No, blatantly dangerous Basil! When people are in isolated places like Motukarara and people can not phone someone in urgent need, it is dangerous. Mildly inconvenient is rubbish. I know many racing punters that did not bother going to Mot due to the lack of internet and phone coverage. Standing on top of the hill and Hoping in this day and age is very unacceptable,Basil. Personally dont give a rats, what government has subsidised it, but think it is a bit late to be honest!

As I say, great that there were sellers there today. They were not in sight when I was there which was disappointing, and they shouldve been there and open earlier than they were JAKH! Who would have thought That Motukarara needed a cell tower for phone and internet connection? Finally after decades of racing Motukarara has decided it needed a cell tower! Glenn Hames the club secretary thinks with tote operators eventually not being oncourse, having the cell tower, punters will be able to bet on their phones. Mr Hames thinks this will be a boost for oncourse turnover, Who would have thought this??????? Motukarara has been pathetically behind the times without having phone or internet reception for decades. This has not only been very costly with many punters not going oncourse because of the lack of reception and also that it is just blatantly dangerous, not being able to be contacted if needed!!!!! This is very much overdue Motukarara and has been a very disappointing aspect of the racing at your venue. I am sure you will be rewarded for finally having one in place at Gebbies Valley but why on earth has it taken this long,is the almighty question!!!!

Invaluable went not too bad for a non winner, although it did have its chance to win. The winner went good, change of trainer has made a big difference. The race 8 stand over 2000m was another shocker by the starter!!! Seriously, with all of his experience you would think that he could do a lot better than that???
