It looks like 4 wins 2 placings from 6 rides,there is a very good reason why he gets good horses to ride because he delivers. Just to add I reckon some of that West Australian racing is hard to beat too whether its Perth or even Kalgoorlie,good racing good commentator too.

I think I once said he was the best I believe he is,somewhere on you tube there was a perth cup ride that tops the lot but I cant find it.

Mostly I find the odds irrelevant as most times I lose lol.

As it's a nice sunny day I'm going out to get some sun and will probably listen to some music or something else no trackside radio is a basterd,not easy to carry tv with sky dish around with me lol

I often wonder if they need two tv channel's 24 and 7.

As I ain't got sky at the moment I wont watch the rugby,basically I dont give a fuck about it,but I will watch the odds race at Methven if I'm around,I use to love the NPC and if you you tube some of the shield matches and touring games from the past the passion was stronger,its probably no different for the players today but for the ageing public it's just another game now. In many ways the greedy Rugby Union haven't advanced the game ,its gone the other way,with it being pro some have benefited but with covid the reset button has been pressed.

I always enjoyed radio and then I'd have a few dollars on races while out and about ,now without radio I just dont bother,I'm not streaming on smartphone all day fuck that but as I have ditched sky for now I actually like listening to the Roland Garros Tennis online radio when in bed but as that's only a short term event I can live with that,as racings everyday that's a bit different.

I will say though that while we sometimes complain about the TAB we must not lose sight of the fact that they keep our racing going so we should support own,some say sell it off,I'm not sure,do we want everything that is NZ run by outside influence Do overseas sites pay us for betting on nz racing,does anyone know?

I think the fact that we do gamble at all suggest we all have in some ways,its about keeping a balance,I actually haven't put a cent in TAB since about april and I'm only a small punter,(I'm only 5 foot 2 lol)when they sacked Davey Mac and some of the changes I said fuckem no more,they give me bonus money which I use and actually every one has won but in the end it always comes unstuck and ends up back at 1 cent but hey I still have fun for a day or two so no harm done,can watch races not needing a bet,mind you if everyone did that racing wouldn't last long aye.

At least they weren't loaded in the wrong way,no head starts for those ones lol

In reality I might watch some of that racing but I'm not interested in punting on them,some of those races have a pool of 20 dollars or something so no one else is really interested either. As for gambling problems the net is a great place to lose time and money,I played around on some sites for a while,on reflection I wish I hadn't but you cant change the past. Gambling can be a problem,but just being on our smartphones can too,I spend a fair bit of time here but apart from the news and sport sites and some you tube and sometimes learning something new we can waste a lot of aimless time online.

when i was younger and this is the 70s looking forward to the trots at the weekend was like a kid waiting for santa to come at xmas,and i will point out that thats the only time ive known santa to be on his travels lol,i just think as one ages the excitement tends to fade,i think also that saturation point of sport and racing dont help.

I spose racing with trackside is got one good point,you might get 25 people on course but 25000,maybe watching on tv around the country,professional sport maybe never be the same post covid 19 worldwide,so many rely on crowds,its amazed me how the australian horse racing has just kept going through the pandemic,probably despite taking a hit,we havnt seen the real fallout yet.........i see 5000 tickets not sold at present for test in Wellington,its not the be all and end all in life anymore,not sure if the ozzies are that good but it will boost the egos of the ABs i spose if they beat a team from a country where rugby is not that important,so many things to ponder for administrators going forward.

They also use to have a to drive a winner option which was good if you wanted to multi 4 or 5 drivers, jockeys option.

The question regarding racing,haven't they got rid of duty on betting and if that's the case what can the govt do ?

What as a racing fan would you like to see regarding racing and as a member of the human race What are the issues other than racing are important.adding the second subject should make it more interesting.

Just noticed the little green number that tells you of a notification is back. Talking about crowds less than 5000 people turned up at Forsyth Barr stadium for the shield match on sunday,same teams 7 years ago 18000 turned up,we just get too much it doesn't have the same impact over time.
