  1. Fof the last few years the Waikouaiti new years day meeting has been struggling for numbers, very few southerners went anyway and to Omakau 2 days later either so in reality this will be their first meeting since boxing day, will be interesting to see how it goes,Waikouaiti still race but 2 weeks later at Wingatui, should have better numbers so that will be interesting as well.
  2. I will add that a lot of prominent people are named but why the secresey for others?
  3. The restrictions come off Melbourne tonight, for how long? I reckon it should be stated to people that as from now all those testing positive be named.
  4. I just noticed the Riverton Jan 1st day is all 15000 races, that might stimulate a bit more interest, time will tell.
  5. I'd say this one has t been updated for sometime, accuracy is good,in the harness site it tells us if a horse is just staying somewhere temporarily,John Phillip's has 26 in training yet only has one at the races for yonks, looking through the southern trainers over the years they just keep chipping away and building up a handy tally,it just makes interesting research
  6. It's not really that brilliant in the North at all,Auckland and Cambridge is pretty monotonous and with no grass racing all in all not much to get excited about.
  7. How accurate are the trainers stats as in numbers in training,it says John Phillip's,Winton has 26 in training yet The Tyler's have 23,the Tyler's always turn up with a few each day,Phillip's has only one, where are the other 25?
  8. Races seemed to go off ok,I just wonder if there is room for a few monday meetings in the south, sometimes those 2 meetings in six weeks seems a bit sparse in race date terms.
  9. At least Forbury get the numbers, its funny how hrnz are supposed to be promoting racing and then removing it from a large chunk of the country,im getting mixed messages.
  10. Wonder how all the trendsetting dorks are going,if they are home yet ready for the congestion that awaits them tomorrow going to work.
  11. I had a listen to rova radio today a gallop race was on from oz but they cut it off halfway to go to Ashburton,I've said it before, very unprofessional
  12. Be a great holiday for the dorklanders going home, sitting in traffic so they can get stuck in traffic going to work tomorrow, fuckem ,one wonders when you talk about pollution in the air all those cars bumper to bumper must be the biggest polluters in the country
  13. Just reading an ODT story on yesterday, over a thousand people turned up,now I'm not sure if that's a lot but it appears by Forbury standards it seems to be ,some of the days they get probably only attract a handful but its all about the turnover, but it does help if the public know the races are on,a Sunday on a holiday weekend gets some interested, don't believe a cold Thursday in July would inspire many, how many turn up at addington on those cold winter nights?
  14. Strange thing,PetesDash seems to be a habitual 5th or 6th placegetter so with other drivers still getting same result,6 months is a bit tough, maybe just a bit of advice might have been enough.
  15. Keeps the account ticking along for now aye😧
  16. No tote windows at all?
  17. Spouse Alexy will be up round the 350 mark by may.
  18. Should have forgotten about it.history now.
  19. There still needs to be shuffle around in the dates to get the best outcome,I think the south has probably got enough meetings or close too,one positive we saw over winter is the fact you can race in Southland in winter,I guess it comes down to figures what days are best but Forbury on cold winter nights is a bit of a croc
  20. Forbury offers variety
  21. I think 8 of the winners are from places where they stopped racing or wanted to stop racing, the locals and then throw in Eastern Southland.
  22. Not a guarantee as he has moved his second operation south, was he or is he got a team up north
  23. I've said many times, they are a victim of circumstances but it would be interesting to see how today has gone
  24. Forbury does offer some variety.
  25. That might be wishful thinking.
