  1. Kelly Evander was nil as well, and shouldnt have had so many starts. wasn’t it trained by the owner, so cheaper and didnt it win a race and place?
  2. Basil, we are all aware that not every horse that is bred as a racehorse stays in work for many years, just so that they are not put down! The majority of owners I know are wanting a reasonable return from spending $20k each year for paying training bills! The horse is a very poor performer and surely the owner and trainer should have realised by now, after 47 starts, that the horse is nil and doesnt deserve to be racing?
  3. We can barely understand what he says, so how on earth are the DarkSiders going to? Mehe is just a troller, but it would be hilarious watching what went on over their with his colourful words, Happy!
  4. Basil, forums are for debate and opinions, whether you appreciate the topic or not! I initiated the post, which in my opinion was that this horse didnt really deserve to be racing after over 40 starts, not a single dividend bearing placing. With the cost of training bills nowadays and seeing your horse finishing down the track every start, didnt make sense. Then a couple decided in their opinion it had nothing to do with anyone but the owner! The horse has continued to race and finish down the track with no real return apart from appearance money. Mehe, has come onto the scene calling me someone who is doing things, which is extremely upsetting to myself! Basil, the fact that the Averos Spitfire story is ongoing nearly weekly, is quite exciting I would have thought, with several enthusiasts waiting with baited breath for a placing! Whether that placing ever arrives is very debateable though! The TAB could run a book on it, will “the Spitfire” ever run a dividend bearing placing?
  5. Mehe, I would kindly suggest that any horse that the champ, Averos Spitfire has ever finished ahead of, is still not racing after 47 unplaced dividend bearing places! To be fair Mehe, is YOU that comes on and writes gobbledygook without commas and fullstops, in reply to my weekly posting. If you do not like it, then don’t post and read a book with commas and fullstops!!!
  6. I will have Mehe, if I am doing what you say I am!
  7. Mehe, seriously, do you need to use profanities, it isn’t overly becoming to be honest! What is fnancy? At least you can spell the swear words!!!
  8. The question needs to be asked doesn’t it? Are all school teachers doing the job they are being paid for? They have received a big pay rise, and yet they are sending out students that don’t know what a comma or full stop is?
  9. Chief, am I allowed to say that Mehe’s vocabulary is as limited as Averos Spitfires ability??
  10. Seriously, you calling “The Brodster” a D F when you have a reasoning that a horse that has not placed in 47 starts is worth persevering with, because it beat two horses home on Sunday, when driven by the best driver in NZ? It is 7 years old, has got very limited ability and yet you feel that it deserves to be racing? Have you ever thought of being a bloodstock agent, Mehe?
  11. Are you serious? So because it finishes down the track in every start of 47, it is great for the owner just because it didnt finish last? You have very high standards Mehe, we can tell!
  12. Taku, I would lay odds that there is more Toku, than being a galloping pacemaker. If he is a galloping pacemaker, then they shouldnt be loading it onto the, as it is not competitive. Taku, no I am not paying the training bill, however personally speaking, I dont encourage mediocracy!!!! You think that it is ok for a horse that has not got enough ability to place in 47 starts to still be in training and racing??? You must have very deep pockets and low expectations if you happy with that!!!
  13. Clearly there has to be a reason that a trainer has lined a horse up for 47 unplaced starts, and an owner has paid out mega dollars with no chance of a return. Mehe, states that it is the owners right to race the horse and pay over big money to a trainer! Seriously, how could any owner get satisfaction and enjoyment from seeing their horse week in and week out, finish down the track.
  14. Mehe, of course I think I am right, because that is called an opinion! If I was wrong then that would not be my opinion? To me, my opinion is correct, just as yours should be! As for someone thinking they should be still racing a horse with no ability, that is just crazy!
  15. Mehe, have you got a problem with people that have a need?
  16. The interesting thing also is the fact that most punters clearly dont look at things too closely! The punters sent the horse out 4/3 with a graduate driver who has hardly driven in 50 years!!! You would wonder if any punters touched it on the fixed odds as well?? The horse had been going ok with Matty on it but you couldnt be on over 2000metre stand with John on it!!! I wouldnt be surprised if Matty takes the reins again next start!
  17. Chief, maybe that is the problem, it needs a standing start? Seriously though, I feel for the horse! Worst thing it ever did was run last when it qualified, it shouldve run a bit slower! Will it line up this coming week for unplaced start no. 48?
  18. Poor horse, it needs to be retired. Only way it is ever going to win a race is if it can cut across the middle of the track Chief. Best driver in the country can not do anything with it, so why would you bother racing a horse with such limited ability? I think it is a bit big for kids karts?
  19. Interesting driver change for Essence of Easton in race 5 at Addington Sunday. Matty williamson who has been the driver for many starts now on Essence of Easton has been sacked and the trainer John Murdoch is taking the reins! The interesting thing is that John has only a Graduation license and over 50 years has only had 61 drives! Has the trainer had enough and decided that he can do better than Matty and Gerard O’Reilly? Will be very interesting!
  20. If you are a restricted punter, there is no hope in hell of getting a lot on even close to race start. The fact that you have to identify yourself now is even more restricting obviously. It is blatantly ridiculous when the TAB want to drive turnover up, and het all they are doing is restricting turnover By not accepting bets. The NZ TAB is a monopoly in NZ and it is illegal for anyone to run a book outside of the NZ TAB!
  21. I am sure that they would be a well known losing punter, that is how They are able to get $25k on. Be a successful punter and we will not let you bet anything worthwhile! We also use the Anti Money Laundering Act so that se have total control over punters! They advertise on Trackside that they are concerned about punters betting habits and yet they allow certain punters on for $25k!!! Others who havent got problems are allowed next to nothing on with them!.
  22. Apparently someone put $25k on the Allstars runner in the last at $1.22! Yes it won, and whoever it was, knew it would win, This is the problem and always has been with the NZ TAB!!!! How on earth is it allowed and ethical that someone can offload $25k and another punter can get on less than $100????????????????? NZ TAB are a very unethical business, and deserve to get a hiding!!!!
  23. Yes of course we all know they work hard and have a great team of workers around them. Why is it that when Blair went to Ken Baron’s, the horses werent improved? Mmm
  24. The NZ TAB dont seem to be taking big bets as such now. $2k at $2 seems to be a big bet, and they even mention $100 and $200 bets at next to nothing Surefire way of losing money if punters are backing the AllStar shorties as they play around quite a bit with who wins, and they are too short anyway.
  25. Watched race 4 tonight at Addington, the 2 year old non winners race. What a great and surprising result that the first five home were from the Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen stable! This is a great result for this stable, and maybe this will continue in the future?? The other horses not from this stable finished a long way back from the placegetters, which could be a wee bit ominous, do you think?
