We really do need to start some more businesses opening with care. There are far more deaths going to happen from the consequences of the shutdown than the cold virus we currently have!!!!! As for the AllStars success, don’t give a rats, it is just something that is going to be another reason why owners are just not going to be bringing their horses back into work. Hopefully once NZ Racing is back, they may well see the error of their ways and treat all punters equally! The NZ TAB will need as many punters they can get when things start to resume or they may as well close the doors and give the ones that are on mega dollars the D C M!

Seems like a reasonable decision to race at Addington as it is the best track for racing in Australasia bar none. Think Auckland will struggle with fields as there will be A bit of blood on the floor from both the sharemarket and loss of business income and jobs. Many of the small number of owners will not be wasting their time and Auckland certainly can’t afford the large stakes they currently seem to have! Will be interesting to see if there are going to be many that don’t settle on the apartments at Alexandra Park now due to the Corona Virus. Bearing In mind unfortunately the virus death toll doubled today, with respect the deceased was in her 90s and had several age related issues!!!

Maybe the TAB will set one up? Hopefully we will have a more realistic and fair TAB that wants customers rather than trying to turn them away and not accepting bets that are genuine and not money laundering or assisting terrorism!!!

Firstly the point was having an outlet open so that punters can feed their account so that they can have a go on Ozzie Racing! Secondly, yes you can have betting vouchers credited to an account, however how on earth do you do this when there is no TAB agency or outlet open to be able to cash them in????

We all the the TAB are bleeding at the moment , like all other businesses! There is still harness racing on in Australia that we can have a go on if you have funds in your account! However, with the TAB looking for a handout, and essentially a government department, it could be classed as an essential business to try and keep punters sane during the 4 weeks home detention! Obviously at the moment there are no agencies, or pub Tabs open so we can not bet on them. Supermarkets and Pharmacies are open with social separation and queueing so why can’t the TAB open one branch in each city or town so that punters can have an option to be able to feed their TAB account so that they can offload on the Oz races? Some punters have got betting vouchers burning a hole in their wallet that could be cashed in to go into their accounts! There must be a lot of money not being captured that could well be, if this was allowed and give some people some entertainment in their current boring existence!! Not everyone wants to fund it thru their bankcards!

Personally speaking, I don’t need them whatsoever, however I did enjoy the challenge that it provided, as their motto was “you know the odds now beat them” This was changed obviously! The TAB business plan has been seriously flawed for along time and the decision making by some of the hierarchy has been appalling, and they are going to f8nd themselves with a big hole in their finances, which flows onto stake money etc. I do feel sorry for the workers in the racing industry that actually produce the product for punters to bet on, rather than the ones that receive huge salaries for doing bugger all! Hopefully, we can get back out sooner rather than later or the consequences for many are going to be helluva lot worse than catchy Covid19.

Reality is that the side affects of this lockdown is going to be far greater than the virus itself. We have a dozen in hospitals around the whole country and hospitals are only half full. We have had one death unfortunately who already had issues. People’s mental health is going to suffer more from lost revenue from business and severe strain on relationships are going to have dire consequences unfortunately. There has to be an exit strategy that needs to be put in place rather than blah blah blah from Ardern, Robertson has gone off about this $585 per week but didn’t say that it was gross and needed taxing! He waffled on about these Bank loans, but these are not being given out silly nilly! Business still need to show that it is responsible lending as they will sell you up and make you Bankrupt if it is not paid back, so if you have a suspect business why would you bother? This government has a bad habit of spurting off without any details and without thought of the consequences!!!!!
