  1. Gamma with respect, far better than your current PM, he is absolutely hopeless.
  2. Has the fish n chips got gravy on them? The gravy train needs to be stopped and all New Zealanders should have woken up to this BS from TPM! What happened in parliament a couple of weeks ago from TPM was disgraceful and everyone should be able to see what we will have if people are stupid enough to be voting for the Left! Absolute chaos and racing will be finished in NZ!
  3. Great that they were able to keep the $10m deposit but a better result wouldve been for the settlement to have taken place as the interest being paid will have more than killed the deposit being kept! As for getting more than the $90m is going to be very interesting, in normal situations they are dreaming. However it is possible if Maori are the buyers as the NZ taxpayer will be or have shelled out the dosh and we all know they are always treated with favouritism unfortunately for the country. Interesting times and wondering why ATC had not got a backup offer on the property when they knew that the Chinese offer was not going go happen? Are they all asleep at the wheel, they just do not seem that financially intelligent up that way by the look of it?
  4. Well done TAB, you ticking a few things off your bucket list, which is great! When you were hob knobbing with the Entain bosses, did you enquire as to how well they thought they were travelling ? Geez if you can make money on the gallops then you must be a pretty clever punter or just luck on the day?
  5. Both by Lordship?
  6. Would need to be s very wealthy one wouldnt it? Looking forward to knowing what this exciting news is?
  7. Great that there is some positive news in regards the ATC as they just could not continue the way they currently are. Do we know what this positive news actually is as we were told that the building of the apartments was going to be this golden egg for harness and we all know how that has ended!
  8. Apologies to Lionel it is Dobbs not Dodds.
  9. Was looking thru the fixed odds as you do, at Methven on Sunday. Race 9 a 43 to 65 discretionary trot has 2 horses at $301 fixed to win! Has there ever been odds as high as this fixed from the Bookies on harness before? Both horses are non winners from the Lionel Dodds stable, and look as though they are starting as there is no maiden trot on the card! Now they both have an assessment within the 43 to 65 range but seriously it does show what a stupid grading system it is! They both appear to be trotters that will very much struggle to win a race and yet Methven have allowed to race against horses that have won multiple races, and these two maidens would be lucky to win unless they had a massive start. Neither have any show of being near the money and they are going to be an inconvenience to the legitimate chances in the race! Of course the trainer is allowed to nominate his horses for the race as they qualify due to the grading system, but SERIOUSLY Methven Club should be looking at what they have done by allowing these non winners into a race winners field when they have got no show whatsoever! Others opinions?
  10. Nigel and Brenda Armstrong deserve every bit of their successes and more. Very hard workers running the syndicates and trying to entice new people into harness ownership. They do this because they are passionate harness racing enthusiasts and receive no financial compensation apart from their share of the stake money which as we all know disappears back into the training costs for all the horses they own. Apart from running the birdcage area at Addington he is also very unhinged with all of his videos, which I am sure is time consuming!
  11. I used to think that Southland harness racing was inferior to Canterbury racing, especially the trotters. However, after last night, i would have to rethink that lol. Gay McClymont who many probably are say who, brought 2 trotters up from the deep south, and both bolted in! I knew they could trot bit, had a bit of speed but to do what they did to our Canterbury trotters last night was quite surprising. Very well done to Gay and congratulations for coming up and doing what you did, and something you will never forget. Maybe now we might see even more from the South coming up?

  12. Yes grass track racing is great for the industry. I must commend the The TAB/Entain for the fact that they now bring the fixed odds out much earlier than when Entain was not involved, so that is a big plus for racing.
  13. You are correct there are many race meetings that are losing money for the industry, and the decision making is poor in many instances. However everything is fine as Entain is here to booster the stakes for 5 years as they promised so that they have control of NZ’s only legal gambling Agency for 25 years. Everything is rosey until the 5 years is up and then watch the carpet be pulled from our once great harness racing industry.
  14. Well done Gamma, always good entertainment and we appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Brodster had a night of the gallops no wonder I dont like the group type racing lol. Methven fields look ok for Sunday.
  15. Can not recall saying that The Reidman would struggle in the South? Think I said he was a talented horseman or something along those lines.
  16. I have it on good authority that the legal bill for one of the defendants was approx $300k!! This is a massive expense for most people in the harness industry and when there was no case to answer, it is abhorrent. In the meantime the incompetents continue to get paid?
  17. He shouldve put more on! To be fair Entain are not as restrictive as what the TAB was previously which is good.
  18. SpatchCock, spot on! Brodie is trying to continue to point out to HRNZ management, Entain and ATC that what they are doing is not going go work, and to the detriment of harness nationwide. Reality needs to kick in and better decisions re programming, stakes etc. needs implementing surely? SpatchCock, you can not run any successful business the way it is currently being run by chucking money at it with no improvements forthcoming!
  19. Even if that was so, where was HRNZ after that? The thing is the credibility of the Racing Integrity Unit has suffered greatly. The cost to the industry financially is huge and the credibility has also suffered and for what?? The cost of the legal representation for most was huge and most know that harness participants generally are not overly wealthy so has hit them very hard!
  20. Gamma, everyone knew who the socalled defendants were. It had a hell of an effect on all of them from their mental health to the financial costs plus the stigma that surrounded them. HRNZ displayed very poor form throughout and get away with it.
  21. Yeah, Really scarred for life that several of us were banned for posting truths that didnt align with the lickers!
  22. Keystone cops! What about the costs to the defendants? What about the stress and stigma put on the defendants? Just a very sad time for Harness in NZ and HRNZ Integrity should be hanging their heads in shame for allowing this to occur to the ones paying their salaries, based on nothing!
  23. JJ, you do not post because you haven’t got anything. Stick to your knitting on the Darkside, unless you have something of substance to contribute. Small mindedness is not one of your best features.
  24. Yeah they had too much borer in them, so lost a big supply. Never bagged Purdon Stable either, quite the opposite, Paleface. Keep up!
  25. You are wrong Mr SpatchCock! I was merely pointing out the the big number of noms for the Csnterbury Racing compared to the North! The fact that you live in the North is very surprising that you can not answer why there are very few in the North that want to race a horse nowadays? You can try and belittle the Brodster as much as you like but at the end of the day it does not change the fact that harness racing in the North is on life support unless it can be turned around.
