  1. What do you mean by equity of over $4million?
  2. TAB, forums are for open debate and to question decisions being made if they sppear to be wrong or inconsistent. Continual put downs are just a result of the poor decision making that has occurred in recent years and are still bring made. The racing is generally boring and as for punting wise, turnover is extremely poor most of the time. As for better trainers and drivers in the North I personally believe that to be BS, Yes there are some very good horses trained in the North Island however the average horse up there would not be as good as the South Island ones. The South is heavily subsidising the North Island and Entain will eventually realise that this can not continue. Not a put down, just stating fact!
  3. The 2024 Junior Drivers Championship concluded last night at Addington after 5 heats. The ladies performed admirably with three lf them accumulating the highest points. Just shows how lucky we are to actually have so many females in the racing industry especially harness racing. Congratulations to Crystal Hackett who won the championship and Kerryn Tomlinson second and Olivia Thornley third. We all know that there is a lot of luck in this championship and depends on the horses that they draw. However great championship but think that they couldve possibly held at least one more heat than they actually did as if you draw poor horses in a couple of races then you are going to struggle. The ladies have it well over the boys as I think I read that they have won the last 7 runnings of this Championship
  4. Interesting that they confirmed it? I dont bet very often at Auckland nowadays, in fact very rarely! Personally think that punters shouldve been refunded as they were betting into a race that was meant to be 1700m and therefore the race was misrepresented. the 1609m start is too close to the bend where at least the 1700m gives a longer run in! Anyway nothing surprises me up in the North Island racing, there are many instances of puzzling decisions!
  5. As you will be well aware Brodie is not a fan of the short distance racing that is anything shorter than 1980metres, they just should not have them! Now Auckland tonight had a final and it was programmed as 1700 metres, HRNZ had it as 1700m and the TAb had it 1700 and that is what the punters were betting into! However the starter at Auckland was given a race book that said 1609 metres and thats what they raced over! So the race will need to be a non race and every bet refunded to punters! To be fair, the best result for ATC is to not run these terrible short distance races as they are awful betting propositions and normally there is horses that gallop just as they did tonight due to the starting position What a mess and you gave to feel fir the winning connections!
  6. Which Club and when?
  7. What is puzzling is the fact that they are only having one Junior drivers Championship race on Friday night? Wouldve thought it wouldve been better to hold two races on Friday therefore 6 heats. Great to see these championships for our Junior Drivers
  8. Do they have betting facilities there?
  9. Wood Pidgeon?
  10. I note Addington this Friday night has 13 races on offer! Has any harness club ever run as many as 13 races before? Just shows where the strength of harness races is and it is chalk and cheese when you compare to Auckland snd Cambridge!
  11. Hardly think Brodie was hammering Alan Clark at all, for questioning why he put Imperial Command up on Gavel to sell? I was not aware that Mr Clark was a heavy seller of horses due to the number of times he lines them up? If I hadve known that he was a seller I wouldve been into buying The Fiery Ginga, Boots and all.
  12. What are you smoking TAB. You put up a quote from The Galah and tell “The Brodster” to give it a rest?? Where has Brodie been knocking Alan Clark?
  13. Do not really care if they mention every horse prior to a race as punters who follow form have already invested! Do punters actually get talked into backing something just becsuseca Trackside presenter says something? Still maintain that they are not that professional with some of their decisions they have brought in! The removal of place dividends on screen and the very very poor website coming from Sport and Racing Trusted for 20+ years is detrimental to attracting wagering eithout doubt! The monkeys that do the comments are just drongoes seriously!
  14. Lol You have changed its name Galah! TAB is clearly pretty close to Mr Clark or his specialty subject is “Race winners trained by Alan Clark”. To be fair all things considered, Alan Clark did a very good job considering he didnt even have a track of his own to work on. He is clearly an enthusiast who loved the game by starting his horses so many times and regularly at the trials. We all know how Mr Clark was going to drive and as a punter, we took our chances if we backed his horses. The Fiery Ginga was one out of the box, just amazingly tough, and won so many races while being trained by basically an amateur trainer. Alan Clark always ensured there is no loitering in any race that he drives in, and seemed like a nice fellah when he was interviewed. As for Imperial Command being sold for $21K, providing the horse was still sound, then he may well be not too bad value seem he has gone to Oz, where he can be placed better than in NZ, If he remained in NZ then yes he would struggle you would think if he was to continue to race in Canterbury! He has plenty of speed and the trot races are mostly sprints in Oz so he could well win plenty in Oz depending on the state he races in,
  15. Personally wouldn’t touch punting on Gallops to be making money. just too hard to follow form and so many different types of tracks. Personally dont know an restricted gallops punters but do know other harness punters that are restricted. Harness on the other hand is not that hard to make good money if you are prepared to put in timed are astute and methodical.
  16. Gone Surfin surely isnt any value at $5 in that field from 5 the second line? Going to have to be so much better than the others to win from there, you would think? Far too many chances to be gambling in that field?
  17. I love your enthusiasm Gamma for the group racing and tight class racing and Slot races. Not sure too many Punters are as enthusiastic for these Slot races as you are, especially myself lol! Not great punting races due to the number of starters and short odds that will be on offer! We need you over here in NZ for the Promotions Man!
  18. Prefer them to be running more non winner races lol
  19. Na, too much borer in the sleepers!
  20. The early races at Auckland also had pathetically low tote pools! I also notice that the place tote pools are often nowhere near the win pools!! DAH, I wonder why that is now?
  21. Small Car World, is not a small player in harness racing. Very well known businessman, large owner over the years and heavily restricted Punter!
  22. Gamma, can you name one of the “average Joe” that has bought into any one of the slot races in NZ?
  23. Maybe it is green and not race experienced enough? Wonder who bought it and who is training
  24. My question is why was Imperial Command put up for sale on. Gavel? Is Alan Clarke giving the training away? If not I would be very wary of why he was selling the horse!
  25. Wouldnt consider $200k to be a chip in, when you consider the state of harness racing at the moment. Yes we have had this influx of money from Entain for a few years but personally do not have any confidence in the way things are currently being done!
