out of it early.
  21. Agree Galah Looking back at it, she probably would've run 3rd or even 2nd with the trail. I'd be pissed ifI were a punter and backed her. Unfortunately, perception is reality lots of the time.
  22. Thanks Gammalite, excellent work as always 👍
  23. Big result
  24. Can't catch the Wolfman today, just too good. As long as I beat Gamma man, I'll be happy.
  25. Don’t worry about that Chiefy boy down in number 1, Blackie will be doing everything he can to cross him and make him disappear back on the fence. Let’s hope I’m cheering for Harold Smith in the last, and please don’t let that Aussie win the Trotting Derby, never hear the end of it from the Aussies on here.
