I note the money has come once again for Khal Drogo in the first race at Addington on Friday night. It quickly moved from $34 in to $18 on fixed odds win!! Last start was the same so where there is smoke there is fire as they say! Must be educated money I would say, but perhaps they didnt finish High School? The way it went last start, you wouldnt touch it with a barge pole, as in its limited career it has not shown alot on the race day, unsure what it has done to warrant support against a reasonably strong field? Someone obviously thinks it can win going by the movement in, but can not see in being in the money on what it has shown so far! Anyone know why it has shortened appreciably?

Maybe he was in terms of the rules, was he deliberate in his actions because it was a stablemate of the horse he didnt train? Allstars wouldnt get done for it ever! It would be in the media big time and not great publicity again for harness racing! We all have opinions and that is good! Reality is that drivers pull back all the time and let other horses in, when they dont have to! They may not be stablemates but are they going to get done? This sets a precedent once again.

Every now and then they put someone out there saying how crook they were, well every winter heaps of people died from the flu in NZ . Fact is that it wont kill you in NZ if you are not on the way out already!

To be fair, we dont have too many occurrances on the whole. To my mind I would have thought that it would happen more than it actually does when you consider the closeness they actually race and speed etc. Of course it is not a lot of fun when the horse you backed, locks wheels! This bunch of losers that we have in charge of running the country are far mkre incompetent than what most people think! There have been no cases of community Covid -19 in Canterbury for months and yet still only 100 allowed on course at Addington?... This is just blatant stupidity and yet NZ sheep continue to accept it! Surely common sense should prevail and get back to normal as no one I know has known a single person with this influenza! With these many many meetings that people havent been allowed oncourse due to the killer virus, surely this is going to lose some of the people that previously were going? Defies logic that this continues indefinitely!

Colin De Filippi in my opinion would be as honest a person that there is in harness racing in NZ. You only have to look at his record for many decades, and questioning his honesty in that race is puzzling? Still dont believe that CJ deliberately let that horse in because it was a stablemate! If an Allstar horse comes around and gives another Allstars horse cover, on the same basis that driver needs to be charged!,

And we don’t see the AllStars stable team driving and giving stablemates favours?? CJ had nothing whatsoever to gain and from watching the replay you can see that if he hadve pressed on then his horse possibly gallops. Ydgren says that it was perceptively damaging the look of harness racing!!! FFS, what be good if HRNZ could look at the many other things that has damaged the image of harness racing which they have caused!!!!

I have only just seen the replay of the race as I didnt watch it live! I dont believe that CJ let the stable mate in because it was a stablemate! You see this sort of thing all of the time and CJ is not an aggressive driver nowadays! Certainly did not deserve 7 days holiday!

Dougie, would not have thought they wouldve paid much for Vigoroso! Not an agent or sold anything for years. I am sure someone will know!

How good is Vigoroso going in Oz! 4 starts and 4 very easy wins all in August since being exported. This horse raced mainly at Forbury and was trained by Denis O’Connell at Waikouiti, but is now trained and driven By Amanda Turnbull. He won 3 races in NZ in over 70 starts and did show some some finishing speed at times but since being in Oz has grown an extra couple of legs! Watched it lead all the way and was never in doubt! The presenter even said that Vigoroso was a very good horse lol The horse looked very well and muscled up and looked like it had even gone a darker colour! It just goes to show that if you have an average battling horse in NZ, it is probably going to be very competitive in most parts of Ozzie!

Correct Happy. They gave it to My Eyre! Robbie Holmes hooks out on the home bend and it wins, but only running for a place today, clearly!!

Minstrel would not have beaten Wild Irish if it was leading and Wild Irish trailed!!! Wild Irish went better than Minstrel who had the easier run in the trail and only got there by a small nostril. No I didnt think Majestic Man was any value at $2. I do not invest on shorties whatsoever! And correct, I can not offload on anything nowadays, and to be fair the Friday night fields are not making for great punting anyway!

So on that basis Ranga, in your opinion, can a business choose not to welcome people of different race or colour? On what basis does the NZ TAB choose to not accept wagers from certain punters?

Fair enough, I was not attacking Matt Peden, and good on him for coming on to Trackside, He may well only be a market pricer and not being paid for his Trackside efforts! However, by being on air for the TAB, he is condoning what the NZ TAB is doing with their Bookies! He comes on and says that there are bets of this and that at odds, all the time knowing that his employer the NZ TAB is not allowing other punters to wager!! The fact is that there are punters all around NZ not being allowed to place wagers on horses that the NZ TAB put up odds for! If they dont want to accept bets and be a Bookmaker in NZ, then get out the fixed odds market and go back to totalisator only. It is a blatant disgrace that in this day and age that they only allow certain punters to net a few hundred dollars!!!!!!!! And Phil Holden states that he wants to drive turnover up???????

If the NZ TAB is only accepting losing punters, then they need to advertise the fact, otherwise it is misrepresentation! NZ TAB only accept wagering from losing punters, and if you are wanting to be a winning punter, piss off you are not welcome as a customer! Bet responsibly providing you are only going to be a consistent losing punter!
