  1. Gee I might need a holiday lol, market mover is in race 3 not 2. number 1.
  2. I correct myself, wasn't a surge race, silly me.
  3. That's a Southern Surge race yet a horse trained in Canterbury, raced in Canterbury lines up today, why or how ? And in race 2 the market mover last time I looked was paying 45 on the tote, open fixed at 126, interesting.
  4. Wonder if TAB popped into Eden Park, not too many there but Auckland have reached a new low in provincial Rugby, joining Harbour and Counties trailing the field, now you see he don't see things as others see things on many things, so laugh if he must but I'm in a very large silent majority who think the same way, I'm still trying to find people around where I am with 6 fingers, maybe he's got his wires crossed. Interestingly a good interview of Peter Williams on the platform the other day of his move to Central Otago, all those years to eventually see the light but we will concede he didn't go to Auckland because he liked the place, he went as his job was there.
  5. In my brief visit shopping yesterday managed to spot a couple more one armed shoppers, personally seems to me be easier to put phone in pocket and use 2 hands.
  6. But it is interesting, betting figures always have been.
  7. I would believe those figures if every meeting was individually displayed in all its glory somsomewhere.
  8. Doomed, if you switch over to Harness Racing 5 or 6 in a race is common and some dont even seem concerned, for now.
  9. Tact McLeod, will be interesting to see if he can reproduce last years efforts., be a hard act to follow.
  10. The best ones were the ones in late January, I'm sure if the stake eclipsed the Hunter Cup a week or two later then it would take precedence if Cup at A Park was in January.
  11. And Gamme next time you go out take note of those who have smartphone in one hand especially while driving, just as well cars are automatic I guess lol. Be interesting to see how people would be able to do their shopping if they only had one arm.
  12. People vacate the larger centers for Xmas, and especially New Year, Auckland have messed around for years with their Cup Date, now moving back to New Year impacts on Omakaus main races, I believe they objected to the switchback but was rejected by HRNZ, even visually running when it does with all those monstrosities of building shading a large part of the track is not a good look, as for when , that's a hard one, I'm sure there is a solution, they never have in Auckland what Addington have, never will.
  13. TAB I hope you are enjoying the NPC, 3 Auckland teams, 12th 13th and 14th of 14, maybe they could all merge and just have one, make a nice even dozen for next year, it looks like the Blues will be looking elsewhere for their recruits as well, maybe Canterbury have a few spare, do you think you could see if Alexandra Park could find another date for the Auckland Cup, why would anyone want to spend New Years eve in Auckland, and I'm sure trainers and the like would prefer to be at Omakau instead, that's where the top Pacers should be at New Year, following the crowd, laugh if you like but that seems smarter to me, following on nicely from the Invercargill Cup. I'm just trying to be logical.
  14. Facebook, good for lost and found animals, classifieds and comments on one or two of the news sites, plenty of fake shit though.
  15. I've just been to my local supermarket, and I observe people and just how addictive they are to their smartphone, only seem to use one hand, I guess now that we don't have access to many of the online betting sites it should reduce my time on mine, I use to be on bet365, betfair and TAB,spent ages on those 3 sites once Trackside Radio went, and as I use to have a couple of bucks on most races while working, i listened through headphones, but once radio went I stopped, only bet on races when I'm at home now, and now that we have lost 365 and the like added to the substandard in play platform, will spend bugger all time on sports too. The internet is the biggest addiction in modern society, we are all addicted but recently on my smartphone I now only buy call and text, so when I'm out I don't use the net, only at home, I do spend lots of time online at home, You Tube, only on Facebook for ond or two things, why I want to post a photo of having a pie for lunch is mindboggling and a couple of the racing forums. Strange world we live in.
  16. These are the days vital for the 2 or 3 larger trainers in the South, many of the others simply don't get going for a while, this months a bit odd with 5 Saturdays, same as last year, Riccarton raced on 4 but one less this time, could have slotted another in somewhere.
  17. Talking about gambling/company's etc etc, during the night I sometimes leave the radio on for the Soccer from the UK, talk sport I think but it plays through Sports Nation, which was senz but now is owned by Entain/ TAB and on Monday morning it was peppered with adds from gambling establishment, as no one is allowed to advertise gambling in NZ apart from TAB this will more than likely get awkward, while those company's can't operate in NZ in a round about way they are still advertising, I bet it's not long and the feed gets chopped.
  18. Gamma I never understand people betting in racing futures with no gaurantee of making the field/starting, futures in sports it is a bit clearer but I still haven't worked out if you take a futures bet on a tennis pre tournament bet you get refund if a no show, all other sports futures are straightforward, at present there are heaps of teams in Soccer World Cup, but they will be whistled down over time.
  19. Do sporstbet refund futures bets if horse don't show up.
  20. It's starting to look like Rugby in Auckland is going down the same path Horse Racing is, the power base for our economy as well as our National sport is well and truly in the provinces, , there has always been a divide from Auckland and the rest of NZ, seems its getting bigger.still the majority of people living in NZ still live outside Auckland, very soon the Majority in Auckland will be migrants, and as they dont care about Horse Racing or Rugby Auckland will continue to drift further away from what NZ use to be and should be, maybe it should become a seperate state of its own, oh dear, how sad, never mind.
  21. 10% winners, I reckon that's about a 98% exaggeration lol, just watching Addington/A park, most or all the big bets to win go awol, and are over the 5000 limit.
  22. Futures markets, you dont get refund if they don't start so why bother anyway. I still haven't been able to find out in Tennis if you take a futures bet if you get refund if players pulls out.
  23. Could easily change this threads name to intercourse or outaluck😀
  24. Me picking the best track of all for the Winter today at Oamaru, shame no more racing there until June, shame fields are a bit light as well.
