  1. Great, hope you take plenty off the Bookies! TAB. Needs punters offloading,
  2. It’s all good CP. Haven’t had an investment for over 2 months now since the TAB put me as a potential money launderer! Not really missing it either as it just not worth the effort as everything is now in the favour of the TAB. Premier nights I don’t like as too many short priced favourites and backing outside of them I class as gambling! I am sure some people will make money but as a betting platform I have never liked Premier type meetings when there is plenty of form. Give me a maiden any day.
  3. It is an interesting night of racing tonight. Too much form and short odds to be able to make money tonight. Good luck to the ones that have a go and the money launderers!
  4. To be fair Retarded Driver is a wee bit funny with his comments re retarded drivers. On Tuesday he said that he had retired from commenting and 2 days later he is back. Lol. No one should take offence to his comments!
  5. The problem is that there is no anonymity with this TAB control. Win several times and you are restricted and controlled as to how much you can bet! Total control of all punters is what they now have!! Punters will desert the NZ TAB.
  6. Carry on the way they are and there will be no sand left in the pit!
  7. No, not my brother, half brother, step brother or religious brother! He was refused betting by the TAB for a few things and if He did do,the things he was accused of, I have no problem with that! I do have a problem with the TAB refusing or restricting punters due to the fact that they dont like punters that like to win!!!
  8. I don’t believe that the AllStars horses do go that well on the grass compared to the Allweather. Due to the fact that grass is a great leveller and far slower than the allweather obviously. Often when the grass track racing is on also, the 2 in charge at the AllStars stables are overseas , and horses are not getting the same treatment!!
  9. Sounds like a good idea, send all of them to the N.I.
  10. Sorry but how can any business continue when there have been too many mistakes made? An $80 million loss is unbelievable really. Not sure where the money for the stakes are gong to come from for Auckland? The Auckland apartment has been a total eff up from basically when it started and how on earth could you possibly stuff up so badly in Auckland market? Eventually there are going to so few trainers in the North that they will not be able to hold races. You have got your head in the sand if you believe that Auckland can get out of this shambles!
  11. Happy, think it is a great idea to have fixed odds out early, so that it encourages punters to have a go if they see any value. Earlier the better I would say, if you are a punter. I am sure they are going to be hard to pick tomorrow as it is the first grass track meeting. Good luck to those that are having a go.
  12. Mark is a very good caller and he will get plenty of opportunities in oz. Matt Cross will do a very good job
  13. I see Sam drove Don’t Rock The Boat over a week or so ago, so it was his 3rd drive.
  14. This young fellah Sam Thornley drives a helluva lot better than many senior horsemen. Having only his second drive, he drove a near perfect drive on Don’t Rock The Boat to run 3rd, alongside his first drive where he won. He possibly would have won tonight if he had used the whip a bit more tonight , but didn’t as he would be worried about what happened at his first drive. Don’t know Sam Thornley at all, but he is going to have no trouble picking up plenty of drives in the future.
  15. Yeah/na Notice how Forbury has given up on them I think!
  16. Just got back from Europe yesterday Ranga and bit of jet lag lol. Selectively watched parts on IPad this morn, not sure turnover can be up as he said that the tote pools were poor. As for mile racing being easier on horses, wouldn’t say that was true as a lot of form reversals over a mile.
  17. What did Michael say? Did he say that mile racing was popular and punters were offloading on them?
  18. Evidence, is the pathetic pools that are generated on the tote Ranga. Punters are voting with their feet nowadays and mile racing doesn’t encourage punters to offload!
  19. Why on earth is Auckland continuing with 1609metre races again. A word in your ear Auckland Trotting Club, if you think you are attracting people to bet on mile racing, you are dreaming. Your Racing is never that exciting and you continue to program mile racing! It is hard to come from the back over any distance on your 1000metre track, however racing over a mile is just blatantly stupid. OK I am not going to be offloading anyway due to the TAB considering me a money launderer, but to program races over such short distances is not overly attractive for any serious punter, and certainly won’t be encouraging new money and people oncourse.
  20. Blood not spun?
  21. Good to see! Clearly he has the ability and I am sure he will be a successful Junior.
  22. Happy it is so pathetic it isn’t funny? They May as well just close the bookies down as they are going to have so few actually betting with them, as very few new punters coming thru and others just giving it away the NZ TAB is rudderless and this so-called new betting platform has made things no better at all
  23. The Box Seat back on the screen last night. Always appreciate it when they discuss important issues that affects harness racing rather than watching races that have already been run. We all can watch replays anyway. Michael commented that he thought that Fixed Odds had stymied betting and tote pools were now very poor. He stated that he was restricted to winning $300 on fixed odds now on a Thursday night and doesnt now bother very often, and this is the biggest thing affecting Harness Racing! He stated that it is driving punters away and this flows on to non ownership etc. Michael you are totally correct that punters are being driven away and personally haven’t had a bet since the NZ TAB have considered that I could be a money launderer for collecting over $1k!! Harness Racing is struggling hugely at the moment and will continue to do so while decisions are being made to discourage punters!
  24. Flag, how do u know about the Cruz night club?
  25. Currently in Munich for another couple of days, then home. All these blokes wearing these stupid looking leather pants and walk socks. Went to see the Dachau Concentration Camp. Very sobering and how Hitler was allowed to get away with the atrocities he did for so long before the 2nd world war, defies any logic. Great to see the massive divs on the tote at Oamaru from the Blue and Silver!
