  1. Unless the gallops move over to the trotting track Ascot Park be next for a date shift from Sunday, track rating is heavy 10, but one would be keen to know what it really is
  2. That's Sheldon Murtha, am I correct, what became of him ? Well they have outsourced the TAB, closed some tracks but not as many as was once suggested and built the AWTs so some changes have been implemented.
  3. That stand would be appropriate at Alexandra Park or have they recently downsized 😀
  4. Probably run half the card during the Rugby, they love having meetings clash lol
  5. Brodies dreams come true, Saturday night racing.
  6. For a moment I thought that picture was taken at Forbury Park but the shorts and tee shirt quickly blew that theory apart.😁
  7. Rather interesting is no racing after New Year at Alexandra Park until February 7, will the Auckland Cup on News Years Eve be a one off race with no other supporting races for Cup class horses,
  8. I wonder how many double up, race Tuesday and Friday, I suspect none so that probably blows the theory that racing on consecutive nights has a impact, who knows maybe next year Cambridge may move to Thursdays, trial and error i guess.
  9. Think you will find the gallops are the same, jamming everything onto 1 channel creates the problem. And one delay makes it even worse.
  10. You do wonder why the highest rating is 120, seems to me you are either 120 or lurking around the 80s mark.
  11. Tentative programme at HRNZ has it up to R91, FF, Trot race up to 120 handicap.
  12. I note it's a rating 35 to 91 FFA, am I missing something but this must be the first time the very best horses or highest rating are excluded after so many years, strange.
  13. There seems to be a perception in today's world that consumers want more and more of the same product to quench their thirst for something when in reality less can be best, you see it everywhere, Super Rugby starting earlier next year so they can have 16 rounds because the public want more, according to the powers that be in Super Rugby, then we see saturation point in Cricket with the overkill of 20 20 which basically is crap, after time ones interest wanes, Harness racings no different, everyone's wanting a bigger share of the cake but the men in charge tell us this is what the public want but is it?
  14. Maybe he will be.
  15. Well don't waste it.
  16. Surely they could hook up an extension cord to a neighbour's place, might even be cheaper.if neighbour was on holiday at the time and didn't know.
  17. Did they talk about the present sideshow called Ellerslie And the importance of having Ruakaka, Pukekohe or Woodville on standby
  18. You meant to write, has another room to sit in now.
  19. One talks about crowds, that was the only low point of the Ranfurly Shield match on Saturday night in Napier, unlike the old days where a top of the table clash plus the shield would have full house written all over it it just lacked that one vital component, TV is or has made people complacent, the interest is still there for both Racing and Rugby, crowds unfortunately ain't no more.
  20. Don't think it's a good look offering a organisation a large payout if the Government legislate a change in the law just to help a select few.
  21. I fully support people betting with our lot, but I also support choice, once any organization gains a monopoly they call the shots.
  22. I was going to mention Woodville would also be on standby but I then thought surely they wouldn't shift a northern meeting that far south

    Betcha

That was overkill that moari stuff, that weather girl on TV1 is too, and so is the haka at the rugby, a bunch of Pacific Islanders doing a moari haka, what next ?
  24. Well there is always Ruakaka or Puke as back up.

    Betcha

Winston should give all gold card holders a 50 dollar TAB top up every week.
