  1. I don't find it a bad look, I don't look at it and if it's only Cambridge with what it's offering at present I won't be watching it but Thursday twilight meetings start in the South now, maybe I won't watch that either🥸
  2. Seems odd Methven and Washdyke so close together on same day.
  3. Does anyone know if our Out The Gate experts got their nose in front punting everyone's money for fun, I don't watch it.
  4. But is it betting responsibly, would you spend others money so flippantly?
  5. Think I will just stick to just having a few bets when it's suits lol, backing slow horses appeals more than feeding one.
  6. Cambridge are hosting a round of the World drivers Champs, based on numbers recently, they will need to up their numbers or it will be hopeless, ........I also note Manawatu have a Monday Thursday season opener on Cup Week, with all the attention on Cup Week may struggle for numbers too, why not the next week?...not that difficult.
  7. Talk about the negativity, we'll all I'm seeing is everything revolving around Ellerslie or TeRapa, and stuff the rest of the country,(it seems)and personally I don't think many in the South give two shits about Ellerslie and the likes, rarely do you see horses from Cook Strait South there so they just do there own thing, they still have their cup races, Guineas races and the like, and yes the stakes on offer are pretty decent at present, sure up North is the stronghold for gallops, but racing in the South it's going ok, long may it continue.
  8. Two races at Washdyke Sunday have been boosted, those missing out last week have preference, fortunately no southern horses went all the way north only to have to go home without starting, 5 Jockeys affected in fall, finding replacements quickly might not have been easy, stakes boosted for Southland Friday, good noms mostly too, mostly all Southern trained there is often a lot of negativity regarding racing in the South, and where things are heading they have fewer days and short season, but things just keep chugging along year after year.
  9. I've only watched Out The Gate for about 10 minutes 3 weeks ago, no interest to me, but if and I say if it attracts younger followers sobeit but the older I'm getting the more I'm watching less and less racing on TV, maybe I'm getting racingd out, only so much one can take, Friday nights is good, but many times now I'm only watching specific races, even betting, it's just not exciting me at present, the sports in play platform for live betting has turned me off there too, it's so out of touch from other sites who now since the ban are out of sight.
  10. Just start off punting slowly, just $2 place bets until you get back into fitness lol.
  11. I guess you can look at it another way, even if none are trying to win someone will, and if you backed it then who cares lol.
  12. Interesting 12 races I think on Friday, at Addington, why not same at Auckland and no Thursday.? In regards to trying, I always thought drivers were suspended if they didn't give horses best chance of winning.
  13. You also bag Southern people then have the cheek to show respect for a prominent racing figure from a prominent racing family who died earlier this week which shows what a twisted fucker you are., get some help, it may be too late, good riddance you useless piece of shit.
  14. Winston's done more than enough, 2 all weather tracks and sees nothing but dislike for them by many, then giving his flash tie wearing friends at Ellerslie the betting monopoly so they can supposedly get a bit richer, the well must dry up one day.
  15. You really seem to be beyond rehabilitation, what positives in Harness Racing in Southland, racing all year, is that not a positive, they too have been jerked around by those who set the dates, but haven't as yet needed to be put on life support as Northern Harness is, all those extra Cambridge meetings was such a success that now they are backtracking and are now dropping some, throw in the fact that Aucklands been facing insolvency, at least the Southern Surge concept did boost numbers, larger stakes up North has changed nothing, fields are still pathetic, Akuta getting 10 grand for winning a four horse workout, nice but the few left racing will thankfully milk the system as long as they can until reality takes precedence. Whats happening up North to harness racing, Rugbys going the same way, for the population there they are pathetic and as the population demographic changes it ain't going to get better.
  16. Which kind of sums up Northern harness racing to a tee.
  17. Southlands fine the way they are, the numbers will build up again up North would be fine too if they only raced once a week at present, sometimes the small fields are projecting some winners who probably might not be good enough normally, Harness don't need any extra meetings just utilize the ones they have better, just my thoughts
  18. Think if you get same old same old week after week anything gets boring after time, but Cambridge and Auckland are hard work, might be interesting to those with horses racing there, not very to anyone else.
  19. Have you checked out any racing in Norway,? plenty of harness, only one gallop track, it looks a nice place especially outside the city, lots on you tube aye.
  20. You get to go to Oslo and you are worrying about Auckland/Alexandra Park, Brodie, no one other than those living there give a shit about the place.
  21. Seems many of these places seem to have reduced capacity these days, you notice it when Hagley Park or the Basin are sold out yet there always seems lots of space, might be heath and safety or something, Addington with all those, tables umbrellas must affect capacity, used to be standing room only, times change I guess.
  22. Poor old TAB, judging by the number of positive post on Facebook after Southland won the shield, seems to indicate people do care about the NPC or maybe the way he thinks might be just a Auckland thing, strange indeed😁
  23. What I was thinking though is if the money they are punting isn't their own then they will naturally throw it around willy nilly, not like their own, and if the money is Betchas/TABs then all they are doing is giving on one hand, taking on the other so what is the point, might make sense if any winnings went to charity but as Entain are in this game to make money they would be so tight that in human terms they wouldn't give ya the steam off their shit.
  24. Havnt watched it, bar 5 minutes when flicking chanels, do they start of with a Betting pool and punt away until it's all gone ?
  25. Heaps and heaps of fake stuff on Facebook, but , in the gambling company world, takeover, sell outs are common, so who would know what to believe.
