  1. It was a anonymous poster regarding account closure , I suggested he/she go the press or TV, if true to get some answers.
  2. Jones horse raced at the Ashburton trials just last week
  3. Manawatu still have 17 days judging by the calandar, I looked yesterday. 3 single days which might be a stretch, only 3 days before xmas, do you know which ones are gone from other 2 ?
  4. The Exchange? I thought the exchange was a betting platform, as in Betfair Interestingly I don't know if it's true but some poster on Facebook was posting regarding a few punters restricted or accounts closed, since the monopoly, whether it's true or not what's the point in that.
  5. I do know that some of the dates were subject to funding, in reality they could have a few less, 2 meetings up north at present is not necessary......quality over quantity, the awash with cash quotewas a bit of a tounge in cheek comment, but they seem to spend plenty, but for how long can they keep doing it?
  6. Enlighten me please.
  7. But isn't it just another of the mind boggling make it up as you go idea, I also think that as this series is restricted to one area then penalty for winning should be half and maybe no ratings relief for the tailenders. But once again pumping up the stakes as harness does, just seem to be awash with cash.
  8. That horse of Mark Jones hasn't raced in Southland and had a trial only last week at Ashburton, really, makes a mockery. House don't live in Southland, shouldn't be there either, oh well harness racing is full of manipulators, manipulators of the rating system as well , why makes rules, many don't enforce them, it's simple southern trainers liveing South of the Waitaki.
  9. 141 noms Winton, one day 108 starters Auckland, Cambridge 2 days, just a observation.
  10. 6 races at Cambridge, 7 Auckland, could easily alternate venues One day a week, some of those CD trainers do go to Cambridge, not Auckland, who can blame them ? interestingly rating 46 racing a rating 75 in main pace on same mark is weird.
  11. But you are sometimes getting 10 race winners and more, racing one race winners, often off the same mark, crazy.
  12. A problem gambler for Entain is the ones who wont/don't migrate to them, be interesting to learn if the monopoly will rake in all this extra cash, they must have some small indicator by now.
  13. Is that you personally?
  14. Betting figures may be the same or no gains as you say, well are they letting large punters on? Same for sport, I've stopped but are they letting the large head to head punters on there, I'd say no. And no survey for now but I sent them a email yesterday regarding the sports betting but I suspect they won't take notice anyway.
  15. Mark Jones I see has posted on Facebook about some of the issues, I can't post it here, won't be long and the people in charge will be after his hide for telling the truth, someone smarter than me might find it and post here.
  16. Unless they upgrade their sports betting platform they ain't going to grow income there either, Brodie as for harness if it all turns to custard the guys who are milking it at the moment and some are, (small fields, big stakes, low turnover) well they will have to re-evaluate their careers.
  17. Betfair, you can still log in but you can't access any sports games, races, etc etc was July 23 and so it's done, I hear yesterday TAB advertising live sports betting on ZB, I only hope they can update the platform to gives Kiwis a world class service, I simply can't bet on a game that won't give me in play notifications, when they do that they will be heading forward, until, heading backwards is the way.
  18. That is a enourmas period of time to do nothing, I guess those down the road at Waipukurau ain't too concerned.
  19. At this time be nice to know where the funds from Forbury Park have ended up, strangely Forbury closed but was nothing like the mess Aucklands created, I say created, but im sure if one cent of Forbury funds went to Auckland there would be some very angry people in some places, Forbury money stays in the South, and the money from Entain for geo blocking shouldn't go there either, that's for the betterment of Racing/ Harness racing, , Aucklands mess Aucklands problem, sad as it is.
  20. Yes but the whole handicapping system is open to exploitation.
  21. Galah, I think the handicapping system is open to exploitation, it was pointed out by some that with no stake or rating deductions for fifth that some would be trying not to finish there, should they not be trying to win or does that only happen when the stakes go up,
  22. So if Harness Racing has to survive without betting what do you suggest ? Gamma I don't think Harness Racing is on its death bed, thd Aucklsnd situation is bad but there has to be a way forward, the numbers turning up each week ain't that bad one day a week is more than enough, IMHO.
  23. Gamma just at present they could run ond day a week, they manage to survive at the other end of the country on 1 a week/ 10 day gap.
  24. I have said 1 meeting a week will suffice but as Gamma says lots of happy owners, just about everyone gets a stake, enjoy it while it's there I guess. Reality is HRNZ need a revamp of their though process.
  25. Wellington and Auckland more than any town/city seem to be slipping in terms of Rugbys place in the wider community, Auckland last year in NPC finished 11th of 14, have they ever finished further down the pecking order. Horse racings no different in Auckland, the numbers they get af Ellerslie tell the story. Wellington won last year, that's a rarity as well but looking at the team this year I would hate o be the radio commentator, hardly a pakeha name amongst them, there lies the issue, pakehas now move on to other sports, so does the fan base.
