  1. 33 noms for Thursday.
  2. I suspect serious punters might be on the way out, especially in Sport which was where Entain were expecting growth to come from, no serious punter is going to wager on test Cricket and the likes like they did on Betfair, most punters are fun, most turnover comes from serious ones, simple aye.
  3. Some of those pools picked up, later on,c interestingly only one harness meeting on NZ TAB from aussie, are they all postponed or what ?
  4. They still are a indicator, what about trifectas, first 4 , still tote, if Riccarton do 47 or so on the Winter Cup and Winton do 2500, tells a story don't you think? Some of the later races may have picked up.
  5. 2 races in the southern surge won by horses with trainers based in Christchurch, brilliant. They just keep making it up as it goes.
  6. Judging by the tote pools for first 2 races the Southern Surge hasn't happened to betting, maybe things will pick up, maybe not. At least bumping stakes up they may all be trying instead of manipulating the ratings system.
  7. They were going to have 15 but they've scrubbed some.
  8. I imagine the FYR figures are Aug 1 till July 31 but these figures are incomplete for the season, so more to come, I think, or is based up to same time last year?
  9. Was just reading with only one meet in the North through June weekly and 2 fortnightly, some common sense there, 12 races on Friday nights at Auckland, why not one Friday night meeting, and Nelson get their 2 days in June back, maybe tieing in with Blenhiem, just a thought....Oamaru took over Forburys date in january and have another before Xmas, the real problem club is Kapiti, last January they were on a hiding to nothing racing same day as Blenhiem, I thought it was stupid , turned out it was. Southland stay the same, don't need anymore. Canterbury have plenty but whether they subsidise northern racing, that's up for debate.
  10. As I've said before, the sports in play platform is out of the ark as opposed to bet 365s state of the art, bet365 showed how its done yet now TAB are advertising live in play betting like it's some great new innovation, i wonder if the large punters who traded and were on the likes of Betfair for head to head for test Cricket or Tennis etc etc are welcome or does the first sign of having a dollar arouse suspicion and sees you restricted or closed, they have plenty of backing so should be able to stand a few big bets, most times the bookie wins anyway, as for the Horse Racing platform is OK, why they took away place 6 is odd but they don't have anything to attract the one win to change a lifetime event like lotto, my thoughts are not unique to me, plenty of others in same boat. And the 50 bucks a week comment I will take with a grain of salt, Horse racing for me is a casual interest it don't bother me if I could get 15 cents better elsewhere but for some it does and for large punters forcing some to take it or leave it wiil be their downfall, so what if they have to payout some big wins now and then, more than likely the house wins in the end.
  11. I don't want to be a pain in the rissole but what were the dates that have been scrubbed.
  12. 50c is more than this lot will get at present, running a third world set up.
  13. It was a anonymous poster regarding account closure , I suggested he/she go the press or TV, if true to get some answers.
  14. Jones horse raced at the Ashburton trials just last week
  15. Manawatu still have 17 days judging by the calandar, I looked yesterday. 3 single days which might be a stretch, only 3 days before xmas, do you know which ones are gone from other 2 ?
  16. The Exchange? I thought the exchange was a betting platform, as in Betfair Interestingly I don't know if it's true but some poster on Facebook was posting regarding a few punters restricted or accounts closed, since the monopoly, whether it's true or not what's the point in that.
  17. I do know that some of the dates were subject to funding, in reality they could have a few less, 2 meetings up north at present is not necessary......quality over quantity, the awash with cash quotewas a bit of a tounge in cheek comment, but they seem to spend plenty, but for how long can they keep doing it?
  18. Enlighten me please.
  19. But isn't it just another of the mind boggling make it up as you go idea, I also think that as this series is restricted to one area then penalty for winning should be half and maybe no ratings relief for the tailenders. But once again pumping up the stakes as harness does, just seem to be awash with cash.
  20. That horse of Mark Jones hasn't raced in Southland and had a trial only last week at Ashburton, really, makes a mockery. House don't live in Southland, shouldn't be there either, oh well harness racing is full of manipulators, manipulators of the rating system as well , why makes rules, many don't enforce them, it's simple southern trainers liveing South of the Waitaki.
  21. 141 noms Winton, one day 108 starters Auckland, Cambridge 2 days, just a observation.
  22. 6 races at Cambridge, 7 Auckland, could easily alternate venues One day a week, some of those CD trainers do go to Cambridge, not Auckland, who can blame them ? interestingly rating 46 racing a rating 75 in main pace on same mark is weird.
  23. But you are sometimes getting 10 race winners and more, racing one race winners, often off the same mark, crazy.
  24. A problem gambler for Entain is the ones who wont/don't migrate to them, be interesting to learn if the monopoly will rake in all this extra cash, they must have some small indicator by now.
